About: Hello! My name is Jessica. I have been a licensed veterinary technician for 4 years. I work part time at an exotics only clinic. If you have any small companian animals, reptiles, or feathered friends that need care please feel free to ask me! The goal of my job is to relieve the stress you may have from not being able to come home to your beloved pets, or to know that they are in safe hands if you go on a trip. I do have a full-time job near Clarence, NY. I work 7:30am to 4pm Monday through Friday. I do get hour long lunches and can stop for lunch visits if you are close. As a veterinary technician I can monitor your pet more closely in case they are sick. Since I do not know your pet or how they react in certain situations, I would take extra caution when going outside or for walks to make sure I keep them safe.

About: I have a very flexible hybrid work schedule and spend the day at home on mondays, wednesdays & fridays. I live on 18 acre, so there’s plenty of room to play, but I also have a fenced in yard around my house. I’m a total animal lover, and I can promise whether your baby is staying with me or i’m coming to them, they will be happy and comfortable. I’ve had dogs my whole life, and couldn’t imagine life without them! Your pet will totally love hanging out with us and going on walks, or just snuggling if that’s what they’re into :) I have a history of both house and dog sitting for friends, family, and families that I babysit for. I have tons of experiences with dogs at all ages of life, and with special needs as one of my own was epileptic and required medication daily for seizures. We would be so happy if you let us hang out with your pets!! I work from home most of the time so your dog won’t be alone often. My dog spends most of her time with me and sleeping when we’re away :) I have separate areas if needed to keep any visitors happy. My is fenced in but I have no problem leash walking (I have 50ft leashes) anyone who comes!

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and know how important it is to keep their body and mind active. I walk my two dogs daily and have experience with many dog related issues. I also host a dog play group. I’m dependable, hard working, responsible and caring and I want to help dogs stay active in a safe, consistent, fun environment. I currently make my own work schedule so my dog walking availability is flexible. Weekend and holiday availability is possible. I can make various days/times work and keep a set walk schedule or drop in last minute. My two dogs have full yard and house access with daily walks and multiple play sessions every day. My dogs come to work with me with access to an enclosed indoor arena play area. I currently make my own work schedule so my dog walking availability is flexible. About: Hi my name is Samantha, I have a home I share with my toddler son and we have 1 pup. We have our 10yr old small spaniel mix, Daisy, that I’ve adopted from Texas. She gets along well with other dogs & loves to play. It was apparent that she never experienced her puppy days before our family took her in. I've had her for 8yrs now and she has become so comfortable and happy in her forever home with us and is very active. She loves to go out on walks and is an even better snuggler. I have had animals my entire life so I love to play, walk and go for runs with them. They have free-roam of the house and the fenced in back yard, and I'm ok with them on my furniture. My dog loves to walk when we can get out, but if not, she loves playing outside before I leave for work and as soon as I get home she runs the back yard. I work during the day M-F, however I work from home 2 days/week. I typically spend my nights home. I am in the military reserves so 1 weekend a month I am away from my home and try not to accept sitting during those long days. I would like more company for my dog as we recently lost her older fur-sister, this has been a transition for us all losing our sweet girl. I have plenty of toys and treats, and I ensure dogs always have free roam of our space. I would just ask that I'm made aware of any restrictions, allergies, behavior issues, etc. ahead of time. I will make sure your dog has the best service and attention in my home and will keep you up to date with their activities by texting pictures and video's through out their stay if you ever wanted! I work M-F, mix-matched teleworking days (flexible). I get up in the morning to let my dog play in the back yard, then she eats before I leave for work. We like to play in the back yard every 1-3hrs and we take breaks frequently so there would be some indoor and outdoor exposure for daily play (weather pending). My yard is fully enclosed so I like to bring my dog out with me to play, sniff, lounge and anything else. I have an outside pool that is for dogs so they can get water, play in it or lay down to cool off whenever they’d like. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to play with. I also have 2 crates available as needed if it’s a preference of yours. In your home, I can follow any instructions left to make sure your fur-baby feels as comfortable as possible at home in their space without you there.

About: I’ve always had a love for dogs and learning about different breeds. I’ve had dogs growing up and have always been comfortable around them especially big dogs. I have house sat before, done drop ins for friends and have done dog walking for my neighbors. I do work a majority during the day(M-S). But I am available on evenings(except for Thursdays). I’m off on Wednesdays, every other Saturday and Sundays Your dogs safety is my first priority. I will utilize a leash when needed, make sure the gate is always shut. Out on a walk I will make sure we stay on the sidewalk and keep distance from other people and dogs(I always say to set your dog up for success). I will send pictures of your dog to you if needed so you can always have updates

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always brought me a great deal of joy. Now that I’m retired, I have the time and flexibility to give your dog the attention, companionship, and care they deserve. My home is a calm, welcoming place where your dog can feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. I understand that every dog is different, with their own personality, routines, and little quirks. I’m happy to follow your instructions and keep your dog’s normal routine as much as possible. Whether your dog loves a good walk, a cozy nap, a little playtime, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll be there to give them plenty of affection and companionship. Most of all, I want you to feel comfortable knowing your furry family is being cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine love. I know how much our dogs meant to us—they truly are family. I would be honored to welcome your dog into my home and treat them as one of my own while you’re away. As a retired caregiver, I’m home all day and can give your pet plenty of attention and companionship. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide consistent care, regular walks and playtime, and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I enjoy having pets as part of my daily life and take pride in making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I offer care in your home or at my quiet, dog-free home. For dogs, the day can include daily walks, playtime, fetch, cuddles, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I’m happy to care for puppies through senior dogs and will follow your pet’s normal routine, including meals, medications, and rest time. There are no children or other pets in my home, making it a calm and peaceful environment. My goal is for your pet to feel like part of the family while you’re away!

Rosanne was wonderful! She was able to help us out last minute for drop-ins with our cat. She kept up on his litter boxes, gave him his night meds & wet food, and he got some good playtime in! Also brought in the mail and our trash cans. 10/10!

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Millgrove

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
