“Christine did a perfect job with my dog, Poe! She was kind, very punctual, attentive to his needs, and a great communicator. Poe and I both felt entirely comfortable every step of the way!”

“Alex did an absolutely amazing job with my animals while we were out of town getting married. He was completely unfazed by 4 dogs and a cat, all running wild. He took such great care of all of them, sent the most adorable pictures of them, so we never had to stress that our babies were in good hands. Phenomenal job, we will gladly have Alex come back again any time we need a sitter ♥️”

“if i could give adelynn more than 5 stars i would. from the moment we had the meet and greet it was a immediate yes to let her drop in on the kitties. she left photos on rover and send videos to my number to put my mind at ease. adelynn was extremely responsive, polite, and kind. i recommend her to anyone who needs a little extra help when leaving town!”

“Wow! Such a great experience with Jill and Eric. They took such great care of my cat. Sent multiple pics and gave the best commentary! Arrived promptly for each visit. Really great people. Thanks so much. We will definitely use them again!”

“Alexis is a wonderful pet sitter who takes excellent care of my fur baby! Right away when I first met her I got an excellent first impression. She is very warm and friendly and was great with my cat! When I came home after a week away my cat was relaxed and happy. She did extra with keeping my bird feeders full and bird baths clean and also my plants. Wonderful and the best!!! Highly recommend Alexis!”

“Katherine was phenomenal as a sitter for our three cats. It was our first time employing Rover and Katherine as our sitter. She was very thorough with the routine, she was very communicative and our cats really enjoyed spending time with her. She played with them a lot and sent us fun pictures and videos. We did not worry about our babies at all…and we are big worriers. I HIGHLY recommend Katherine and will happily have her take care of our kitties again. I’d say she went over and beyond the call of duty!”

“Amanda was great! She responds quickly. Most importantly, our usually anxious dog warmed up to her immediately and was completely at ease. He loved her right away!”

“Grayson is amazing. I recently adopted a Great Dane who had a rough start to life and need someone who can help me show him how kind people can be. Grayson is the perfect person for this. Even when my dog jumps on him, he just laughs like he's never been happier. I feel so lucky to have him to look after my pup while I'm at work.”
“Mallory was great! Very communicative during her visit and sent lots of pics & videos!! My babygirl loved hanging out with her! Will definitely be having her hangout with my little girl again!!”

“I highly recommend Ana! I’m new to the area and needed someone I could trust to care for my shy cat, Littles, while I was out of state for nine days. He was still adjusting to our recent move and had been stressed by water intrusion issues and all the maintenance visits that followed. Ana was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and set up a meet-and-greet right away. Littles spent most of that first visit hiding behind the couch, but she was patient and determined to win him over. She sent daily photos and updates, and even checked my apartment for water leaks during heavy rain, which gave me so much peace of mind. Within a few days, Littles was curled up in Ana’s lap enjoying all the pets. When I got home, he was relaxed, eating well, and clearly had been well cared for. I’ll definitely be booking Ana again for my September trip and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, dependable pet sitter.”

About: I have been taking care of other people's animals since middle school and just love getting to know your pets! Experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish! Willing to take on pets with medical needs! I work 40 hours over 5 days days a week. I am typically away from the house from 9 am - 5 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. Depending on your location, I may be able to pop back to the house on my short lunch break. I am comfortable walking your animals on leashes, pushing them in strollers, using a treadmill, playing with them in the yard, or whatever else is your routine and preference!
“Ashlee was absolutely wonderful. The notes and photos sent were great. I was able to enjoy my entire vacation knowing she was stopping by checking on my cat. Highly recommend!”

About: As a person who has been the primary care taker of my pets since I was 8, I know the right way to take care of animals and know how hard it can be to find quality care for our furry friends. With 2 cats of my own and with several previously owned dogs, I know I can provide excellent care to all kinds of animals! I also have a Veterinary Assisting degree, so also being able to alert owners of any health issues to be wary of is something I take seriously! Pet care is a daily task, as such I am able to do daily walks and be able to do other care tasks throughout the day so that your pet feels enriched and loved even when you’re away. I understand dog behavior to a good degree as I studied it while in school to earn my degree, so being able to safely walk a dog even if they are reactive is something I feel comfortable with.
“Ryan makes a point of knowing what my cat’s preferences are and seeing he gets them so visits are a positive experience for him. Mom may not be home but Ryan’s got this.”
“Elizabeth has been an absolute JOY to have taking care of our motley crew while we were away! Her updates were detailed and funny, and we could tell she enjoys what she does. We highly recommend her and would not hesitate to have her back! 💛🐾”

“Ciara did an awesome job pet sitting for our cat BeeFeeBee. When we retutned from our trip he was full bodied from being well fed, his coat was clean not mangy or rundown in any way. All signs that he was perfectly cared for in our absence. Thank you Ciara for being so on top of it!”

As of August 2026, there are 921 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Fruitland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fruitland. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
