“Eileen is the best, she helped us out on short notice watching our dog on our wedding night and he loved her! She’s so nice and great at her job, we would definitely recommend her to everyone!”

“We are very happy with Shelby and her family. We really like they have two kids and they spent time with our Miso. I'm sure Miso loved to hang out with them. Thank you and we will bring Miso back to Shelby soon!”

“Went on a five day vacation and no worries that my pup was being well cared for..loved getting updates/pictures knowing he was having a fun time.. Till the next time Rene!! Thanks again”

“This was Cosmo’s second stay at Jaime’s place, and this time it was for more than 10 days. We were completely at peace knowing he was comfortable and well cared for, especially with Luna by his side. Jaime already knew Cosmo’s routine and took care of everything so thoughtfully. We kept receiving regular updates with pictures and videos, which made us so happy. Surprisingly, Cosmo never even used his crate during the stay — a clear sign that he truly felt at home. Luna is definitely his best buddy! We had absolutely no worries knowing Cosmo was in such good hands, and we’ll surely be reaching out to Jaime for many more stays.”

“I had the pleasure of leaving Apollo with Michele, who was nothing short of fantastic! She was incredibly responsive from the start, answering all my questions promptly and putting my mind at ease. Michele is a true professional—she took the time to understand Apollo's needs and made sure he had a comfortable and fun stay with her two adorable dogs. Apollo had an amazing time, and I could tell from the photos and updates that he was well taken care of. As a lovely surprise, Michele even gave Apollo a cute parting gift, which was such a thoughtful touch! I’m so glad I found Michele, and I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Trish was great! She made it easy and comfortable for me to leave my dog. She cared for Honey like she was her own. Honey had a great time hanging out with Ace! They will be buddies for a long time:) I loved all the daily updates and pictures. I will definitely use Trish again”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was young, helping neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, and general care. Now that I work from home full-time, I’m able to provide a consistent, structured environment throughout the day. My own dog is very well-trained, friendly, and active—we go on multiple walks daily, spend time outdoors, and stay on a regular routine. I only take one client dog at a time as I want to my dog to have another dog to play with during the day. Your dog will be well taken care of. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I take one dog a day so my dog has another dog to play with during the day. I’m home during the day for supervision, walks, and attention—not just quick check-ins. My dog gets multiple walks daily, and we spend a lot of time outside, whether that’s in the neighborhood or on nearby trails and open fields. We also occasionally meet up with other friendly dogs in the neighborhood for relaxed, supervised social time. I only take one client dog at a time so I can fully integrate them into our routine and provide consistent care. I keep a clean, calm, and structured home where dogs are always supervised and treated like part of the routine. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time, and my dog is very friendly and well-adjusted. I’m selective about fit and only accept dogs that are well-behaved, non-aggressive, and comfortable around other dogs and my toddler. Because I only take one client dog at a time, everything stays controlled, safe, and low-stress, with plenty of attention and consistency throughout the day.
“Jennifer was amazing. Highly recommend hiring her to watch your pet. Communication was flawless from start to finish, and she was always incredibly quick to respond to my text updates. I loved receiving the photos she sent throughout the weekend, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She truly went above and beyond to make my dog feel at home. She spent time playing fetch—my dog's absolute favorite game—and was highly observant and adaptable when Daisy interacted with her own two dogs, ensuring all the pups felt safe and comfortable. To top it all off, she even sent my dog home with a toy she had fallen in love with during her stay. I will absolutely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of a lot of dogs over the years and i have my own dog as well. I love them and i’ll take care of them like they are mine 💖 I work from home so i’ll be here to incorporate whatever schedule your dog may have. How many walks and feeds you would like i can provide that. I live in an apartment but i have a park near me where i can take your dog for a walk. I can also take the dog to a dog a park if you prefer. I have a dog in the house but she is small and very friendly with other dogs.
“Theresa was the perfect match for Puca. She was good on everything. Play time, exercising, letting her get enough sleep. She cared for her allergies and needed medications. Theresa will be from now on my first choice when needing someone to take care of Puca in the future.”

“Caesar had a blast!! We boarded him for 5 days while we were on vacation & seems like Caesar had his own vacation at Shannon's! We got so many pictures of him playing his heart out & looking very happy. Shannon was very communicative & trustworthy. We would definitely recommend Shannon's place for your doggies.”

“Bella took to the family immediately and looked right at home. Tracey provided lots of pictures and was quick to respond while we were away. And Bella was in great spirits when i picked her up!”

About: I’m a reliable, patient caregiver experienced with puppies, seniors, and shy dogs. I focus on safe walks, positive routines, and attentive care tailored to each dog’s needs. I have a flexible weekly schedule, so I can reliably fit dog walks into my day. I’m available for morning, midday, and early afternoon walks throughout the week. I care for pets the same way I’d want someone to care for mine—safely, gently, and with full attention. I follow all instructions and keep your home tidy.
“Giseli was great - her two dogs were wonderful, she was super flexible with us, and our golden retriever had a wonderful time with loads of walks and play. She sent pictures throughout which made us very happy and comfortable that all was well, as this was Duke's first stay away from home.”

“We usually travel with our girl (4 YO terrier mix) everywhere we go, so was nervous to leave with someone else; our concerns melted away as we saw how comfortable our girl was with Lois on their first meet; they were immediate friends upon first introduction. Lois provided plenty of pictures when away, was very understanding of our girl's nervousness, and fulfilled each daily routine items included on list. Besides Lois's reliability, taking wonderful care of our girl, and sharing daily pictures of our girl, a plus is that Lois provides a home with a lot of space that is located on a quiet cul de sac with a large backyard, and that our girl was the only pet in the home (this was a perquisite for us). A plus, I was working on "Stay" command with our girl; Lois continued it at her place and with her reinforcement our girl has mastered the command after only four (4) days there....I guess a new person/environment is good at times. With all said, Lois provided a wonderful experience for our little girl. I appreciate the loving care provided to our girl in a very safe environment; I have since booked another stay.”

“Grigorii took the best care of my dog. He was communicative, friendly, and thorough in his care. My dog is timid after a recent attack and Grigorii was patient and able to get her to come out of her shell over a few days’ stay. His dog is a sweetheart too so I felt confident the pups would get along. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t available next time I need a sitter!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Pembroke
Lora is fantastic and I know Finn had so much fun with her and her family! Lora provided regular updates and photos daily and she is very accommodating to making sure our pup was comfortable and that we were comfortable too! Lora is a true professional and I highly recommend her

Janice was a miracle! My father in law was supposed to watch our pupper, but forgot to tell us he had a business trip come up until the day before we were supposed to leave! I was panicking because Leroy is a Velcro dog, and I am very picky about who watches him. Janice had so many great reviews and seemed like the right match, and thankfully was able to accept our last minute booking. After meeting her, I knew she was perfect to take care of Leroy! He instantly felt comfortable with her, and had such a great time! I am not sure he wanted to leave when we picked him up!!! Thank you Janice!!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
