About: As a grad school student my schedule hasn't allowed me to have pets of my own, but it makes it perfect for helping out others!! About: I care for anyone's pets as I would my own. I have 3 furbabies, two who are healthy seniors. I've always been responsible for taking care my my dogs even as a child. I believe pets need breaks, naps, fun time, and excercise just like humans. I have the energy to keep up with a high energy dog. I apply basic obedience commands while your pet is out and about or at home. I always ask other pet parents for permission to greet when approaching their pet. Whatever you need me to do to help your pet live a healthy life will be performed. In my home dogs have access to a fenced backyard via doggy door. I also have Nest cameras to view who is going outside and when. I am usually home unless I run an errand or drop in on another client's pet. If I am not home the doggy door cover is put on. Boarders cannot go outside if I am not home. Sitting is a large percentage of my daily routine. Being a pet parent to 3 dogs fits right in with offering pet sitting services. My dogs think they are at a daycare and are sad when dogs return home. My dogs and boarders always eat on their schedule. We go to the park (yes. Even my 19 yr old) every single day because it is across Bee Road, which is a 2 minute walk. I believe it is very important for canines to have as many opportunities to visit, play, and communicate with each other on a daily basis. All boarders have their own dog bed if they choose. My dogs do not mind sharing their beds with any dogs. I have two extra beds for boarders. I often visit Daffin and Forsyth Park, friends, and retail stores with my dogs and boarding dogs. I have a thick blanket for dogs I put in shopping carts. Usually bring a dog or two with me. When we are home I usually turn on dog TV for my pets and work in my garden or on my skoolie. Dogs have access to fenced backyard via doggy dog. Any size dog can fit through. I have an alarm that tells when a dog goes through so I can always be in the backyard with boarders because you never know who is a digger. I don't mind dogs cuddling on the couch with me. I have plenty of toys laying around for dogs to play with. All dogs get an after breakfast and dinner mint (small teeth cleaning bone. Whole Foods brand) with owners permission. I keep a close eye on boarders at all times.

I will make sure your dog hasn't gone anywhere in the home, and if so I will clean it up. Once I have done that I'll let them outside or walk them, depending on your living situation and how they need to be let out so they can safely go pee or poo. Once they go I may or may not give them a treat to reenforce that positive behavior then walk them a bit more so they can get some movement in. This also builds my bond with the pet so future care goes much easier.

McKenzie is a fabulous sitter! She stayed with our two pups for four nights while we were on vacation. We received regular updates and photos, and she handled our dogs with ease and kindness. We have two rescue chihuahua mixes that need a lot of love and attention, and she made sure they got snuggles, walks, and even took them on adventures to Forsyth Park! One of our dogs had a potty accident on the bed, and she handled it graciously. Our babies were happy and healthy when we got home. We would definitely book with McKenzie again!
