“Sierra is great! My dog Louie needed supervision short notice due to a medical issue and Sierra was flexible, accommodating, timely, personable, respectful, and despite his tendencies to be a bit shy, Louie loved her. Absolutely recommend and will be rebooking!”

“Meaghan was absolutely amazing with our kitties! We have a spicy gal who doesn't tolerate strangers well, and she waltzed right up to Meaghan and rubbed on her! Meaghan is the cat whisperer, and takes great photos! Would highly recommend!”

About: Hello! My name is Jessica. I have been a licensed veterinary technician for 4 years. I work part time at an exotics only clinic. If you have any small companian animals, reptiles, or feathered friends that need care please feel free to ask me! The goal of my job is to relieve the stress you may have from not being able to come home to your beloved pets, or to know that they are in safe hands if you go on a trip. I do have a full-time job near Clarence, NY. I work 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday. I do get hour long lunches and can stop for lunch visits if you are close. As a veterinary technician I can monitor your pet more closely in case they are sick. Since I do not know your pet or how they react in certain situations, I would take extra caution when going outside or for walks to make sure I keep them safe.
About: I absolutely adore animals but especially dogs, I worked at a dog kennel for two years, which has helped me to gain experience around dogs of any and all different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments/requirements. I have been dog sitting/walking and doing overnight stays for 3 years and take great pride in taking care of your pet as if they’re my own! I am working part time at a kennel right now, however my shifts are very short (5 hours max but typically 2.5-3 hours). I get my schedule on a week to week basis, so if you want to guarantee that I have the availability to watch your pup, let me know at least 2 weeks in advance and I will happily request off from work to help you out (please still feel free to reach out even if its less than 2 weeks in advance, I likely will still be able to help you out). Having such short shifts, im available for pop-ins and walks the majority of the day, however there should be no problem with staying overnight as my latest shift is from 8:15-9:15pm at the kennel for let out. I will care for your pet as if it’s my own to ensure their safety and enjoyment for the time I am with them, as well as making sure your home is safe while you are away. I will follow any and all instructions that are given to me to guarantee everything runs smoothly and that your pup has a great and safe time!
“Jonathan did an excellent job looking after my cat and keeping him company while I was away on vacation. Very responsive, and provided detailed updates. Would recommend any time.”

“Rachel was very kind and attentive to my dog & I felt very comfortable having her check-in on him from the first day they met. She was always been very prompt and reliable.”

“Maria was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. She took care of our two dogs and one of then is a bit aggressive (anxiety) with strangers and he ended up loving her. She is so good with the animals and just an overall great person. We hope that she will be available in the future for us to use! Thank you so much Maria!”

“Kelly has been fantastic with our two dogs. Very professional and flexible to work with our changing schedules. She is always reachable when you have questions and very caring with our dogs. Both our dogs get so excited in the morning when we leave for work and tell them Kelly will be here later to take you for a walk. Would recommend her for whatever your pet needs are without any hesitation!”

“My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.”

About: Having recently graduated from undergrad, I’ve spent the past few years pet sitting for friends and family whenever they’ve gone on vacation. I have two cats of my own and grew up with pets at all times. Whether it’s boarding, drop-in visits, or dog walking, I aim to provide a safe, attentive, and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners. I recently graduated from undergrad and am currently working part-time while job searching, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! My work schedule varies from week to week, but I receive it two weeks in advance and can plan accordingly. Feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to chat more. :) I offer boarding, drop-in visits, and dog walking with a strong focus on safety, trust, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. Every animal is different, and I love getting to know their personalities. Whether your dog is high-energy and ready for a long walk or prefers a slower pace and extra time relaxing inside, I’m happy to match their vibe. I also really value communication. The more I know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can show up prepared and make the experience smooth and stress-free for both of you. At home, I keep a clean, calm, and pet-friendly space so pets can settle in easily. In your home, I’m respectful of your space while making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well taken care of. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and make your pet feel like they’re in good hands.
About: - I have a 3 yr old rescue named Maisy who deals with reactivity so we no longer offer boarding or daycare in our home. I also have a 9 year old Belgian Malinois who my boyfriend rescued from animal fighting. She is sweet as pie and a people lover. Both of my dogs have undergone training programs at the art of dog. Maisy has also done training at the happy hound. Both girls are healthy and up to date on vaccines. - I previously fostered for Buffalo Underdogs Rescue, which gives me a chance to help save many amazing dogs, learn to potty train and care for puppies and young dogs - I volunteer at white whiskers dog sanctuary where I have learned to care for elderly and special needs pups - I grew up dog-sitting for neighbors and friends and also have a family senior dog who I grew up caring for - I have volunteered as a dog walker for a local animal shelter I work remotely on Fridays and can be home all weekend. Monday through Thursday I work in the office in downtown Buffalo near canal side. I am open to services on these days after 5pm. I will follow the specific instructions left for me by the owner. I ask for a thorough and detailed list of information regarding how to make your pet happy and well taken care of so I can be sure to provide the best care I can. I will treat your pet like they are my own.
“We booked Madison for drop in visits with our dog Milo. Madison was responsible and wonderful with Milo! Her love for animals certainly shines through her personality! Thank you Madison!”

About: Animal experience includes working at a grooming shop and walking and babysitting a handful of dogs for several years, as well as always having dogs of my own. I have experience and am comfortable with big, small, shy, nervous, aggressive, sick, traumatized and old animals, so I can handle whatever your pet might throw my way. And I love to run; I'm happy to run with your dog if they want. I'm also comfortable administering medications, transporting animals, bathing, and following training instructions. Most importantly, my clients have always trusted me to be an honest and dependable person. Can't wait to meet you and your furry friend! I work short shifts and am pretty flexible at the moment. Available for drop in visits and walks. Message me and we will make it work. I follow instructions left by you, to keep your pet and home safe and your pet comfortable. Happy to take outside, feed, walk, and administer meds.
“Jordan was an amazing sitter for our cat Data. She was always on time and doing everything as scheduled with love and care. Data's food bowls, litter box and the whole space around were neat and clean when we arrived. Her reports were very informative and the photos of our baby-boy were fun. Our cat warmed up to her quickly and just wanted more play and pettings while she was with him. He will miss Jordan. We highly recommend her services and will definitely book her again when we travel in the future.”

“Ashley is amazing! My cat is very shy and usually hides when meeting strangers, but she warmed up to Ashley almost immediately. Ashley’s pictures were beautiful and her updates were informative. I would ask Ashley to care for my pets again without hesitation.”

About: Hi my name is Samantha, I have a home I share with my toddler son and we have 1 pup. We have our 10yr old small spaniel mix, Daisy, that I’ve adopted from Texas. She gets along well with other dogs & loves to play. It was apparent that she never experienced her puppy days before our family took her in. I've had her for 8yrs now and she has become so comfortable and happy in her forever home with us and is very active. She loves to go out on walks and is an even better snuggler. I have had animals my entire life so I love to play, walk and go for runs with them. They have free-roam of the house and the fenced in back yard, and I'm ok with them on my furniture. My dog loves to walk when we can get out, but if not, she loves playing outside before I leave for work and as soon as I get home she runs the back yard. I work during the day M-F, however I work from home 2 days/week. I typically spend my nights home. I am in the military reserves so 1 weekend a month I am away from my home and try not to accept sitting during those long days. I would like more company for my dog as we recently lost her older fur-sister, this has been a transition for us all losing our sweet girl. I have plenty of toys and treats, and I ensure dogs always have free roam of our space. I would just ask that I'm made aware of any restrictions, allergies, behavior issues, etc. ahead of time. I will make sure your dog has the best service and attention in my home and will keep you up to date with their activities by texting pictures and video's through out their stay if you ever wanted! I work M-F, mix-matched teleworking days (flexible). I get up in the morning to let my dog play in the back yard, then she eats before I leave for work. We like to play in the back yard every 1-3hrs and we take breaks frequently so there would be some indoor and outdoor exposure for daily play (weather pending). My yard is fully enclosed so I like to bring my dog out with me to play, sniff, lounge and anything else. I have an outside pool that is for dogs so they can get water, play in it or lay down to cool off whenever they’d like. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to play with. I also have 2 crates available as needed if it’s a preference of yours. In your home, I can follow any instructions left to make sure your fur-baby feels as comfortable as possible at home in their space without you there.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
