I became a dog owner in 2020 when I got my first French Bulldog, Hank McCoy, and I’ve been hands-on with caring for and training my dogs ever since. I’ve personally trained all of my dogs at home, focusing mainly on basic obedience, household manners, and everyday routines. Some of the commands I’ve worked with include sit, stay, down, come here, stop, paw, move, up, no, go home, night-night, and go potty. I’m not a professional dog trainer, but I’m comfortable reinforcing the commands, boundaries, and routines your dog already knows. I understand that consistency matters, especially when a dog is staying somewhere unfamiliar. My experience as a dog owner has also taught me how important it is to pay attention to a dog’s body language, personality, comfort level, and individual habits. I try to be patient and let each dog settle in at their own pace while giving them plenty of attention, structure, playtime, walks, and affection. I treat the dogs in my care the same way I’d want someone to treat mine; with patience, attention, and genuine care.
