“Justin’s family took amazing care of our cat Davy Jones while I was away, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Davy means the world to me, and they treated him like family. They made sure all of his needs were met and went above and beyond making time to meet him before my trip. My Davy can be picky with who he gets along with but from the moment they came over he was out rolling around at their feet begging for pets. I came home to a happy, well taken care of boy. I would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them. I can’t wait to book again in the future knowing my guy will be well taken care of.”

“Kaydince is the best! She watched my dog on a regular basis. She was very responsive and always on time. She uploaded pictures of my dog after every visit. She helped me out for several months and I would highly recommend!”

About: I've had several types of animals throughout my whole life so I have plenty of experience. I've cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, small animals, etc. I feel comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My schedule is currently fairly flexible. It's easy for me to adjust my routine to care for and spend time with your pet throughout the day. I'll make sure that your pet is comfortable and well cared for while you're away. I'm happy to do drop in visits, walks, or house sitting. I'll follow the instruction given to me and keep you updated with messages and photos.

About: **my prices are lower since I am new on this app and the price should reflect that. That does not mean I do not have experience or that I will care any less for your family member as other sitters on here :)** -Grew up on a farm with a wide range of animals -My pups are my children and treated like royalty. Their homemade dinners are more healthy than what my fiance and I make for ourselves! -My uncle is a vet so I've got a vet on stand by for any small to large questions and needs that may arise. I work at a teen homeless shelter so my shifts paired with my fiance's job shifts make house sitting at my house not feasible. I am able to do drop in services along with walk. I value safety above all else. Your best friend will be taken care of as if they are my own. Good communication will be maintained so you are kept in the loop and not having to worry.
About: I’m an experienced and dependable dog sitter/caregiver who loves spending time with animals! I’m flexible, reliable, and committed to giving every dog the attention, care, and affection they deserve!! I’ve watched and raised dogs of all ages and sizes and also volunteer at my local shelter :) I am currently working part time as a nanny and going to school during the weekdays. I am able to leave school partly to take a dog outside if needed :) I am comfortable with crating, feeding, picking up waste, and taking pets on walks! I’ve always had dogs in my home so I am super comfortable caring for them. I am very respectful of boundaries and am very commutative through texts and pictures/videos to ensure you and your pets feel safe!!
“One of the absolute best pet sitters we've used to date! Dana will definitely be one i rebook for sure. She was so great with all my cats, even giving medication to one of our cats, which isn't an easy task! Above and beyond! Do not hesitate to book with her!”

About: I’ve had all kinds of animals my whole life. I’ve had pigs, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, turtles, and rabbits. I am a Vet Tech and I absolutely love taking care of all kinds of animals! I currently work at the emergency vet clinic, so I work nights, usually off by midnight, and typically 12 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. However, my schedule can easily be adjusted if needed. My dog is completely potty trained with a doggy door and I feed her twice a day, usually around 7am and 5pm. As a vet tech, I understand that every pet is different and has their own individual needs and I’m more than happy to adjust my own schedule to accommodate to theirs as much as I can.
“Angela was incredible! Even though she lives further away than she usually travels for pet sitting, she volunteered to help and took excellent care of my cats when another sitter fell through at the last minute. She was communicative, sent loads of photos, and made sure London and Megara were well cared for. I will definitely be welcoming Angela back the next time I travel!”

About: I have taken care of animals since a very young age. I’ve had many dogs growing up, some were puppies that I had to train. I currently have a senior dog and a puppy that requires lots of attention. I have dog sat for many family friends where I had to follow a strict feeding, playing, walking, and potty schedule. I also volunteer at animal shelters every week. I am a full-time college student who’s looking for ways to pay my tuition. I have classes from Tuesday through Friday and I work as a CNA some days throughout the week. I can work with almost any schedule my clients need. I live in an apartment so I can’t board your pets. However, I am happy to follow a feeding schedule and what ever else you need at your home
“So grateful that Katie was able to come by last minute and spend some time with our dog while we were visiting her town. I was grateful for the pictures and that I knew my dog had some snuggles while we were gone that day.”

“This Team is Fantastic! Everything I requested from Gaston and Krisanne was handled professionally and with a spirit of "we are here to help." I had to add days, add mail pickup, correspond from out of town, so all my wishes for my kitties, Lily & Fuzzy were granted. Photos of the day are submitted and even though my kitties are shy, I could tell they were fed, had treats, crunchy bowl was monitored...daily fresh water was provided. Please consider them for your pets care. I am definitely going to continue to support and book Gaston.”

“Could not have asked for better care for my 2 cats. Very communicative, took actual notes during the meet and greet, totally conscientious and thoughtful. Left such detailed notes for each visit and numerous pictures that made me feel perfectly at ease being away. Could not recommend any higher, sincerely.”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 6+ years! I have 3+ years of veterinary background at Texas A&M University and additional vet pharmacy experience from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. I have experience administering medications including pilling and house-sitting! I am currently on remote rotation for my Pharm.D. program, so I am very flexible in my hours throughout the week! I am willing to stop by or stay to house-sit as well. I am in an apartment that doesn't allow pets, but I am willing to pet sit in your home, house-sit, or wherever you need it. I can also come in and let out the pets for potty breaks, or administer medications.

Katie was so great with our senior cat and went above and beyond for us over Christmas break! He felt so comfortable with her immediately it was like having a second me at home to do the check-ins and help give his medication! Would recommend her highly to anyone needing a great Rover, I didn’t have to worry at all while we were gone!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
