About: I’ve been animal-obsessed for as long as I can remember 🐾💕 I’ve worked with animals most of my life and currently work at a veterinary clinic in Brevard, so I have tons of hands-on experience with all kinds of pet needs. I’ve been pet sitting for 7 years, starting out helping friends and family, and I’ve been so lucky to have it grow through word of mouth into something I truly love doing! Caring for animals truly makes me so happy, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—spoiled, loved, and well cared for! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to check on your babies! I can do early AM, lunch and PM visits! I also live within 5 minutes of Downtown Hendersonville so I’m easy and convenient! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I take great care to create a calm, secure environment and follow your instructions closely. I also love keeping you connected while you’re away—expect regular photo updates and I’m always happy to do FaceTime check-ins so you can see your pet happy and safe in real time!
About: I genuinely love caring for animals and enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. Whether it's going for walks, playing, keeping them company, or making sure they stay comfortable and on their normal routine, I find pet sitting incredibly rewarding. Through my professional pet-sitting experience, I've cared for dogs and cats with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs, which has taught me the importance of patience, reliability, and attention to detail. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and my goal is always to help them feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. Pet care can come at just about any time for me! I am just always happy & willing to fit a cute face into my routine:) I don’t work during the summer. During the school year I work 630am-1230pm Safe, gentle & healthy pet care is always crucial. In my home & others homes… I make sure to give pets a safe and exciting environment as much as I possibly can. Something I believe is vital is trust. I always want the animals I take care of to trust me & feel safe.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover, and over the years, I’ve come to realize that each animal is truly unique with its own personality and quirks. This is what I love most about pet sitting—getting to know them and observing their personalities as they become more comfortable with me. I am currently only working a few days a week as I am in school. So I will have more than enough time, love, and definitely cuddles to give to your furry family. Your pets’ safety is my top priority when pet sitting. I make every effort to ensure that your animals have a wonderful and enjoyable time while I’m taking care of them. Also, I’d like to add that during overnight stays, I prefer my boyfriend, Landen, to stay with me. It makes me feel more comfortable as a young woman. He’s also an animal lover, so between the two of us, your beloved animals will receive an overload of love. (lol) I’ll make sure you’re okay with that before the booking as well!
“Frances took wonderful care of our pets! Despite my own lack of organization on day one, she still came by to make sure they were taken care of. I’m so thankful for her flexibility, reliability, and kindness. We truly appreciate her!”

“Alexis provided great care for Lucy, from the basics to play time. There were no worries. I hope the next time we travel Alexis is available, especially since she was willing to deal with our cranky kitty!”

About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs!
About: I've taken care of neighbors and friends pets consistently for the last 5 years. I love to give your fur babies lots of love care and attention. I work part time right now and work Tue through Thursday until 2:30 so my evenings are open for drop ins or walks during the afternoon hours. I am comfortable with staying in your home to care for your dog or cat, or I can stop by to keep your pet nourished and ensure they have a walk and a potty break.
“Krystyn is such a mature and responsible lady. She was so considerate to my wishes and concerns about taking care of my two cats. My older cat, who is twenty, has cancer and needs special attention. She took care and prepared his food and his bedding perfectly with every visit. I would love to employ her again if she is available.”

About: 25 years of heartfelt experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and ages, I bring genuine love and expert knowledge to every furry friend. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a wise senior cat, or anything in between, my deep understanding ensures compassionate, personalized care that nurtures their health and happiness. Every pet is treated like family, making their well-being and joy my top priority. Extremely flexible schedule, I am willing to travel, work remotely, willing to respond quickly, living on 1.5 acres, here to help with your pet needs. I have plenty of space to walk the dogs, a dog runner, crate, and one female cat named Bubbles. Bubbles will most likely stay in the basement where she thrives in her own space.
About: I have taken care of everything you can think of, it began when I was 9 years old. My family moved on a horse farm, where we took care of 13 horses everyday. After that my family ran a dog kennel with a capacity of 65 dogs, did that for about 4 years. I decided to branch out and start working for myself. I have pet sat for some years now during that, I have cared for live stock, birds, turtles, fish. I currently work weekends, between 8am-2pm. Unfortunately animals don’t talk so I got a part time job to get out of the house and socialize. I have a fenced in year, plenty of toys, a couple crates, definitely lots of bowls. Some dog beds, along with some blankets. Anything your animal may want I try to have. Of course bring anything that you think would help your doggie adjust.
About: I have had pets all my life. They are part of my family. Always helping my family with thier pets as well when they go out of town. I am retired and available anytime. I want to do something with my spare time that I love. Pets are family to me. I love all pets. I have 5 dogs of my own. They are spoiled rotten of course. I would be able to come to your home as needed. I have a roommate that can watch my babies as I watch yours.
About: I have had dogs, fish, and rodents all my life. I volunteered at the Asheville Humane Society early into my teenage years. My previous job was at a dog daycare, which I worked at for one year. After I left that job I began working as a pet bather at a grooming salon. I recently left that job as I wanted to go back to school, and now started volunteering for the Asheville Humane Society again. I have pet sat for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, mice, fish, rabbits, pretty much anything. I am happy do feed, walk, play with, or just snuggle with any critter you might have! Beginning in August I will be in school and will not be able to do any services until 1:00 or later on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also go to church Sunday mornings and also cannot do any services before 1:00. However I do not have a job at the moment so other than those two things my schedule is pretty open! *Because of school if you are wanting to book me for house sitting longer than two nights you MUST have WiFi* I am more than happy to provide any service you would like me to do for your fur baby in your home. I do not mind long walks/hikes, preparing complicated meals, playing, whatever you need. I never raise my voice or get physical with animals. I will care for them with love and care!

About: I am a nurse finishing Nurse Practitioner school taking time to focus on studies and family. I love to play and give lovings to them! I am currently finishing my degree to become a family nurse practitioner, so I am pretty open. I am available after 7:30 in the mornings. I have a cat who is very spoiled and loved. I make sure to spend time with pets and make sure they feel loved and safe.
“Isabella did a very nice job. What I appreciate most is when someone takes the time to pet and play with my guys, which is not an easy task given how shy they are, but she took the time and effort to put on cat TV, play with a laser and help them warm up to her. She also left detailed notes, which is always nice. I am very pleased with her work:)”

“Emily is an exceptional sitter which is why this was our 2nd time calling on her. We wholly trust her with our dogs. She’s responsible, punctual, affectionate with our girls and followed the lengthy medication regimen for our older dog. She even gave us a reminder a few days before to confirm the upcoming visits. Emily gave us peace of mind through pictures of our pups and a detailed report of how they were doing while we were gone. We love and appreciate Emily and so do our girls!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
