About: Dogs have been a part of my family since childhood. My sweet dog, June, passed at the age of 15 last year. I have a loving home, great yard, and daily walks to share! I have experience with small to large dogs, including rescues and puppies. I work from home several days a week, and have open weekend availability to give your pet love and support while you are away. I walk everyday, even when not hosting a pet. My home is accustomed to the routine and flow of having a dog in the family, so your pet will be loved and cared for like family while you are away! I have a large yard, with very quiet neighbors around me. It’s a very peaceful, open place for animals. My previous dog loved chasing the squirrels and groundhogs! It has never been fenced because I preferred to be outside when the dog was outside, and walks are my preference. Your dog will be leashed and accompanied for safety and support, whenever I venture outside. I can crate your pet if that provides security. I have a comfy, quiet home with a large front window for watching neighbors go by, if your pet loves to lay and watch the street.

If your work schedule and busy life are keeping you from giving your pup the exercise and attention they need, I'm here to help. Pets have always been a part of my life. Currently, our family has two birds and one dog: a 26-pound Mini Pinscher mix that keeps us on our toes. Professionally, I'm a freelance pet journalist, and I've covered everything from "enforced puppy naps" to "touch sensitivity" and beyond. While I'm certainly enthusiastic about meeting any dog or cat, I also understand some pets need a gentler approach. Every dog (and cat) is an individual, with their own unique preferences and personality. That's why I'll spend some time getting to know them at our first meet-and-greet. I do freelance work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can pop in for a check-in or "sniffari" walk when it works best for your pooch: mornings, afternoons, or early evenings. About: I've had a dog since I was little, so I grew up with dogs. I have trained my roommate's dog some tricks: gives paw, high five, spin, speak, whisper, and other tricks. I can try to train even the most stubborn of dogs, I am patient and stubborn too and will keep trying. It may take awhile. I love long walks, I usually do recall and discipline (stop, sit and wait until no more pulling) while we are on walks. I am pretty available right now when it comes to daytime. Bigger dogs will be more of a challenge for me, but as long as they don't bite I'll be okay. I am excited for this opportunity to show dogs love and take care of them.

Mia is a wonderful cat sitter. This was the first time our two cats met her, and we were surprised by how quickly they became comfortable with her, since they are usually shy around new people. Mia took great care of them, followed the feeding instructions carefully, and was very patient and gentle with them. She also spent time playing with them and made them feel safe and happy. My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.
