“Ciara was great! Our cats have different diets and one of them gets meds. They are shy and don't come out but Ciara knew how to get the job done. We would definitely leave the kitties in her care again.”

“Jonathan was awesome with my dog Thor. Absolutely loved every picture he sent on all drop in visits with him while I was away for a weekend, Thor was always super excited to see him and it was like he had been taking care of him for years based on his reaction. Highly recommend”

“Maddy was great coming in daily to check on our three kitties. It was a great peace of mind knowing she was checking on them (and cleaning all their poo-I’m sure there was a lot of poo) and that she lives so close. We will definitely utilize Maddy again whenever we are out of town.”

“Gina was AMAZING! She watched our cats over the blizzard Christmas weekend, and went out of her way to make sure our boys were still very well taken care of even despite difficult travel, etc. She somehow managed to figure out (without us telling her) that our one cat loved bubbles, and that made us so happy to know she tried different toys and put effort into her time with them. Because travel was delayed and difficult, she kept a very open line of communication and was very quick to respond to our worries about the storm, made sure we still had heat, etc. Can't recommend her enough!”

“Elisabeth took incredible care of my cat while I was away! I got plenty of photos and she was even kind enough to give in to his daily demands to be brushed. It was such a relief to know he was well taken care of while I was gone for two weeks. Elisabeth was able to step in and extend her visits when my return trip was delayed for a day. Highly recommended!”

“Omg she took her Pig outside so Katie knew how happy she was to see her!! Ty for going above and beyond to love our Girl!! Giving her medication so she is all set!! You ROCK!!”

“We booked Madison for drop in visits with our dog Milo. Madison was responsible and wonderful with Milo! Her love for animals certainly shines through her personality! Thank you Madison!”

“I cannot say enough about Abigail! Wow! She was incredible to work with and she was exceptional with our dogs. I loved her updates and photos - I swear it looked like our dogs were smiling in the video. She is trustworthy and conscientious!”

“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

“Kara was wonderful! It was my first time using Rover for cat drop-ins and she made the whole process stress-free. She was very gentle and understanding when it came to dealing with my shy boy. She was very professional and quick to respond, as well. I'll definitely reach out to Kara again if I need another sitting. Thanks so much!”

“Ashley was phenomenal!! My circumstances were so last minute and she was so accommodating and flexible to help. She checked in daily with all the updates and great photos to keep me included in their day to day. My dogs had a wonderful time with her and I would absolutely love to use her services in the future and will hands down be recommending her to others. Thank you!”

“Alyssa was so amazing with my fur babies. She sent daily photos and was extremely communicative. Also cleaned up behind them when they were being a bit naughty (knocked over plants lol) Ultimately, I came home to a clean litter box and extremely happy kittens. I am certain they will miss her and I intend to rebook with Alyssa in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cheektowaga
Gina was excellent. She went beyond what I would expect. In addition to the daily feedings and litter pan maintenance, she offered to take out our kitchen garbage when it started to stink up our home while we were on vacation. She also let me know when one of the cats had gotten sick on our carpet, and she offered to clean it for me with our carpet spray. She brought in our packages while we were gone, too! That was not necessary, but of course it was appreciated! I loved that she sent us photos of the cat routinely. It was reassuring to see that they were doing well. I would highly recommend Gina. She was reliable and took the task seriously.

Kara was great with my beagle! We set up a meet and greet that went well! She helped us out when our other pet sitter had a conflict. There was a small miscommunication about the 1st arrival time but was quickly corrected. She did 2 drop in visits on a Saturday and spent an hour each time. Wore my baby out on the short walks and my pup slept great. Kara is very responsive and loving. Would definitely use her again!

10 out of 10! Karen is the best! Our kitties were so well taken care of and loved! She thought of every detail, and was so considerate to our travel needs. Medication administration, food, playtime, and she sent the most adorable photos! I’ve never felt so secure going out of town- they were in great hands! Thank you Karen!

My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
