“Amanda is great- on time, pictures, and updates on my dog are routine! She is good with animals and trustworthy in your home while your away. I appreciate her kindness and reliability tremendously. She takes care of my dogs safely and securely, every time. Thank you so much for everything!”

About: I’m not just someone who pauses to care for your pet; my love for animals goes beyond measure. I’m committed to ensuring that the time I spend with them exceeds all expectations. I’m a graphic designer - most work I do is from home. So my schedule is very flexible and on the go! I can work and sit in while watching your animal! 😀 I have a dog myself - she is hardly ever caged and is trained to stay out and behave accordingly. She is very energetic. But LOVES people and other animals.
“Heather is absolutely incredible & caring! She really went out of her way to make sure my pups were well taken care of. She is amazing!! Highly recommend Heather for an incredible experience!”

“Elizabeth was such a delight and godsend for us. She was very attentive to the needs of the pets, and showed care like they were her own. She is patient, and goes above and beyond with communication. We are very happy with finding her, definitely recommend her, and will be using her again. Welcoming someone into your home is always a bit anxiety inducing, but she made us feel very comfortable and confident to leave our precious animals in her care.”

I will take notes, but I do require for written information or instructions to either be sent to me or left at the home for me. I will not accept a booking without a meet and greet. These are very important to make sure we are a right fit for each other. Keeps everyone safe and at ease. ALSO: Your time and my time and communication are very important to me. When we schedule a meet and greet please be sure that you are certain that you do require my services and are able to meet. Please, communicate with me if your plans have changed in a timely manner and I will do the same. Failure of communications prevents other fur parents to reach out to me regarding care for their fur babies for those dates. I have spent 17 years taking care of all kinds of doggies and kitties. Before becoming an Independent contractor on Rovers platform I would care for coworkers and friends pets in their home during their vacations or business trips. I have established trust with many people. I Love these fur babies like my own. Enjoy building this bond with them that lasts a lifetime. I will only sit in your fur babies home where they are in their element and feel most comfortable. This also means that you get a house sitter caring for your home as well. I like to make sure that I leave the space as clean or cleaner than when I arrived . This means that I will be cleaning up after myself and the fur babies when I am there. I love being active and will provide your fur baby with the necessary mental and physical stimulation they needs. I will take care of your fur babies and your home like my own. I am currently only available for overnight stays from 5:00pm- 7:30am during the weekdays and am available for an extended time frame on the weekends and holidays for an extended rate fee. I am always careful to respect your fur babies home environment. I want them to feel comfortable in their home. I consider your fur babies as my own when they are in my care.
“Jennifer is an outstanding pet caretaker. She did drop-ins over Christmas with our 2 cats. One has medical issues, but Jennifer easily handled things. It's obvious that she's skilled in caring for animals, and she gives them lots of love. We couldn't be happier with her care, and heartily recommend Jennifer.”

“I had a great experience with Mallory this past weekend while I was traveling. We did a meet and greet a couple weeks before my trip. She was so kind and my cat took to her immediately. I hired Mallory for 2 drop in visits and during these visits I received several pictures of my kitty enjoying her company along with a report of anything I needed to know (missing Christmas ornaments, litter box usage etc.). I will definitely be asking Mallory to drop in on my cat for future trips!”

At this time I do not have a pet companion but miss them dearly. Once I have an established routine in the area I will be in search of another furry walking companion. About: As a person who has been the primary care taker of my pets since I was 8, I know the right way to take care of animals and know how hard it can be to find quality care for our furry friends. With 2 cats of my own and with several previously owned dogs, I know I can provide excellent care to all kinds of animals! I also have a Veterinary Assisting degree, so also being able to alert owners of any health issues to be wary of is something I take seriously! Pet care is a daily task, as such I am able to do daily walks and be able to do other care tasks throughout the day so that your pet feels enriched and loved even when you’re away. I understand dog behavior to a good degree as I studied it while in school to earn my degree, so being able to safely walk a dog even if they are reactive is something I feel comfortable with.

About: I’ve always been an animal lover, and over the years, I’ve come to realize that each animal is truly unique with its own personality and quirks. This is what I love most about pet sitting—getting to know them and observing their personalities as they become more comfortable with me. I am currently only working a few days a week as I am in school. So I will have more than enough time, love, and definitely cuddles to give to your furry family. Your pets’ safety is my top priority when pet sitting. I make every effort to ensure that your animals have a wonderful and enjoyable time while I’m taking care of them. Also, I’d like to add that during overnight stays, I prefer my boyfriend, Landen, to stay with me. It makes me feel more comfortable as a young woman. He’s also an animal lover, so between the two of us, your beloved animals will receive an overload of love. (lol) I’ll make sure you’re okay with that before the booking as well!
“Krystin was very professional and attentive. Yoshi and Kirby loved her so much they want nothing to do with us now that we're back home. We would definitely ask her to watch our cats again!”

“Emily is an exceptional sitter which is why this was our 2nd time calling on her. We wholly trust her with our dogs. She’s responsible, punctual, affectionate with our girls and followed the lengthy medication regimen for our older dog. She even gave us a reminder a few days before to confirm the upcoming visits. Emily gave us peace of mind through pictures of our pups and a detailed report of how they were doing while we were gone. We love and appreciate Emily and so do our girls!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saluda. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
