“Absolutely AMAZING dog sitter! My original plans for my dog fell through at the last minute and I reached out to 3 other people and TIANYUE was on the last page for whatever reason but I'm glad I stuck it out! Her communication, her updates, and even help with rebooking, all 5 stars! Sad i don't live in Boston anymore because I would easily hand over my baby girl to her!”

“Hercules had the best time!!! He got to play with friends and was loved up his entire stay. I got lots of pictures and videos which made it easier to be away. So trustworthy, helpful, and kind.”

About: I’ve enjoyed walking dogs since I was a child. I’ve taken care of many puppies and older dogs. I understand the special care that they require. I’m happy to take dogs in to our home as well as going to people’s homes to pet sit. I work most week days until 5. I am free to help with visits and walks at night. I am free on the weekends for taking in pets for overnights or going to your home to visit, walks, play and feeding pets. I have a section at my home that is fenced in or I walk dogs on the leash. I walk often and make sure to stick to schedules and feeding routines. I have so much love for animals and love nothing more than caring for them.
“Janice was lovely with my dog! She was very natural at handling my dog and his quirks, and she updated me every day of my trip so I could hear about my fur baby when I missed him. I would 100% recommend Janice to anyone who needs a dog sitter, she is a natural.”

“It was great meeting Trish and our dog, Harper, hit it off with her instantly. She is very genuine and made us feel very comfortable with leaving our young dog for the first time. Harper is a 9 month old mini goldendoodle who is still working out his training and puppy energy. Trish kept us updated and sent photos daily. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to a family matter but will not hesitate to use Trish again in the future.”

“If I could give more stars, I would! Shatane and her family are truly wonderful people. They treated Ziggy and me with respect and showed Ziggy love and attention every day during his 3-day stay this week. I would definitely recommend Shatane—excellent communication, with plenty of updates, pictures, and videos.”

“Zachary was an absolute lifesaver! I needed to extend Jett’s stay last minute, and he was incredibly flexible and accommodating with the timing. Throughout the entire stay, he kept me updated with great communication and sent plenty of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. Jett had the best time—he even had a buddy his size to play with, which made the experience even better. Zachary also made sure Jett got his daily walks and plenty of attention. I’m so grateful—Zachary truly saved the day. Highly recommend!”

“Nick was awesome! He was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took great care of our pup and she had a great time. Hulk is super sweet and chill so it was definitely a bonus that they got to hang out all day! Will 100% book with Nick again in the future.”

“We’re so glad Sarah and Ben were able to care of Blu at the last minute for a few days. Thank you both for taking such great care of him knowing how anxious he gets in a new place. They’re very patient and made him feel right at home. Sarah kept me posted with updates and photos too. We know Blu had fun!”

About: What sets me apart is my combination of professional reliability, medical experience, and genuine love for all pets. I’m skilled with senior care, medication administration (including insulin and eye drops), and providing long, structured walks for energetic dogs. I work remotely, allowing me to give pets full-time attention, and I’m always praised for leaving homes spotless. I adapt to each family's care philosophy, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely and structure my schedule around the pets’ needs. I’m able to provide consistent walks, feedings, medication if needed, and lots of playtime and affection throughout the day. Since I'm home most of the time, pets get plenty of attention and companionship, keeping their routines as normal and comforting as possible. My flexibility means I can adjust easily to each pet’s specific habits, energy levels, and care plans. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their routines and environment as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow the family's care instructions closely — whether that’s walking times, feeding schedules, administering medications, or favorite play activities. I keep the home clean and organized, bring my own supplies when needed, and make sure everything is left even better than I found it. Most importantly, I provide plenty of companionship, exercise, and affection to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while their family is away.
“Jeremy and Rui watched my two dogs for 4 nights and I was extremely happy with the care they provided. I had met them at a local dog park for our meet-and-greet and was impressed with the way they interacted not only with their own dog, but also mine and those belonging to strangers. They were comfortable and professional around all of the dogs. They kept me updated with notes and photos while I was away and I was glad I left my girls in their care. Highly recommend.”

“Eileen is the best, she helped us out on short notice watching our dog on our wedding night and he loved her! She’s so nice and great at her job, we would definitely recommend her to everyone!”

“Jennifer was exceptional! She was extremely flexible and kind towards us and our pup JoJo. JoJo immediately felt comfortable with Jennifer and her tiny chihuahua. They played and took a nice walk together. Jennifer had great communication and sent a cute video and a few pics! We would highly recommend her services and would definitely have her watch JoJo for us again!”

“Shelby and her family took excellent care of our two golden retrievers over a weekend that we traveled out of state. They sent us timely updates and pictures and our pups had a great stay. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Scituate
I am so grateful to Jenn and Matt for the care they took with my dog, Zorro, during his week-long stay with their family. They are kind, thoughtful and clearly very experienced with dogs. When I let them know Zorro can be nervous around new dogs, they suggested we meet for a dog walk before committing to booking a stay. When all went well (their pup is lovely!) we were confident in moving forward. They were so lovely when settling him in upon drop-off I had no doubts he was in good hands. They sent lots of daily photos so I never felt out of touch. When I picked him up he was happy to see me but also calm and clearly comfortable with them both. It really was just such a wonderful experience overall - I highly recommend Jennifer and Matt!
Ben took such great care of Lucy while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. His communication was outstanding, sending regular updates with lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and well cared for. I especially appreciated how thoughtful he was with Lucy’s high puppy energy, particularly during the extreme heat this past week. He made sure she still got exercise while keeping her safe and comfortable, adjusting to short frequent activities given the high temperatures. It was also Lucy’s first time with fireworks and he made sure she was not afraid or anxious. Lucy came home happy, tired, relaxed, and clearly well loved. I would absolutely trust Ben with her again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring dog sitter. Thank you so much Ben!

When our usual dog sitter had to cancel a 7-day stay at close to the last minute Cecelia cheerfully stepped in to take care of Zorro, thank goodness. She took the time to meet him beforehand and we had the chance to introduce him to her family which made dropping him off a few days later much easier. During the stay he had lots of walks, snuggles, games and treats. When I picked him up he was totally content, wandering around getting extra pets from her and her daughter while we chatted. While we were away Cecelia sent regular updates and pictures. Overall a great experience for me and Zorro! I'm sure we'll be back.
Matt kept my 35 pound lab mix for 5 days over a holiday weekend and gave her wonderful care! She got tired out playing with his adorable dogs and kept an eye his cat from afar, haha. Matt is a caring and attentive host, flexible with my misbehaving love bug. Would definitely recommend!

Giseli was great - her two dogs were wonderful, she was super flexible with us, and our golden retriever had a wonderful time with loads of walks and play. She sent pictures throughout which made us very happy and comfortable that all was well, as this was Duke's first stay away from home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
