For all bookings I require a meet and great before the booking dates. This free meet and greet will last around 30 mins so I can meet the fur baby and the family, get acquainted to your home and pets life style. We will talk about the needs during the meet and greet. I will take notes, but I do require for written information or instructions to either be sent to me or left at the home for me. I will not accept a booking without a meet and greet. These are very important to make sure we are a right fit for each other. Keeps everyone safe and at ease. ALSO: Your time and my time and communication are very important to me. When we schedule a meet and greet please be sure that you are certain that you do require my services and are able to meet. Please, communicate with me if your plans have changed in a timely manner and I will do the same. Failure of communications prevents other fur parents to reach out to me regarding care for their fur babies for those dates. I have spent 17 years taking care of all kinds of doggies and kitties. Before becoming an Independent contractor on Rovers platform I would care for coworkers and friends pets in their home during their vacations or business trips. I have established trust with many people. I Love these fur babies like my own. Enjoy building this bond with them that lasts a lifetime. I will only sit in your fur babies home where they are in their element and feel most comfortable. This also means that you get a house sitter caring for your home as well. I like to make sure that I leave the space as clean or cleaner than when I arrived . This means that I will be cleaning up after myself and the fur babies when I am there. I love being active and will provide your fur baby with the necessary mental and physical stimulation they needs. I will take care of your fur babies and your home like my own. I am currently only available for overnight stays from 5:00pm- 7:30am during the weekdays and am available for an extended time frame on the weekends and holidays for an extended rate fee. I am always careful to respect your fur babies home environment. I want them to feel comfortable in their home. I consider your fur babies as my own when they are in my care.
“Megan did a great job! She took time to let our cats get comfortable with her and that is kind of a challenge with our Keller who is essentially blind and quite skeptical of meeting new people. Megan posted pictures and videos showing how they responded to her so well. She kept us up to date on her visits giving us confidence that they were in good hands while we were away. I highly recommend her!”

“Elizabeth was such a delight and godsend for us. She was very attentive to the needs of the pets, and showed care like they were her own. She is patient, and goes above and beyond with communication. We are very happy with finding her, definitely recommend her, and will be using her again. Welcoming someone into your home is always a bit anxiety inducing, but she made us feel very comfortable and confident to leave our precious animals in her care.”

“Rebecca was awesome with our 2 elderly JRT’s After our old sitter moved away, I thought I would have to take them to a kennel. Everything went very smooth and kept them comfortable in their home.”

“Wow! Such a great experience with Jill and Eric. They took such great care of my cat. Sent multiple pics and gave the best commentary! Arrived promptly for each visit. Really great people. Thanks so much. We will definitely use them again!”

“Ashlee was absolutely wonderful. The notes and photos sent were great. I was able to enjoy my entire vacation knowing she was stopping by checking on my cat. Highly recommend!”

Your animal is safe with me; you don't have to worry. I aim to make open and transparent communication my top priority. If something goes wrong or your animal gets sick I will always contact you.

“Ryan makes a point of knowing what my cat’s preferences are and seeing he gets them so visits are a positive experience for him. Mom may not be home but Ryan’s got this.”
“It’s not always easy to find someone that my anxious pup likes, but she quickly became comfortable with Lisa! I came home to happy and safe dogs and that is all I could ever ask for.”

About: We have almost always had pets! I have been pet sitting for friends, clients and family, as needed for the last 8 years! I am familiar with dogs, cats, chickens, turtles, birds and fish. I shave and bathe my own cats, if that doesn't display how much they trust me, I don't know what does. I love all animals and think they all deserve to be treated with love and respect. I enjoy hiking and walking so if that is something your pets like, I would love to take them to do that, on leash of course. I have a full-time job. So,I am looking to pick up extra pet jobs when you go out of town or need an extra hand! Afternoons after work, mornings on the weekends also available. I do not allow other pets in my home as I have two cats that are scared if others, including people. Usually when pet sitting, I do so in the clients home. I stay in a spare room and clean up after myself and the pets. The last thing you want when you come home from a trip is more cleaning!
“Gwynn is an outstanding sitter! We feel so grateful to have found her. It’s obvious that she’s a true animal lover and our pets adore her. We trust her to take wonderful care of them and we so appreciate her. She always goes above and beyond, and gives us peace of mind, knowing how well our furfam is being cared for. We can relax and enjoy our trip - what a priceless gift she is! Thanks so much, Gwynn, for being amazing ??”

“Alexis is very willing to work with you to make her visits stress free. Cotton (my cat) seemed to warm up to Alexis very quickly which is unusual for Cotton. I will certainly highly recommend and use Alexis again!”

“Abigail is great! She shows up early/on time. She is respectful and kind. She takes time to make sure your pet is well loved on and happy. She follows all directions and is very responsive. She takes great photos and leaves detailed updates. My dog loves her. It was nice to be away and know my baby was taken care of.”

“Francesca did an incredible job with my two cats. Each day I was provided with an extremely detailed update of how each of them were and what was completed on their behalf (food, water, litter, play). Francesca even brought our packages in and fed our local birds. If you want to leave your pet knowing they’re happy, safe, and well-fed, booking with Francesca is your best bet!”

“Emily is an exceptional sitter which is why this was our 2nd time calling on her. We wholly trust her with our dogs. She’s responsible, punctual, affectionate with our girls and followed the lengthy medication regimen for our older dog. She even gave us a reminder a few days before to confirm the upcoming visits. Emily gave us peace of mind through pictures of our pups and a detailed report of how they were doing while we were gone. We love and appreciate Emily and so do our girls!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Flat Rock
Amanda was fantastic and truly went above and beyond while watching our dog Max. Not only did she take the utmost care of him but she also spent time keeping him company and sent us picture updates each visit. She just has an incredible way with animals. Even though she was there for Max, I was shocked to see our shyest cat (who I was positive would stay completely hidden) feeling comfortable enough to come out and sit with her. As first timers we feel really lucky to have found her and will absolutely look to use her services again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Flat Rock with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
