About: I’ve been taking care of pets for 6+ years! I have 3+ years of veterinary background at Texas A&M University and additional vet pharmacy experience from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. I have experience administering medications including pilling and house-sitting! I am currently on remote rotation for my Pharm.D. program, so I am very flexible in my hours throughout the week! I am willing to stop by or stay to house-sit as well. I am in an apartment that doesn't allow pets, but I am willing to pet sit in your home, house-sit, or wherever you need it. I can also come in and let out the pets for potty breaks, or administer medications.
About: I’ve been around pets most of my life! I currently have two kitty’s of my own and have helped care for my dad’s cats and dogs since I was 11. I’m experienced with feeding, playtime, and giving lots of love and attention. I work Monday through Friday from 8–5, so I’m available early mornings, afternoons during my lunch break, and the rest of the evenings during the week. Weekends are more open, which means your pets get plenty of extra love, playtime, and attention! Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I make sure every pet is cared for, and secure, whether that means giving them space or extra cuddles. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and love I give my own, keeping things clean, safe, and stress-free.
“Justin accepted our request on short notice, which we "greatly" appreciated. He came to the house ahead of our departure to meet and receive feeding instructions. Justin visited twice daily and stayed a full half hour each visit to provide play time, etc. He also emailed us pictures after each visit, which we grew to look forward to receiving. I highly recommend Justin. He provided a professional and friendly service. Thank you Justin, you are the best of the best! P.S. We will give you more notice before our next trip :-) Jack & Charlotte”

“One of the absolute best pet sitters we've used to date! Dana will definitely be one i rebook for sure. She was so great with all my cats, even giving medication to one of our cats, which isn't an easy task! Above and beyond! Do not hesitate to book with her!”

“Without a doubt Jessica is the person for you! And your pet! She was on time, followed all instructions & loved our pet 100% we did not even meet get face to face. Jessica followed specific written instructions & did it 100% on task - we have cameras inside & she definitely can be trusted sight unseen. Thank you so very much for being there when we needed you.”

“Elizabeth took such great care of my anxious guy who has been having a hard time after our recent move. We did a longer drop-in and she comforted him with pets and reassurance while I was out. He didn't work himself up into frantic stress while I was gone, and we are working to make him feel more comfortable and safe in our new space. Would 10/10 recommend Elizebeth for anxious pets, separation anxiety, dogs going through any kind of transition, etc.”

“Aubree was awesome!! She had such good communication and kept us well informed while we were out of the country. Milo looked happy and well taken care of in all the pictures, and so it made me feel so at peace! We will definitely rebook with her again. 🙏🏻”

“Katie was so great with our senior cat and went above and beyond for us over Christmas break! He felt so comfortable with her immediately it was like having a second me at home to do the check-ins and help give his medication! Would recommend her highly to anyone needing a great Rover, I didn’t have to worry at all while we were gone!”

“Kaydince did an excellent job caring for our 2 young cats. Our cat that is scared of most people came out of hiding and socialized with her during every visit. Kaydince has excellent response time when communicating and was patient with my overabundance of concerns and instructions.”

About: Not only have I raised and kept animals all my life, including my own bundle of cats and a dog that I currently call family, I have also worked several years professionally caring for animals in day cares, boarding houses, and even get clinics. I am well versed in making sure animals get their medicine as they are required, and just ensuring the animals are happy and comfortable. I currently work evenings five days a week, starting at 5pm. But that means I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies during the day! I am not able to do any boarding (I currently house 4 cats and a dog), but I am very flexible with following any guidelines or requests! I am able to administer pills to both cats and dogs, and love to spend time either cuddling or playing with animals.

We love Jessica caring for our fur babies so much and she does such a great job that we don’t worry anymore about our dogs and cat while we’re gone. She is amazing! And we also love the fact that our pets are comfortable while we’re gone knowing Jessica will care for them. They love her too!!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
