About: I am an experienced pet carer with many years of experience with my own animals, friends and families and have also volunteered at shelters caring for both dogs and cats. I have worked with many special needs pets and difficult behaviors and worked with animals to help make them ready for adoption. I am caring and attentive to all animals needs! I am currently working in person Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 7-5. These days I am available early morning and evening for your pets. The rest of the days I am free and happy to be with your pets as long as you’d like :) I can also do overnights as well. I am very attentive, caring, and open to many different animals and needs. I love taking dogs on walks and getting them the exercise they need. I love playing with cats and giving everyone lots of love and attention. I can also bring in mail, water plants or anything else you might need while you are away.
“John, who goes by Jack, came over early to learn the cat procedures, stepped up at a last minute booking and did a great job, including the extra tasks. He communicated well and we were very happy with his service.”
About: My husband Brendan and I moved to South Lake Tahoe a year ago, we have a sweet one year old Labrador called Poppy and are looking forward to connecting with other dog lovers in the area! I am working from home and have a flexible schedule, so I can go on dog walks and do drop offs and pick ups as well. We have a fenced backyard where dogs can run and play safely. Our lab Poppy loves other dogs and will keep them entertained, loves to play and cuddle.
“Katie did a great job looking after my two kitties. She responded right away to my booking inquiry and came over to meet the kitties before our trip. Katie was on time, responsive, and reliable. She had to deal with the fact that my kitties have a habit of getting excited, eating too fast, and then not being able to keep it down. She checked in with me and made some feeding adjustments over the visits and by the end of our trip both kitties were happily retaining their food. She also sent lots of great pictures during her visits. I would recommend Katie to others and hope to book with her again in the future.”

“Alexandra was a pleasure to have visit my dog. She was kind, experienced, transparent, and really made my dog feel comfy while I was away. I would definitely recommend her for all her available pet services!”

About: My love for animals follows me wherever I go: from guiding mule rides in the Grand Canyon to fostering kittens while rock climbing in West Virginia - the animals always seem to find me! I was born and raised with horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents and reptiles. This eclectic group taught me a lot about caring for and acknowledging each animals unique needs and characteristics. I've cared for sensitive, young, old, special needs and difficult dogs over the years, and know some require more patience and attention than others. Giving medicine, preparing special diets, providing mentally stimulating activity and preventing dogs from over exertion after surgery are all tasks I've done as a dedicated pet owner for a variety of small and large dog breeds. I'm currently a full-time student at LTCC and work for the Wilderness Education and Outdoor Leadership AA Degree Program. My schedule is flexible and I can work from home part time. I can take an hour break often to check in on pets. I care for pets in clients' homes and can take them out on adventures when appropriate. I often have dogs come visit my house on a field trip. I live near Reagan Beach and enjoy hiking the local trails. Typically go for 3 mile hikes for about an hour in the morning or afternoon.
“Nicole took such great care of my girls and even got my shy/feral cat to play with her! I got some of the best action shots of my kitten jumping that had me and the friends I was visiting cracking up. I was never worried about my pets at all while I was away because Nicole was very responsive and communicative. My kittens and home were well taken care of 🥰”

About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.

“Leah is amazing!!! She provided so much reassurance, care, and genuine love to my furbabies. This was my first time going away since my older cat was diagnosed with diabetes. Leah administered the 2x/day insulin shots like a pro and kept me updated on all fronts with each visit, including lots of pictures! My cats absolutely loved her. I knew they'd be in such good hands from our first meeting. Leah's kindness, intuitiveness, and genuine compassion completely eased all my anxieties. She went above and beyond to help out with a new situation for me. 100% will be using her again. Thank you Leah <333”

About: I have been a volunteer for local animal shelters in Chico. I have fostered some doggos in need for some loving attention outside of the shelter. Even if the dogs were large or had behavioral or people issues, it wasn’t too big of a job for me to manage…even if the poops were large too, no big deal for me! And of course I have owned some doggos for my own loving and caring for them. I am a quite active person and would have no problem exceeding your dog if needed. That could be in the form of walks, hikes, or even runs if that is your doggos cup of tea. Regardless, would love to care for your animal! I am well kept with basic dog maintenance too! If that’s ensuring all poops in the yard are gathered and disposed, brushing hair off the dog, sweeping hair off the ground, cleaning up messes made by the doggo, basic training, and any other care the dog may need I am certainly willing to ensure your dog is in good loving hands. I am free mornings, afternoons, annd evenings. I will ensure to make time to tend to the dog in that time being! Ensuring the proper communication and an early enough heads up will help me help you tend to your loving pup! All dogs have different reactions to stimulations. I had a dog who couldn’t be around people, so I would walk him in rather remote areas to ensure his time outside, safety, and would also practice to bridge the gap to safely train them to be better around people. For other dogs, it’s about trust. A dog sometimes protects and needs to know you’re an ally. Ensuring the dog that I’m a friend will make for a better relationship with the pup especially if I’m staying at someone’s home. Leashes will be on at all times outside the home to ensure the safety and control of the dog as well.

Kerri took excellent care of our senior cat (including giving ear medicine) during our 4 day get-away. She communicated regularly and consistently provided videos and updates. Kerri was also clean and neat & was extremely flexible about modifying our schedule as needed. Highly recommend.

Angelique did a fantastic job taking care of our four kitties while we were away! She was very responsive, took care of everything that needed to be done, and even trudged through a snowstorm to make sure our fur babies were fed and cared for. We truly appreciate her dedication and would not hesitate to hire her again!
