About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 20 years. We were a dog foster family for a year until we failed completely and adopted our dog. Recently trained puppy last year. Our dog is super friendly. Your dog must be good with children. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your dog the attention, care, and companionship they need throughout the day. Your pup won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love. I take my own dog to the park often, so I’m used to making exercise and outdoor time part of our daily routine. Boarding dogs will have opportunities for walks, play, and potty breaks as needed based on their individual routine and energy level. My goal is to keep your dog comfortable, active, and happy while they’re staying with us, while maintaining as much of their normal routine as possible. When your pet stays in my home, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and loved, just like they are part of our family. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise throughout their stay. I’ll take your dog on daily walks and give them plenty of time to enjoy our yard, where they can safely roam, explore, and play. I also have a friendly pet of my own who can be a fun playmate for dogs who enjoy companionship. My kids absolutely love animals and enjoy helping care for dogs, so your pet will have lots of loving attention and interaction. I’ll also make sure each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs are respected. My goal is for every pet who stays with us to have a happy, fun, and comfortable home-away-from-home experience while you’re away!

About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs, and I am very comfortable around all types. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care. I am familiar with walking dogs on leases, with harnesses, using commands, as well as resource guarding, jumpy/mouthy/mounting behavior, shy/fearfulness, and escape artists. I only use positive reinforcement for training. I have an educational background in genetics and public health, and I am involved in my local religious community as well. I’ve lived in OC for about 3 years now, having moved from the Midwest. In my spare time I’m learning to crochet, and I love playing with my dog Pax, a chihuahua/pomeranian mix whom I’ve recently adopted. I work from home, so am around most of the day, and have a small fenced in patio for potty breaks between walks. I’m a fan of the local dog parks, and will bring your dog there with your permission. I work from home, so my dog gets a minimum of 3 walks around the neighborhood and we often go to a local dog park too after work. I’m rarely away from home for more than 4 hours at a time. My fenced in patio is open for potty breaks, but I usually do a minimum of 3 walks per day around my neighborhood. I’m also happy to bring them to dog parks for socialization. Since I have a dog myself, there will also be plenty of socialization at home.

I have a fairly good size apartment and a large patio (almost small yard size) with access to lots of walking trails immediately behind my home. Your dog will be cared for as if they were my own Juno boy. I’m extremely detail-oriented when it comes to pet care, and safety is always my highest priority. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, feeding schedule, medications, exercise needs, quirks, and comfort level so I can provide truly individualized care rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. In my home, I have a crate-trained dog and several separate rooms, along with gates that allow me to safely manage different spaces. This means I can comfortably accommodate more sensitive, shy, reactive, or simply more independent dogs who may need their own space or gradual introductions. I’m very mindful of interactions between pets and never assume that every dog wants the same level of socialization. Whether your pet is staying in my home or I’m caring for them in yours, I’m attentive to their environment, behavior, and wellbeing throughout the day. I want you to feel completely confident that your pet is not only getting plenty of love and attention, but is being cared for thoughtfully, safely, and responsibly while you’re away.
