About: I just lost my dog of 12 years. I'm not ready for another yet. Until I would l to help you with extra love for yours! ♡ I work 7 to 5, Monday through Friday. 10 HOURS PER DAY, I MAY NOT be a good fit everyone on weekdays! However, I would be available to help you with walking from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays, and we could talk about weekends! I live in downtown Hendersonville and do the Ecusta Trail quite often, if you are near I would love to help! I would prefer to come to your home to help with your dog! But if we vibe well, I have a home set up for a dog, with a fenced in yard and a doggie door!
“Denisse did a wonderful job taking care of my fur babies while I was away. I hate leaving my girls but knowing They were in such great hands with Denisse allowed me to enjoy my mini vacation. She followed instructions, notified me of any issues and left great notes on each River card. I highly recommend booking with Denisse!!!!”

“Alexis is a life saver, she filled a last minute request to watch my cat, Blair. I really appreciate her quick communication as well as the level of detail she provides in her updates. Blair was really well cared for and I will 100% be using Alexis again. I highly recommend her.”

“Mara provided exceptional care for our 2 dogs and keep us updated with pictures and pertinent details! She also was able to assist us with short notice. We highly recommend Mara and will definitely look into booking her again. Thanks Mara and have a great day! 😁”

About: As a person who has been the primary care taker of my pets since I was 8, I know the right way to take care of animals and know how hard it can be to find quality care for our furry friends. With 2 cats of my own and with several previously owned dogs, I know I can provide excellent care to all kinds of animals! I also have a Veterinary Assisting degree, so also being able to alert owners of any health issues to be wary of is something I take seriously! Pet care is a daily task, as such I am able to do daily walks and be able to do other care tasks throughout the day so that your pet feels enriched and loved even when you’re away. I understand dog behavior to a good degree as I studied it while in school to earn my degree, so being able to safely walk a dog even if they are reactive is something I feel comfortable with.
“Everything you want in a pet sitter. Excellent quick communication, sincere attention and love for your fur babies, and Safety and Security knowing that she is the best caretaker with her Veterinary background”

About: I’m a nurse who works from home with a very flexible schedule, which means I have a plenty of time to prioritize your pets. I know how much peace of mind it brings to have a reliable person nearby, and I treat every animal I visit like family. I’m completely comfortable with senior pets, pets with unique temperaments, following specific feeding routines, or administering medications (including injections) if needed. You can relax knowing your pets are safe and getting all the attention they need. Whether your pet needs a mid-day walking buddy or just a calm presence to hang out with during the workday, I’m happy to step in and help. I do not offer overnights at this time, but can arrange several drop ins throughout the day if you're out of town. I have a shepherd mix and two cats at home. I currently work from home with a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to spend caring for animals! I am available for drop ins, walks, and longer daycare sessions in your home. I place safety first when caring for dogs and will always follow your routine and care instructions. I have experience with reactive pups and am comfortable caring for and walking dogs of all temperaments, given proper safety measurements are implemented (such as walking dogs separately when needed).

I am currently a full time student in college but I often have time off on weekends to take care of pets. I also have time in between classes to walk or check in with pets. I spend lots of time outside and go on walks regularly and I’d love to bring pets along with me. I also can spend time with them in the clients home if that’s where they are more comfortable.

I am available throughout the Saluda, Hendersonville and Landrum area and am doing human caregiving throughout the WNC area. If your dog agrees I am open to taking them on local hikes. Pet care in your home only; I have worked as a house sitter/pet sitter in NC for several years in addition to personal caregiver for 15+ years.

“Louise took great care of my kitties! She came each day, gave them outside time on the deck, and left my kitchen spotless. She rinsed the food tins out and put them in the recycling. She also found my broom and swept around the litter boxes. I didn't expect either of these, and I appreciated the extra effort. I had peace of mind as I traveled, knowing she was visiting them daily, giving them pets and love.”

“Claire is very responsive and easy to work with. My request was last minute and she still managed and requested a get to know quick appointment prior to the days of dog walking /drop visits. She followed every request and favor for the doggies. She is someone I trust giving access to my place without me being there. Thank you Claire!”
“I have a very anxious Aussie who gets very out of sorts when his herd of humans are away. From our initial meet and greet with Erika, I could see that her laid back and trusting energy provided my pup with the reassurance he needed. I was very happy with how the first visit went and plan to hire her again!”

Abigail is great! She shows up early/on time. She is respectful and kind. She takes time to make sure your pet is well loved on and happy. She follows all directions and is very responsive. She takes great photos and leaves detailed updates. My dog loves her. It was nice to be away and know my baby was taken care of.

Cate was amazing! She was so willing to listen and learn about Dennis at our meet n greet. She took great pictures and left a great summary of how the drop in visit went. We will definitely ask her to drop in on Dennis again. We felt very comfortable leaving our pup in her care and having her in our home.

This is the second time Kristen has checked in on our fur babes, this time the dog too. All three are very happy and safe. Kristen asks great questions during the meet n greets and makes sure the animals are well taken care of according to any guidelines you share. She’s always sure to give them extra love too!

We felt very comfortable leaving our dog in Michael’s care while we did a day trip out of town. The visits to our dog were right on time and we loved seeing the photos. Michael even brought our pet food delivery in from the front porch. We will definitely use Michael’s services again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
