“Sierra did a great job taking care of my pug, Mac, who requires daily medication and can be grumpy at times. She provided updates of each visit and included photos and videos as well. Will definitely use again!”

“Makayla was very caring and professional. She came out to meet our pets in advance and kept us updated with notes and pictures. Her communication from initial contact through her final visit was stellar. We recommend her highly and without reservation.”

“Emma did a great job taking care of my precious kitties! They warmed right up to her, and it made it so much less stressful for me to be apart from them knowing they were being loved in my absence. It is so nice to be able to find quality caregivers on Rover. Thank you, Emma, for taking such good care of my girls!”

About: I absolutely adore animals but especially dogs, I worked at a dog kennel for two years, which has helped me to gain experience around dogs of any and all different sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments/requirements. I have been dog sitting/walking and doing overnight stays for 3 years and take great pride in taking care of your pet as if they’re my own! I am working part time at a kennel right now, however my shifts are very short (5 hours max but typically 2.5-3 hours). I get my schedule on a week to week basis, so if you want to guarantee that I have the availability to watch your pup, let me know at least 2 weeks in advance and I will happily request off from work to help you out (please still feel free to reach out even if its less than 2 weeks in advance, I likely will still be able to help you out). Having such short shifts, im available for pop-ins and walks the majority of the day, however there should be no problem with staying overnight as my latest shift is from 8:15-9:15pm at the kennel for let out. I will care for your pet as if it’s my own to ensure their safety and enjoyment for the time I am with them, as well as making sure your home is safe while you are away. I will follow any and all instructions that are given to me to guarantee everything runs smoothly and that your pup has a great and safe time!
About: I’ve taken care of my childhood dog for 15 years up until the end. So I’ve worked with puppy stages and loving runs until enjoying a slow stroll. I am a very active person usually getting 15-20k steps a day. With summer approaching I’d like to enjoy more time walking outside. Since I’m unable to get a dog in college I’d love to help others get there dogs more chances to get outside I believe a dog should follow its routine and it’s already known behavior. If the dog is usually crated while family is away or in a specific room which ever works best for the dog and family.
About: Hello! My name is Jessica. I have been a licensed veterinary technician for 4 years. I work part time at an exotics only clinic. If you have any small companian animals, reptiles, or feathered friends that need care please feel free to ask me! The goal of my job is to relieve the stress you may have from not being able to come home to your beloved pets, or to know that they are in safe hands if you go on a trip. I do have a full-time job near Clarence, NY. I work 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday. I do get hour long lunches and can stop for lunch visits if you are close. As a veterinary technician I can monitor your pet more closely in case they are sick. Since I do not know your pet or how they react in certain situations, I would take extra caution when going outside or for walks to make sure I keep them safe.
“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

“This was our first experience leaving our three pups with a sitter while going on vacation. From our first meet and greet we knew Jessica would be a great fit for our crew. While we missed them while we were gone, we had no worries that they were being well cared for. Jessica sent messages to let us know how each visit went as well as a few photos from the visit. She did notify of some small issues (skin irritations, etc) and gave updates as needed. Jessica treated our pups as if they were her own and they loved her in return. She was also very respectful of our house and did extra little things that were greatly appreciated (rolling trash can up to garage and bringing in mail). We will be booking Jessica again to take care of our dogs in the future!”

“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

“My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.”

About: Here for all the walks, attention and care you need! Hi I am Celina W. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and been a hands-on, reliable pet sitter for friends and family since I was a teenager. As a dog mom to a German shepherd (Loki) and Malinois mix (Meelo), my experience with working breeds makes me a perfect fit to handle even the most energetic of dogs. If there are any behaviors or manners you are working on with your pet, please let me know and I will work with your pet on skills! My shitzu-yorkie Stella had puppies in my closet when I was a teenager, so I have hands-on experience handling dogs from birth- golden years. I have even rescued cats from a burned house and was able to foster and rehome them. I’m the kind of sitter who gets down on the floor to play, encourages enrichment activities and treats your pets like the unique little personalities they are. Whether it’s energetic playtime, calm companionship, or sticking to a careful routine, I show up with matched energy, patience, and genuine care. If your pets love affection, silliness, structure, or all of the above, they’re in good hands with me. If you have other critters or small pets in your home, I am sure I can assist you. Let's start a great long-term relationship! I am recently resigned teacher who is looking for fulfillment in life and currently in-between jobs. I am trying to build up my pet base so I can pursue this full time. I have plenty of time to play and care for your pups and/or cats/ small animals and will be fully engaged. I have open availability; I am also looking for long-term clients! Pet care will have to occur at the clients home and/or surrounding area. I can provide all necessary care and stimulation at your home. I am here for you and what you need. Preferrably the client would provide the leash and waste products. Depending on your comfortablility I can take your pup on scenic walks / jogs in the neighborhood or nearby parks. My client and aunt has a big dog that is a gentle giant if your dogs ever need some social interaction.
About: I grew up with a family dog who I cared for deeply and have owned two rabbits. I now help to care for my sister’s dog when help is needed. I have a love for animals and will be happy to assist in any way needed! I currently work part time which gives me time to care for your pet! Mondays and Tuesdays are typically available and my outings during the rest of the week are not significantly long. I have a small back yard that is fenced in and a larger section of land outside of this area. We live in a great area for walks as well.
“Jordan was an amazing sitter for our cat Data. She was always on time and doing everything as scheduled with love and care. Data's food bowls, litter box and the whole space around were neat and clean when we arrived. Her reports were very informative and the photos of our baby-boy were fun. Our cat warmed up to her quickly and just wanted more play and pettings while she was with him. He will miss Jordan. We highly recommend her services and will definitely book her again when we travel in the future.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and sometimes cats for 3 years at a few daycares and boarding facilities. I love animals and would love to provide care for them! I’m currently recovering from a leg injury, so for now I’m focusing on caring for small dogs and cats! I love giving them attention, walks, and cuddles. I’ll be ready to work with bigger dogs again very soon once my leg fully heals! I will provide care for pets at clients home by making sure they are fed, medicated if needed and safely crated after I leave. Also, keep the pets safe from anything dangerous.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since the age of 12. I have dog sat for many relatives, and I take extremely good care of my beagle! I have plenty of free time as I recently graduated college and most of my grad school classes will be online, I also love going on walks, and would love for a furry friend to join me! My full focus is on the safety of the dog. They are like my babies. I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, happy and healthy.
About: I’ve helped take care of dogs since I was 10. I helped train our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy at a young age, and played a great role in taking care of her for the next six years. I’ve dog sat and dog walked friends and families dogs plenty of times over the past few years. Some of these dogs were beagles, labradors, retrievers, and collies. I’m currently an undergraduate student, I only have two or three classes a day and then I’m available for the rest of the day! When I’m on school breaks, I work a part time job, giving me a lot of free time to watch your fur baby. My house has a fenced in yard making it easy to take out your pet. I have no other pets currently, ensuring you a safe environment if they’re at my home. I can easily put your pet in a crate if needed, and I’m very attentive!
About: Animal experience includes working at a grooming shop and walking and babysitting a handful of dogs for several years, as well as always having dogs of my own. I have experience and am comfortable with big, small, shy, nervous, aggressive, sick, traumatized and old animals, so I can handle whatever your pet might throw my way. And I love to run; I'm happy to run with your dog if they want. I'm also comfortable administering medications, transporting animals, bathing, and following training instructions. Most importantly, my clients have always trusted me to be an honest and dependable person. Can't wait to meet you and your furry friend! I work short shifts and am pretty flexible at the moment. Available for drop in visits and walks. Message me and we will make it work. I follow instructions left by you, to keep your pet and home safe and your pet comfortable. Happy to take outside, feed, walk, and administer meds.
About: My family has 2 large dogs and 3 cats so I have a lot of experience with different animals and their needs! I am very active and love to go on walks or play with pets around the house! I am currently a student and working part time so I can do drop ins throughout the day and am completely free in the afternoons! I do not work on the weekends so I am available then as well. I will always listen to your directions when caring for your pet to best meet their needs! I will make sure they are properly taken care of and get their excerise and fun in!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
