“Mishell is wonderful. She takes great care of our animals. Her communication is fantastic. We felt like our sweet pets were in great hands while we were out of town. Definitely will use her again!”

“Skylar was amazing with my little cat! They were on time, great at communicating with me via text, and taking the cutest pictures. Skylar should really be a pet photographer! Will definitely be booking with Skylar again.”

About: **my prices are lower since I am new on this app and the price should reflect that. That does not mean I do not have experience or that I will care any less for your family member as other sitters on here :)** -Grew up on a farm with a wide range of animals -My pups are my children and treated like royalty. Their homemade dinners are more healthy than what my fiance and I make for ourselves! -My uncle is a vet so I've got a vet on stand by for any small to large questions and needs that may arise. I work at a teen homeless shelter so my shifts paired with my fiance's job shifts make house sitting at my house not feasible. I am able to do drop in services along with walk. I value safety above all else. Your best friend will be taken care of as if they are my own. Good communication will be maintained so you are kept in the loop and not having to worry.
“Could not have asked for better care for my 2 cats. Very communicative, took actual notes during the meet and greet, totally conscientious and thoughtful. Left such detailed notes for each visit and numerous pictures that made me feel perfectly at ease being away. Could not recommend any higher, sincerely.”

“I couldn’t ask for better sitters!!! I feel so blessed to have met you. I’ll need to frame some of the beautiful pictures you took. I mean it when I say— that I’m sooo surprised how well she took to u guys. Better then anyone else besides me. Now maybe I can go on a much needed vacation in the future and not worry about!!!!”

About: Coming from a super small town in real Nevada I have taken care of lots of dogs there I have always been around dogs my whole life! I have three dogs back home and have been taking care of dogs since I was around 7 years old! I am currently enrolled in college, so my schedule throughout the day is pretty open except for the times I have my classes. Most days I can do late morning to mid afternoon cause I have classes before and after. I don’t currently have my fur babies with me but back at home they have their own little house that they live in. They free roaming the yard which is fenced and they pretty much get to do whatever they want and live their life.

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get consistent attention, walks, feeding, and playtime. I have a flexible routine and make time throughout the day for check-ins, exercise, and companionship. I always prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet in my care. “Michelle was awesome and very trustworthy. She provided detailed daily updates after her drop-in visits, and we came home to a happy kitty. I would definitely work with her again!”

About: My family has had Samoyeds all of my life and it turned me into a major dog-lover! I plan to get my own husky as soon as I graduate college, but in the mean time, I try to interact with dogs as much as possible. I now have a 7-year-old rescue who is my little baby. When sitting, I like to go on walks, runs, or play in large grassy areas to stay active. I am extremely responsible, never leaving pets alone and making sure that they are well-hydrated, fed, and entertained. I am comfortable and excited about dogs of all types, ages, and sizes. I’m a stay-at-home mama, so my schedule is pretty flexible and available! My husband is at home too so it’s easy for me to pop in and out as needed. I have a large grassy fenced in yard where doggos can sniff around and explore! There’s also a large grassy field right behind my house for fetch and getting all the energy out!
“Luna was a wonderful caretaker for our dog! She is so kind, honest, communicative and trustworthy. She was great with the pup and is a natural with animals! You know your baby is taken care of when you return home and they don't care that you're back :) We will absolutely use her again!”

“Ashlee was wonderful with our pug, taking great care of him while we were gone for the day! He had a giant smile on his face when we returned home, clearly happy with his new friend! She gave updates and lots of photos, would definitely work with Ashlee again! Thank you Ashlee!”

About: I have worked with animals for 5 years now! I am a certified dog and cat handler as well as groomer. I have taken many education courses on dog and cat behavior and how best to care for each individual pet. I have loved animals since I was born and would be honored to give my love to your fur-babies. I am mostly available mornings and evenings. I currently work a part time job, but I am always available on the weekends for any service needed! I care for other pets as my own and treat other homes with respect. I will always leave the house exactly as I found it and make sure the animals feel as loved as if their pawrents were home with them!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hurricane
We needed a cat sitter last minute (with less than a week till our trip). Audriana was quick to reply and did a great job caring for our shy kitties. She tried her best to make them feel comfortable and it was good to know they were taken care of while we were out of town. We would 100% re-book with her if we need a drop in sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
