“Elizabeth is absolutely wonderful. Communicative, willing to walk my reactive dog, very conscientious and I cannot recommend her enough. I can’t wait to use her again to take care of my babies! I’ve already signed up for another visit.”

“Adeline was the best! She was prompt, and even our anxious dogs warmed up quickly and enjoyed her visits. She kept us updated with pics and was quick to respond to scheduling and questions. We will absolutely have her visit again!”

“Jill was awesome! She made an instant connection with our dog. She shared great photos of our pup having a good time. We felt comfortable with her immediately and the entire time.”

“Christine is an excellent dog sitter. Her visits were right on time and our 3 dogs loved her. We live a bit further, in Champion Hills but it was no issue at all for her to come over and let them out 3 times a day. We will definitely use her again and I highly recommend her for your dog sitting needs.”

About: I’m the person who talks to your dog on the sidewalk in a funny voice. I fur babies & I’ve had pets my entire life. I am a full time mom to a sweet 6 year old son. Being outside and walking pups is our favorite thing to do together! I promise I will take great care of your fluffy family member and I look forward to meeting & cuddling them soon! I am currently working part-time so I have plenty of wiggle room for checking in on your fluffy family member and loving them and giving them cuddles and walks and food or whatever they need that day. I’m so excited to meet the love of your life. I live on a large piece of property so if your baby can be off leash, I can have them off leash comfortably or if you prefer they be on leash I can do that too. There is plenty of room for lots of exercise. I have a very friendly, one year-old dog and a very friendly three-year-old cat. They love other animals! I also have a six-year-old son and he is an animal lover as well. If your Animal doesn’t like kids or other animals, I’m probably not a good fit. But I do not have my son on the weekends so I could pet sit for you on the weekends when my son is not around if your pet doesn’t like kids. I’m so looking forward to meeting your fluffy family member!

“A+++ Amanda is wonderful with our dogs and very dependable! I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and calm manner. She is on time, communicates and updates me on the dogs, sends pics during her visit, and handles everything beautifully! Very grateful to have found her!”
“Ashley was amazing! She got my little guy to come out of his shell and exceeded my expectations. I am so grateful to have found someone trustworthy to check in on my cat while I am away.”

“Kayla was great! We appreciated her visit with our cat and will definitely recommend her to others. Our kitty is shy and always runs and hides when anyone comes into our home. Kayla snapped a few pictures for us of her in her bed. We are pleased with the services and will utilize the services again.”

“Gwynn is an outstanding sitter! We feel so grateful to have found her. It’s obvious that she’s a true animal lover and our pets adore her. We trust her to take wonderful care of them and we so appreciate her. She always goes above and beyond, and gives us peace of mind, knowing how well our furfam is being cared for. We can relax and enjoy our trip - what a priceless gift she is! Thanks so much, Gwynn, for being amazing ??”

“Francesca did an incredible job with my two cats. Each day I was provided with an extremely detailed update of how each of them were and what was completed on their behalf (food, water, litter, play). Francesca even brought our packages in and fed our local birds. If you want to leave your pet knowing they’re happy, safe, and well-fed, booking with Francesca is your best bet!”

“Rebecca went above and beyond for our pets. She treated them like family, gave them special love and attention, and kept us updated with adorable photos and videos and detailed progress reports while we were on vacation. One of our dogs has psychological trauma from his past and she was so gentle and accommodating with him. We hated being away from our pups for 6 days but knew they were in excellent hands. Thank you so much for your help, Rebecca! You truly have a way with animals! We will treasure so many of these pet photos too!”

About: Growing up with cats, I knew I wanted to be a dog person. I have rescued two dogs, both of which like to shadow us. I work from home next to an open doggy door all day. Our guests have access to a large fenced in yard, the opportunity to have some quiet time if they need it, and endless toys and bones to play with. Kyle and I are available often; the only restrictions we have include traveling that we do a handful of times throughout the year. When we aren’t traveling or working, Kyle likes to fish and I am focused on my art which takes place in my home. We have very few restrictions in our house when it comes to the dogs. (I think our only restriction is to table food, they don’t get any.) They have free rein of our large, fenced in back yard. If a dog needs their space, they go to another floor. I have a door that separates upstairs and down with comfortable areas in both locations for them to be alone with toys, bones, dog beds, and human furniture with full and easy access to all. If I am downstairs (in my studio) they will be with me. From my studio, they have direct access to the backyard via doggy door which is almost always open.
“As always, MB is an incredible sitter for our pups! She always puts us at ease with thorough descriptions of drop-ins and photos. We know they and our home are in safe hands. Thank you, again, for all you do!!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, and I bring a calm, intuitive approach to every pet I meet. I cared for my senior dog until he was 17 years old, so I’m very familiar with the slower routines, medication needs, and gentle patience older pets require. I currently have two six-month-old kittens and a senior cat at home, which means I’m comfortable with everything from rambunctious baby energy to the quiet, steady care that aging cats need. I’ve also cared for blind cats and deaf dogs, as well as pets with mobility or sensory challenges. I’m great at adjusting my pace, creating safe paths, and using sound and touch cues to help them feel secure. Honestly, I’ve been obsessed with animals since I was a kid. I used to carry a dog encyclopedia everywhere I went, and that curiosity has turned into a lifelong love of learning about different breeds, personalities, and needs. What sets me apart is my combination of experience, gentleness, and the ability to tune in to what each individual pet needs, whether that’s extra patience, structure, or simply a quiet, comforting presence. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I’m flexible with mornings, evenings, and weekends, and I can adjust to your pet’s needs—walks, meals, playtime, or quiet time—while keeping everything consistent and reliable. When I’m caring for an animal, my priority is creating a calm, safe, and predictable environment. I’m patient, observant, and always let each pet set the pace, whether they’re energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between. I follow your routines exactly as you lay them out: feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise habits, enrichment activities, and any house rules you rely on. I’m very detail-oriented, so things like secure doors, gates, and safe spaces are always double-checked. Cleanliness and comfort matter to me, too. I keep water fresh, living areas tidy, and make sure your pet has a peaceful space where they can relax and feel secure. I also communicate regularly so you always know how your pet is doing. Overall, I aim to provide steady, reliable care that makes your pet feel safe and understood, and gives you complete peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I have over 2 decades of experience in all types of animal care; including dog sitting/boarding, doggy daycare, and assisting vets. I also spent ten years raising and breeding boxers and working on a farm. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have pets of all kinds! I’ve always loved working with any kind of dog; I have no “restricted breeds” and I love all animals. I’m happy to help your 4 legged family members burn off some extra energy while you are away. You just let me know if they prefer to take walks, or to go on hikes, pal around and socialize at a pet park, or just play around and soak up some attention and cuddles -I’ll take care of it! I am currently self-employed and work for my self. So my schedule is flexible and I’ll have time to give your pet all the attention and love they deserve! I will care for your pet in your home however they are used to! You let me know how you want them cared for and I’ll make sure it’s done.
About: I have owned several dogs in the past years but almost two years ago I fostered my dog. I fostered until I could adopt him. I love to get out with him and see new things. For me it about making sure the dog has what it needs while the family is away. We all need a get away or we have a job to do and that is where I step in to help. I can be the person your dog will be safe with while you gone. I will make sure to keep them safe, busy, and healthy. I love to keep the family updated on anything we do. Pictures help ensure that your pet is getting what they need. I hope to here from you soon. I am a medical assistant. I work four days a week but I can babysit at anytime. I am pretty flexible with my working around my schedule. I treat all animals with the care they need. I can take them out on walks or sit with them. I can also give your pets their medications if they have any. I will go by a schedule if your dog has one.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
