“Jasmin was great! She is very responsible and took great care of my dogs. She also sent us pictures and kept us updated every day. I would definitely recommend her and I plan to use her again!”

“Ashley is absolutely fantastic and took the best care of our dogs while we were gone for a week. We were overly anxious to have a new house sitter since moving to Savannah, but she put our minds at ease from the first meeting. One of our pups is a little difficult to warm up to people but he absolutely loved her and was giving her tons of kisses by the end of the week. She sent us worried pet parents updates every day with a message and photos that warmed our hearts. For dog/house sitting, we won’t trust anyone else!”

“Andy was great! Very communicative throughout the weekend and sent us lots of pictures and updates of our girls. We felt completely comfortable knowing they were well taken care of while we were away. We would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“Lauren was awesome! Would definitely recommend. Our Molly really seemed to enjoy hanging out with Lauren and even made a new friend with Lauren's dog. She was professional and stayed in touch providing pictures and video.”

About: I have lived with over 5 animals at a time in a house. Growing up with a variety of pets along with being a volunteer coordinator for troubled animals. I am open to all! I am a full time employment meaning I can focus on taking care of your family evenings and weekends! Lots of walks, adventures, and fun! I am in an apartment with a play yard, but will take your furry family to the park or downtown for walks and play time!
“Baylee did a fantastic job watching my 2 dogs for a few days! Both dogs have feeding schedules and take medications and she followed everything to a T! I received lots of photos and a video, each time my dogs were very happy! When I came back from my trip, my house was in great order. I highly recommend her and will be using her again!”

About: I've cared for the fuzzy family members of friends, family friends, and work friends for years. My own pets have been mostly senior rescues from owners who could no longer care for them. I have experience with medication, drop-ins, house-sitting, and more. I am currently an artist with open commissions, so my schedule is flexible and made for your pets. I usually crochet or draw when I care for lower-energy animals, and love playing with those with more energy. I am a no-shoes-in-house kind of person, and can bring separate house shoes if preferred. I am no stranger to cleaning up pet accidents. I keep to the living areas of the home, unless the pets are kept elsewhere, and provide a quiet presence for more introverted or timid animals. I ensure to adhere to the idea of "leave no trace", as though your home is the natural habitat for your pets.

“Emily is the best! She always ensures our pets are well taken care of and loved! She took our dog on extra long walks and when we came back the house was probably cleaner than when we left it. Highly highly recommend.”

“Cara is awesome. My dog had a health problem while I was away and Cara smoothly managed specialized care including wound care and medication administration. She has excellent communication skills. My dog is always happy to see her. I have used Cara’s services before and plan on continuing to do so.”
About: Hi everyone! Finally updated my profile. I have been caring for pets for over 6 years! Dogs and cats all breeds and ages. While I don’t have many services on this platform, I have done 200 services! Although I work full time, I always have time to care for pets in the area. Whether that’s boarding, sitting, or a drop in visit. There’s always someone in my home so your pet will never be alone! :) I have a great sized fenced back yard, a Yorkie who’s about 7lbs. My dog is no bother she’s very relaxed and stays to herself unless wanting cuddles and pets.
About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have a dog of my own and have had cats in the past, so I understand how much our pets become part of the family. I’ve also cared for friends’ pets for anywhere from a single day to several days at a time. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, giving pets attention, and keeping them on their normal routine. I know it can be hard leaving your pets with someone else, so I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I love to keep you updated with pictures and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is doing well. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time caring for pets. I have a dog of my own, so having pets as part of my daily routine feels very natural to me. I’m able to make time throughout the day for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and attention. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own, follow your instructions and their normal routine, and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m also respectful of each pet’s individual personality and will give them affection and attention while allowing them space when they need it.
“Great job! Icealin paid attention to all the details, making sure the house was taken care of too, not just the pooch. I came back from holiday travel and blizzards everywhere, and all was well.”

“We couldn’t recommend Devin more to any pet owner! From the start, she was incredibly detail-oriented, ensuring she fully understood our dogs’ needs before accepting the booking. Throughout her stay, she provided the highest level of care, complete with pet report cards that gave us great insight into our dogs’ behavior and well-being. She went above and beyond with consistent updates and left our home even better than we left it. Most importantly, our dogs absolutely loved her, and we trust her completely. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Pet owner and lover for 30+ years. My husband and I have spent the last few years pet sitting across the country. We have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and geckos. We have settled down in Savannah and would love to continue spoiling and loving on fur babies. We have a fenced in yard and I walk a couple miles every day and would love a four-legged companion to walk with me. Pets are allowed on our furniture and can sleep where they choose! My husband and I are both retired so our schedule will fit your schedule. Both of us are home most days and are rarely both gone. We have a fenced yard and walk a few miles a day. I would love to walk your pet as often as needed. Our home is a one story ranch and will be easy for your pet to get around.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Georgetown
Dawn did an amazing job watching our dogs! Prior to the house sitting, we did two meet and greets to ensure our dogs were comfortable with her and her husband. During her stay, she reached out whenever she had concerns about the dogs and went above and beyond to ensure we came home to an orderly house. She also had personal experience with elderly dogs and was easily able to take care of our 13- and 14-year old dogs. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone.

Josh did great with our animals and home. We are really appreciative of his time and willingness to help when our freezer broke and when our flight was delayed. Our dog and cat got plenty of attention and the house was well kept and left clean! Thanks Josh!

I have loved all the Rover sitters we have worked with, but Hailee knocked it out of the park! During our meet and greet, Hailee asked engaging questions and demonstrated her experience with dogs. My house was orderly when we came home and the dogs were not stressed at all. Highly recommend Hailee!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Georgetown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Georgetown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Georgetown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
