Jennie was super friendly and reassuring during Roger's first official boarding experience. I got frequent updates through messages, pictures, and videos! They made me feel very safe leaving my boy with them and gave him plenty of attention, he definitely came back a happy cat. I would highly recommend for anyone anxious about first time boarding!

About: I was able to get through an illness because of animals, especially Dogs. I connect easily with them. They bring joy to each and every day. I volunteer 6 hrs wk and I have a part time job that is extremely flexible. I live alone and spend all nights at home. Make sure they have ample walking adventures and potty breaks. Interact with them while in home, outside of crate. Keep a prompt schedule for them.

What an excellent sitter! We brought our two small dogs, Fish and Buddy, to stay with Lisa at the 11th hour when another booking fell through. Not only was she a great communicator before our visit, but she also set up an informative meet-and-greet to ensure she had contact with our dogs before boarding them and to hear our notes directly. During the dogs’ stay, Lisa sent us cute (and reassuring) photos of the pups and messages letting us know they were doing just fine. When we arrived home and picked them up, Fish and Buddy were happy little dudes. If you’re looking for a new sitter, don’t wait—book Lisa today!

About: I have loved dogs my whole life, but I did not realize how deep that love could be until I adopted my first dog, Flynn, 11 years ago. He was a 90lb German Shepherd with reactivity towards other dogs, which led me down the path of learning everything I could about canine behavior and training. I have taken multiple dog training classes focused on positive reinforcement techniques and have used tools such as clicker training, prong collars, and e-collars. I learned how to navigate situations in which Flynn was reactive, making sure I had full control of a very strong dog at all times. I raised Flynn from 8 weeks old (puppy shark phase) to his calmer senior years. The challenges I faced with Flynn taught me how to read canine body language, manage reactivity, and handle high energy, strong dogs with patience and love. After losing Flynn, I thought I could never get another dog again, but come February 2024, I welcomed 7-week-old GSD mix Artemis (Artie) into my life. It has been a completely different training experience in much more challenging ways. From potty training to crate training and leash manners, she has tested everything I have learned (and helped me learn more). Every challenge and every puppy shark bite has been completely worth it. She is now thriving and continues to learn thanks to consistency, structure, and ongoing enrichment. I also have hands-on experience with senior dog care. I started caring for our elderly family dog (Socrates) after my father passed away 4 years ago. He is now a 14-year-old Dachshund Terrier mix with limited mobility and some incontinence. I provide daily care, including hygiene and administering medication, and provide a clean, comforting environment to support his quality of life. He is getting a lot of treats and love in my care. My goal is to build trust and communication to maintain a safe environment for dogs and others. Whether your dog is a puppy in training, a reactive adult, or a senior who needs special attention, I bring patience and knowledgeable care. Every dog is different, and I take the time to get to know what makes yours special. I'd love to meet them and offer care you can trust. My life revolves around my sweet pup, Artemis (aka Artie). This means that besides work and taking care of her needs, I am quite open. I work remotely some days and can drop in on your babies during the day or in the evenings. On the weekends my availability is wide open. Building trust through consistent communication is important to me. Since I know that every dog is different, I understand each has individual needs and am eager to learn them. As a dog owner, I also understand how important it is for someone who is caring for your dog to know your dog and know what they need (I'm the type who writes a whole manual for any sitter). In my home, I have a senior dog who likes his alone time and an energetic, young GSD mix dog. For daycare, your pups can interact as little or as much as appropriate. I also have a small fenced yard where I can play with the dogs.

Nika and Nick were very patient with our high anxiety dog. They sat with us for awhile before the initial drop off so she could take her time to warm up to them. I could tell that Nika loves dogs and Emma was happy to make a new friend. I’m so glad to have found such a wonderful and caring person to care for Emma while I’m out of town.

The best boarding experience for my 4 year old golden doodle by far. Igor is friendly, patient, and experienced with pets. He took Kobe on lots of walks around the area which offers more green space than most neighborhoods in Irvine. Igor sent me a lot of pictures of Kobe and respond to messages fast which helped when we miss him. They also applied paw balm to his paws as instructed daily. Igor and his wife are lovely people and I would definitely ask them to take Kobe in again in the future although we live two hours away. 🙏Very thankful for them!

About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs, and I am very comfortable around all types. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care. I am familiar with walking dogs on leases, with harnesses, using commands, as well as resource guarding, jumpy/mouthy/mounting behavior, shy/fearfulness, and escape artists. I only use positive reinforcement for training. I have an educational background in genetics and public health, and I am involved in my local religious community as well. I’ve lived in OC for about 3 years now, having moved from the Midwest. In my spare time I’m learning to crochet, and I love playing with my dog Pax, a chihuahua/pomeranian mix whom I’ve recently adopted. I work from home, so am around most of the day, and have a small fenced in patio for potty breaks between walks. I’m a fan of the local dog parks, and will bring your dog there with your permission. I work from home, so my dog gets a minimum of 3 walks around the neighborhood and we often go to a local dog park too after work. I’m rarely away from home for more than 4 hours at a time. My fenced in patio is open for potty breaks, but I usually do a minimum of 3 walks per day around my neighborhood. I’m also happy to bring them to dog parks for socialization. Since I have a dog myself, there will also be plenty of socialization at home.

Lexie was absolutely AMAZING! In all the years I have used Rover all over northern and southern California, she has been by far my favorite pet sitter. She is so communicative, understanding, and a true dog lover. I’ve never seen Maple and Wasabi warm up to any other sitter the way they did with Lexie, it was so obvious they truly adored her and no wonder why! She included them in everything, played with them, didn’t mind their silly quirks and clinginess — I was so touched she even included them in her everyday routine and took them to work! It was so sweet and reassuring to receive all these updates and see her do all these things we didn’t even ask her to do, especially since it was the first time we have ever left my dogs this long. We will definitely be booking with her and only her again! I’m sure my dogs will be so excited to see her again! 🤣♥️

Bridget was absolutely incredible with our boy! She and her family were so kind and caring, and updated us with lots of photos and videos. Our dog unexpectedly fell sick, and she not only immediately notified us, but took him to the emergency vet within minutes. She felt comfortable caring for him at home and he recovered well with her. Our dog became part of the family with her, and we would not hesitate to ask Bridget to watch him again in the future. She is an absolute gem!

Tamie saved us! With less than a week to go before our Thanksgiving trip, our regular sitter had to cancel. Our dog is very particular and can be difficult at times, so I turned to Rover. Luckily, I met Tamie and she was very responsive. We set up a meet and greet, and she was patient with our dog and was able to gain his trust. Our Bosco was with her for 6 days. She treated him with so much attention, love and care. She sent so many photos and communicated with us several times a day. I could easily see how happy our Bosco was with her from all the photos she sent us. As a dog mom, knowing our fur baby was in great hands was such a relief. Not only did she take great care of him, but on the day, we were traveling back from the east coast our flight was delayed. We missed our connecting flight, and the next flight wasn't until 8 hours later. In a panic, I called Tamie and she was so accommodating and worked with us. She had another client dropping off their dog, but she worked with me to offer a solution. She even communicated all of this with the other client to ensure they knew what was going on and that they were ok with it. Tamie went over and beyond for us and treated our fur baby with the utmost care as if he was her own. She managed to extinguish all my anxiety of worrying about Bosco so that I was able to enjoy the holiday week with family. When we finally picked him up, you could see how much he loved her and was so happy with her. Tamie is amazing with dogs but is also so sweet and compassionate. She is also a great photographer and captured some awesome photos. She is definitely one of a kind pet sitter and we will only use her going forward! Thank you so much Tamie!
