“Natalia is amazing! This is Beau’s third visit and he had some anxiety issues in the beginning. With the support of all the ladies in this home, Natalia worked her loving “Dog-Whisper” magic and made him feel like one of the family. Now, he follows her everywhere she goes! She provided daily updates on his stay and to watch his transformation has been priceless! She has a unique love for animals that I have never seen and I highly recommend using Natalia’s Rover services. She is one of the best!”

“Angela was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and kept our dog active and happy while we were away. She is a true animal lover! We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and videos, it gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again! 🐾”

“Sherie was amazing! I am new to Rover and she made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog, Bella with her. She was very responsive and sent me pictures of Bella throughout the weekend! I will definitely be using Sherie again the next time my husband and I need a pet sitter!”

About: I’ve always taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I begged my mom to get me a dog around that time as well. I promised her I would take care of the dog and do all I needed to do. With that being said I became a pet owner and trained my dog all by myself . From the simple commands, and crate training. I love to treat my current dog(Chloe) like a baby. From cuddles, long walks, nice tasty treats and all the love I can possibly give her. Sometimes I do travel and when I do its hard to find someone to keep Chloe. I realized I can’t be the only one who has experienced this . I am new to the app. I am ready to spread the love in my area. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Can’t wait to meet you ! I do work full tine Monday-Friday. I have a Hybrid schedule. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays . I am open on weekends ! I have a spacious apartment. We also have dog parks in my complex. Lastly my favorite a few different trails/ lakes that I love to walk currently.
“Marlin was awesome while watching my cat Buckeye. She really put me at ease about leaving her with a sitter for the first time. Marlin was quick to ask questions and respond when needed, even provided me updates on how my cat was doing. I would absolutely recommend Marlin as a sitter to anyone in need and will be booking again in the future. Thanks Marlin!”

“Diana and Felipe were great! They sent pictures of our sweet dog each day and it was clear that she was well cared for while we were away. We’ll definitely use them next time too!”

“Foxy had a great stay and I am so grateful for the care he received during this longer stay. Ken, Tyler, and family gave him needed boundaries and socialization--I hope he can stay with them again to keep growing into the less anxious soul he can be :). I looked forward to receiving photos every day and knew Foxy was in excellent hands. THANK YOU!”

“Julijai, Alejandra and Eduardo and Luis took very good care of my dog, They shared videos showing how much fun she was having with the other dogs and carefully gathered her things to be ready when I picked her up. I will be leaving my dog with them again soon for another 2-week period, in which I am confident that she will be cared for lovingly.”

“Taylor took great care of Coco while we went on vacation. She sent pics throughout Coco’s stay and Coco seemed to be right at home. Thank you Taylor for caring for our pup! We will definitely use Taylor again.”

“I cannot thank Crystal enough for the excellent care and compassion she provided for my 18-month-old dog, Mr. Biggs, during his first-ever overnight stay away from me. I was just as anxious as he was, but she went above and beyond to ensure we both felt comfortable. He was squirming and crying when I dropped him off, but she quickly managed to calm him down after I left. Throughout the stay, she sent me pictures and videos, which really helped put my mind at ease. My dog usually refuses to eat when I’m not around, but she even got him to eat the next day! This was an amazing experience for both of us, and I’ve already booked his next stay. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Amanda and Loki were great hosts to Bella once again. Amanda sent many photos and videos throughout Bella’s stay and very communicative. Looking forward to booking with her again knowing Bella always has a great time.”

“My 8 yr old Cavalier King Charles had a great 9 day stay with Joy and Rodney. They were always responsive quickly and made everything easy for us with drop off and pick up even with flight arrival time changes. They sent photos every day and I could see my dog was happy. I left him with Joy & Reilley feeling confident and couldn’t be happier with his care. I definitely will be contacting them in future.”

“Darren is a pleasure. He took great care of my two Yorkies. He also provided photos with communication during my week away. I definitely recommend and will re-book with him in the future.”

About: I’m a recent college graduate with 10 years of pet care experience and a genuine love for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles. I have the most experience caring for large breed dogs such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Labradoodle mixes, and I’m confident handling strong, high-energy pets. I also enjoy caring for small dogs and cats and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. My schedule is flexible, I’m able to now dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I enjoy keeping animals active, engaged, and comfortable throughout the day with walks, playtime, attention, and companionship. As a recent college graduate, I’m able to provide dependable care and make sure your pet gets the attention and exercise they need while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I prefer creating a calm, loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and part of the family. I make time for exercise, play, and affection so pets can burn energy, stay happy, and feel secure while in my care.
“Michelle was truly a blessing to our family. I’m usually nervous about leaving Simba due to his allergy issues however, Michelle was very reassuring and put my mind at ease. During Simba’s time with Michelle she kept in daily communication and sent me the cutest pictures of Simba which I very much appreciated. I’m so glad our path crossed because Michelle will definitely be our go to sitter for Simba!!”

“Kristin is amazing. Her house is set up great for boarding and she really takes care to learn all the uniqueness of each pet. You can tell from the moment you meet her how passionate she is about animals. Book if you get the chance.”

“I had to do a last minute booking because my first floor flooded, so it wasn’t safe for anyone to be in the house. Ryan took my cat and dog in the night time. They had an awesome stay. They were so happy in the pictures. Ryan communicated very well with me and was very friendly.”

Darren had Izzy feeling at home away from home. In my opinion he spoiled her lol!! He treated her as his own and always kept us updated on her. He was very responsive and seems so passionate about what he was doing. This was more than a sitting job for him, he made Izzy apart of his family!! We will definitely be booking him again!!

Jacqueline and her daughter were amazing! I loved receiving regular photo updates throughout my trip, and it gave me great peace of mind knowing my dog was safe and happy. She was also incredibly flexible when I had to cut my trip short. Honestly, I don't think my dog wanted to come home! I highly recommend Jacqueline and will definitely be booking with her again.

Alexis took great care of our Bella. It was a late request but we are so glad it worked out for her to watch Bella. She was shared photos, asked questions, and was very responsive. We will certainly take Bella to her again when we need her services. We highly recommend her!

I truly can’t say enough great things about this experience! From the very beginning, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly compassionate—it was clear that caring for animals isn’t just something she does, it’s something she genuinely loves. Leaving Ralph can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking, but she immediately put me at ease and made me feel completely confident that he was in the best hands. Her communication was outstanding—she kept me consistently updated with thoughtful messages, pictures, and little check-ins that really meant a lot. I loved being able to see Ralph happy, relaxed, and fully himself while I was away. It gave me such peace of mind. What stood out most was how engaged she was with him. Ralph got plenty of playtime, attention, and exercise, and it showed—he came back happy, well cared for, and clearly loved on. She didn’t just “watch” him, she truly cared for him like he was her own. I would 1000% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet with genuine care, attention, and love. Ralph and I are both so grateful!

Tiffany is amazing!! I went on a family vacation and Tiffany updated me with plenty of pictures and videos of my baby Rocky. Rocky can be very selective of who he likes and he fell right in love with her haha! He was definitely spoiled and that’s okay with me! Will be booking again. 10/10

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
