“Emma dogsat for us for several days and did a wonderful job with our two little ones fone of whom is extremely ambivalent about strangers, but fell in love with her right away)! I felt totally comfortable with her taking care of our babies while we were gone. She was kind, reliable, very responsive, and flexible when my drop-ins changed due to a last minute flight delay. She even helped keep our beloved plants alive! So happy we found someone we can trust with our fur babies while we’re away!”

“It has to be a really special person for me to feel comfortable leaving someone in my house overnight with my baby. Samantha spent the weekend inmy home and took great care of my shitzhu-bision. She was flexible with her schedule and asked all the right questions. She is very upbeat and enthusiastic. She is confident in her experience and knowledge about dogs. She randomly touched base with me and sent lots of pictures ensuring me that Pippa was very happy. I would absolutely have Samantha come back again and would highly recommend her.”

“Amy visited our house daily to feed and play with Tilly while we were out of town. She provided prompt and friendly communication and made sure everything she needed to care for Tilly was addressed. “Rachel was really responsive and helped us feel comfortable since it was our first time using a dog sitter/walker. She came to our house twice while we were away and took our pup for long walks and gave him attention. The cat even came out for some pets. Lots of pics were taken which helped my stress level. We would definitely use Rachel again.”

About: Throughout my life I have owned a dog and have been responsible for a majority of their needs. I have owned big dogs and small dogs and both have been fun experiences. No matter how energetic or grumpy the dog can be, I have always been able to keep the energetic dogs active and make sure the grumpy ones behave. There have been many times that neighbors or family members have come to me to watch their dogs, knowing that they're in good hands. Not only have I had extensive experience caring for dogs, but I absolutely adore them. I have so much fun meeting new dogs and learning about their personalities, and what ways to make them feel comfortable with someone that is new to them. I am free all summer. However, when the Fall Semester begins, I will be attending college full-time. Despite this, I do intend to continue to provide my services in drop-in visits and walks. I will just need to work them into my schedule while taking classes.

About: I am a semi retired veterinary assistant with nearly 20 years professional experience and a passion for caring for animals. As a life long pet owner myself, I know how hard and stressful it can be to leave your pets at home. I appreciate and respect the trust that every owner puts in me when they contact me to care for their animal. I can give medications if needed, including injections. Also have worked in shelters and volunteer at rescues. I have taken care of senior dogs and cats. Feeding, walking, playing or if they have any special needs is not a problem. I have a flexible schedule and open to working with you to arrange drop in visits. Mid morning through later afternoons are open for me. If you need another time, just let me know. Whatever your pets need is fine with me. Whether they want to play, walk or just hang out. If they are a little shy and need time to get used to me is fine. I will take my time to learn what they need and adapt to them. The goal is always to keep them as stress free as possible

About: Salutations, My name is Saori and I have 15+ years caring for animals. Not only have I owned and cared for everything from rodents to livestock, but all ages of pets as well. I studied to be a vet tech and worked for places such as the Animal Medical Center in NYC then eventually became a farmer so I'm capable of helping those in need of Physical Therapy, medication from syringe to pills, and able to notice when a pet is ill and needs additional care. I am also a foster mom for dogs via Paws Rescue League and have placed more than a dozen dogs in the last 2 years. Needless to say I love animals and able to provide your dog (or cat) with the best of care. I work from home at my farm. I rarely vacation so I am home all day and able to have pets in and around my home at all times. I have a farm with two dog friendly dogs. My farms has fenced and gated areas, but I normally let my dogs play outside all day in nice weather. If your dog has good at recall they'll be allowed off leash, but if not they'll have a scheduled day that will include swimming, hikes and lots of pets. If you have a pet that is senior and prefers naps over playtime. We have a specially made dog room with a TV and air conditioning.

About: I've always had dogs for as long as I can remember. At this stage of my life, I do not want a dog of my own, but would love to help you care for yours. I am retired and spend much time around the area. would love a companion for outside walks, cuddling on the couch or just hanging out on deck enjoying the sunshine. In my home, the guest is free to roam the house and go on any furniture or bed.....A full guest in our home. Water is always out and I will follow any requests from the owners. Never outside without a leash

“We could not be happier with Terri and our experience! She helped us at the very last minute and we were so lucky to find her! We're looking forward to working with her many more times...and so is Cody :)”

About: I have grown up with pets my entire life and have owned dogs such as: Golden Retrievers, Pomeranians, as well as mixed breeds. I am truly a dog lover at heart. I understand that pets are part of the family and they will be treated as a part of ours during their stay. I am a homeschooling mom and other than drop-off/pick-up at classes and the occasional errands, I am always around. My husband also works from home. Your pet will rarely be alone! Although my yard is not fenced in, it is surrounded by woods. I do prefer to keep dogs on a leash outside at all times. I have two kids who will give your dog lots of attention and love, as well as family members nearby who always stop in to meet any furry visitors we have!

About: I grew up surrounded by animals. Five years ago I adopted two cats who I absolutely adore. I helped raise my roommate’s puppy and have walked/cared for dogs and cats at shelters. I have trusted Rover to find a perfect fit for my cats when I needed a sitter and I want to be that loving and reliable person for someone else now. I am currently taking some time off from my full time job so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets at any time of the day! I am happy to tailor my services to the needs of your pet/s. While I do not provide services at my own home, I would love to help out at your home, which is, in my experience, more comfortable less stressful for the pets themselves.

“Caroline is the absolute best. She goes above and beyond while caring for our dog Diego and clearly has a love for all animals and connects with them immediately. After one week, Diego is a much happier and calmer dog. I love getting the updates and photos and very grateful we found such a compassionate person to care for our animals.”

Michael P.
“Mike can be easily described as a dog lover and I highly recommend Mike to take care of your pup. He has two very fun dogs (as of June 2017), a goofy black lab and a very sweet small german shepard. He has taken care of my beagle hound on several occassions and it was clear that my baby had a wonderful time. It's rare that my pup warms up to people so quickly but Mike has a special way with dogs. He's assertive, kind, and attentive to the needs of the dogs in his care and I know that if anything unfortunate were to happen to my pup, He's in good hands with Mike. Mike's home is also a real beauty as well. Nestled down cul-de-sac in Newtown, Mike has a large fenced in area that is a dogs heaven. There is plenty of room to run, play, hide, and even swim in the pool to cool off. At night, Mike sets up a great spot for the dogs, either in his room next to his bed or wherever the pup feels most comfortable. I highly recommend Mike to be your Rover go-to care taker. He's one of those care takers that is likely to become the #1 call for many.”

Anne S.
“Anne is beyond dependable, punctual, organized, and extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of animals due to her career in veterinary medicine. Whenever I have a question about one of my pets she is the first one I call. Anne greatly enjoys doting on the pets in her care.”

Samantha L.
“I wholeheartedly recommend Samantha as a pet sitter. I have had the pleasure of knowing her for over 7 years and I can say with full confidence that she is one of the most responsible, trustworthy, and compassionate people I know. Samantha has cared for my own pet on multiple occasions and each time I returned home to a happy and well cared for animal and a clean, well managed home. She is attentive to details, great with instructions, and always goes the extra mile to make sure pets feel comfortable and loved in their owner's absence.
