“Gina has been incredible! She comes twice a week to let our hyper pup out. Between tug a war in the living room on a cold or rainy day or long walks when it’s nice outside I know we can rely on her. Thanks for everything!!!!”

“Lauren was amazing! She took my Lucy on a nice long walk, played with her in our back yard and game her lots of attention. Made sure she had food and water and gave her a bone I left for her before she left. She also sent lots of pictures which made being away from her much easier!”

“I’m so happy that I found Karen! She did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. She sent so many photos and really made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care.”

“An amazing sitter! She went above and beyond for us. So thankful for her and being able to drop in last minute for us. I would recommend to anyone. She handled our crazy pups so well.”

“Rachel was very kind and attentive to my dog & I felt very comfortable having her check-in on him from the first day they met. She was always been very prompt and reliable.”

About: Hi! My (preferred) name is Daisy & I've been taking care of dogs ever since we adopted my very first canine best friend in 2011! Friends and family have trusted me to take care of their fur babies and I've been handling & working with dogs almost every day for almost two years as a doggy daycare attendant, kennel staff, special pup advisor, and group coordinator. I love taking them on walks and practicing sits, stays, downs, give paws, etc... I absolutely love all animals and promise to take care of your babies as if they were my own! I currently work part-time so I'll have plenty of time to check in on & spend with your pets! I'm available Saturdays before 12pm, Sundays all day, & most holidays before 3pm. Weekday hours vary and I will always be super transparent about my availability! Your pets' safety is important to me so please feel free to leave detailed instructions and I will follow them to a T. I will also keep consistent contact with you, providing (p)updates with photos! I can crate your dog(s) if needed as well. I'm also Red Cross animal first aid certified. I've handled several scuffles and am able to remain calm in any situation that may arise. Your pet will always be safe with me!
“We booked Madison for drop in visits with our dog Milo. Madison was responsible and wonderful with Milo! Her love for animals certainly shines through her personality! Thank you Madison!”

“Jonathan did an excellent job looking after my cat and keeping him company while I was away on vacation. Very responsive, and provided detailed updates. Would recommend any time.”

About: I've grown up with pets my entire life and have had 2 of my own dogs. They both had medical issues so I am very familiar with administering medications and preparing special meals. My home is currently pet-free and I would be so happy to spend time with your dog while you're away. I have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I currently work part time and always have Wednesdays and Fridays-Sundays off. I also have some Tuesdays off, and if I do work on Tuesdays it is only from 8-2. Mondays can be discussed. My house has a fully fenced in backyard and I never leave dogs outside unattended. Dogs are welcome to snuggle on my furniture and in bed with me if they like. If your dog is crate trained, feel free to bring their crate or I have a large one they can use. There are no other dogs or children in my home so your dog gets my full attention!
“Sheryl is the absolute best! She takes such good care of our guys when we are away. It makes our whole trip that much better knowing they are in such good hands while we are away. Thank you again.”

“Maddy was great coming in daily to check on our three kitties. It was a great peace of mind knowing she was checking on them (and cleaning all their poo-I’m sure there was a lot of poo) and that she lives so close. We will definitely utilize Maddy again whenever we are out of town.”
About: I worked at a doggy daycare from 2019-2021 where I not only got to play with dogs of all size but handled cleaning, feeding, medication administration and first aid. From 2021-present I worked at Veterinary Emergency Group learning how to best handle all types of emergencies in all types of animals! I am a current DVM student at St. George’s University where I have learned basic anatomy and pathology during my past year in Grenada! I am available any day any time as I am on break from SGU for my DVM degree! Other than my current externship in Buffalo I have plenty of time for those who need me! I have a backyard and front yard for lots and lots of playing time! I have no issue with however you prefer your pet care!

“Alyssa was so amazing with my fur babies. She sent daily photos and was extremely communicative. Also cleaned up behind them when they were being a bit naughty (knocked over plants lol) Ultimately, I came home to a clean litter box and extremely happy kittens. I am certain they will miss her and I intend to rebook with Alyssa in the future.”

“Shannon is excellent! I feel comfortable going away knowing my fur baby is being well taken care of. Shannon put me at ease with sending updates and pictures throughout the time I was away. I highly recommend Shannon and I hope she is available in the future!”

About: My mother had a boarding company so I spent a lot of my childhood helping care for all the doggos. I have also volunteered at numerous shelters & farm sanctuaries & have helped care for even more than just cats & dogs. I also have an 8 year old chocolate lab & 2 five year old kitties myself that I love & care for every day. I am currently working part time, with availability anytime after 4 pm Monday through Thursday! In the next 3 weeks my availability will open up a little bit more! I was raised around both cats & dogs & have a very good understanding of how to read both animals. I have a very soft calm aura as well as a lot of love & patience to build trust with the fur babies.
About: Hi, I’m Kenzie! Dog walking is my way of scratching the “I want a dog” itch without adopting another pet. 😅 I’ve had dogs my whole life and miss the walks, adventures, and companionship they bring. These days I’m a cat mom to two spoiled cats, so I get my dog fix by helping other pet parents. Whether your pup wants a long walk, playtime, or just some company, I’m happy to give them plenty of attention and affection. Reliable, patient, and communicative, I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own—and you’ll get lots of updates and photos along the way. I currently work part-time, which gives me flexibility for pet care throughout the week. My schedule varies, but mornings are typically my most available time. If you have specific scheduling needs, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see if we can make it work! As a mom, pet owner, and counselor, I’m naturally attentive and dependable. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your pet’s routine, and keep you updated every step of the way so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cheektowaga
We were gone for two weeks and Gina was amazing - she was super responsive and did great with our two cats. We were nervous leaving them for the first time, but we’re more than glad that we chose her to watch them, and we’re going to use her in the future if needed

My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cheektowaga. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 89% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
