“Joel was fantastic at caring for our home and animals while we were away. He was very professional and asked many detailed questions about our pets and their care! Will be booking again in the future! Thank you again!!!”

“Kylee loves and cares for your pet like they are her own 🖤 i got lots of updates and pictures and shelly warmed up to her quickly which doesn’t happen often so that was nice to know they both enjoyed their time together”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. They showed up right on time, were incredibly respectful, and handled everything with such care — even though our house was a bit chaotic (thank you for being so understanding). They sent us a sweet picture update of our puppy, which meant the world to us. He clearly missed us, but we felt completely confident he was in good hands. Because of that, we were able to relax and truly enjoy our son’s graduation. We are very picky about who watches our pup, and we’re so grateful we found someone we can trust. You will be our first choice from now on. Fantastic job — 10 stars!”

“Punctual, quick to respond, and professional. Seemed to care about my dogs as much as I do which is hard to do. Never a doubt in my mind that my pets or house weren’t going to be perfectly taken care of. 10/10 rating. 5 stars. Thank you!”

“Kailey stayed and checked on our pup and cat at least 3 times a day and stayed overnight with them as well. We came home to a clean house and a happy puppy and would book her again!”

“Alicia was a lifesaver! Two days away from a two week trip, and we find one of our two elderly kitties has a mysterious infection and needs meds twice a day, with a chance that things might take a turn for the worse. This was just too much to ask of our friends who usually stop by to check on them. Rover to the rescue! Within a few minutes, our request was answered by Alicia. She came to the house to get acquainted, and fit right in with our little family. Having her spend the nights so sick kitty wasn't alone was such a relief! The daily photos and updates were very reassuring, and all was well. Definitely will call on her again in the future. Thank you, Alicia!”

About: I am a lifelong dog lover and personally have 10 dogs of my own. While my experience of taking care of dogs comes from a lifetime of hands-on, daily care rather than formal jobs in the pet care field, I know exactly how to handle, entertain, and love your furry family members as if they were my own. Hi there! I am a lifelong dog lover dedicated to giving your pets the ultimate care, playtime, and affection. I am a full time dog walker and I have an open flexible schedule! I believe creating a safe, fun, and cozy environment for pets is necessary so taking the right measures to ensure all of those are met is my mission while taking care of your fur baby!
About: I have been a pet sitter since middle school. I currently cat sit and dog sit for family and friends. Which include various breeds, age, and sizes. I have a pretty flexible work schedule. I can assure you that your pets will have all of the love and care while you are away. I am attentive to my own animals and I will treat yours like my own. Feeding them as frequently as needed. Also including medications, if needed.
“Kimberly was absolutely phenomenal!! We’ve never left our dogs with anyone that wasn’t family before so we were extremely nervous leaving for a 5 day trip. She came for a meet & greet and was lovely with the dogs. During our stay she sent over 300 photos- we absolutely loved it! It felt like we never left because we saw so many photos of our dogs. We even joked that they didn’t even miss us because they looked so happy. She gave a run down of what was going on each day and was super patient when our one dog gave her a hard time in the beginning when she was coming into the house. Overall, I could not recommend someone enough. Our dogs loved her and we came home to a clean home and happy, healthy pups!! Will definitely be booking with her again next time we leave town. It made our vacation so much more enjoyable knowing the dogs were in good hands.”

“Nadia was wonderful. My dog Jackson is not trusting of others or dogs. Her experience with dogs coupled with her patience Jackson felt safe and warmed up to her. After a slow introduction to her dog Shellie, the two were playing together! Miracle worker in my eyes. Nadia was very respectful of my home and it was clean when I got home from my 8 day vacation. She kept me updated with his eating and walking schedule. I have only kind things to say about her abilities as a in home pet sitter.”

“Best review came from our dog. He did a little "glee pee" when he saw Jason today. Jason stayed with Kal for 3 weeks while we were away on vacation. They obviously got on very well together because Kal has only greeted 2 other people with "glee pee." Finding a responsible, gentle and caring individual was our number one concern when we were looking for someone to care for Kal. Our second concern was finding someone who we could trust to care for the house and our property. Jason exceeded our expectations on both counts. After 3 weeks together, Kal was obviously in love with Jason. The house was exactly as we had left it. If there was a 6th star, he would definitely get it.”

About: I treat every pet like they are my own. I have had my dog for five years and have also cared for many friends’ and families’ pets, so I am used to different personalities, routines, and energy levels. With a flexible schedule, I can give your pet plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, and consistency throughout the day. Whether they are energetic, shy, silly, or need a slower pace, I pay attention to what helps them feel comfortable. I also send regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Pet care fits well into my daily routine because I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability. I am able to provide reliable care throughout the day, including walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, and overnight care when needed. I can also adjust easily to pets’ individual routines and give them consistent attention rather than rushing through visits. I provide attentive, routine-based care that follows each pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible. In a client’s home, I make sure pets have fresh water, meals given exactly as instructed, regular potty breaks or walks, playtime, and plenty of affection and companionship. I also keep their space clean, follow any medication or special-care instructions carefully, and send updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing.
“Shanna was excellent. First time I have left my pup in a very long time and it was nice to know she was taking good care of her. Since we were overseas it was important we got someone really good and she nailed it!”

About: Friends and family have had me watch their pets over the years. It’s always nice to trust that your pets will be taken care of while you are away. I would be able to feed, hang out, walk your pet before work and then after I get back from work. I have weekends off I do have a fenced yard and a doggie door that I can utilize if needed. We would keep pets downstairs and our cat upstairs.
“Our pups were so well taken care of while we were gone! We loved the daily photos and videos and our pups were so happy and relaxed with them 😊 thank you so much! Would 100% book with you again!”

“Alexis did a fantastic job caring for Ruby over the weekend! Communication was great and she kept me updated throughout the day with pics of all the fun they were having! Will definitely book again!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Sacaton
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,718 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sacaton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sacaton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sacaton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sacaton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sacaton. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
