About: I have taken care of dogs almost my entire life, and I have loved nothing more than doing that! I have always grown up with two dogs in my family, where they are our total babies, am constantly watching for friends/family, coworkers, neighbors, etc. Dog-sitting is one of my most favorite things to do, and I would love to tend to all of your animals needs. I am a recently graduated student from the University of Iowa, and just moved to Gilbert for a fresh start! I have an extremely flexible schedule to where I can attend to any of your pets needs. I am also fully available on weekends! I ensure to give the pets all the care they may possibly need. I always want to make sure they feel loved and cared for. I absolutely love walking and cuddling with all animals, and anything else at all! I will always make sure they feel at home while watching them.
About: I have done pet sitting in my area for the past six years and taken care of cats and dogs alike. I have three dogs of my own of all different sizes and am a volunteer at Friends for Life animal shelter! Can’t wait to meet you and your pet! I am a nursing student in Tucson but I come back often for breaks and love to petsit when I am back!.I always am willing to move around my schedule to make time as well! About: Hello all! My name is Morgan and I am a certified veterinary technician with a degree in veterinary technology and extensive experience caring for pets of all kinds. With several years of dedicated pet sitting experience, I have developed strong skills in animal handling, behavior observation, and administering basic medical care when needed. Currently, I work at an emergency veterinary facility, where I provide compassionate and skilled support to animals in critical situations. My background ensures that pets under my care receive professional attention, safety, and plenty of love. Pet care is my everyday routine. With my own family pet, I understand the importance of how owners have set schedules and what their goals are for their fur babies. In my household, our family dog gets fed once in the morning and once at night. Always has fresh water and bowls, potty breaks every 4 hours or so, and at least one walk a day. I have watched my neighbors pets in the past and I am very flexible to adapt to any owner requests.
“Simone was friendly and communicated quickly on a last minute booking. She walked our golden retriever for an hour around our neighborhood and got him very tired, which is exactly what we wanted. She sent a couple of pictures of the walk too. We would definitely call Simone again in the future. 😊”

“Really glad to have found Caleb — our dogs can be a handful but they seem to like him and it is great to have someone we can trust to come into the house and walk them when I leave town on business. Very responsible, friendly, good communication.”

About: I love pets of all kinds. I have two dogs of my own & puppy raise for a guide dog school. I have fostered and volunteered for both rescues and shelters so I get experience with dogs of all ages and breeds. I also have experience with cat & kitten fosters. I have experience with training and dogs with medical conditions requiring treatment. I’m comfortable with dogs that pull, have leash reactivity, anxiety, and large strong breeds(but I love to help your smaller critters too.) I can’t wait to make friends with your pets. Pet care is my primary job. I am able to be present in your home with your pets for sittings but I do sometimes leave for other walks if I have other services scheduled. For walks I use two points of attachment to both my wrist and leash belt to help keep dogs extra secure. I have a LOT of experience walking multiple dogs at once and extremely strong dogs as well. I am very careful when entering the home to place my foot in first and block any escape artists. I have never had a pet escape. My yard is secured with a large brick wall. I have two friendly dogs that are used to all breeds from our foster experience. I also have experience and space to keep your pet in a separated area if your pet would rather not play with others.

About: I am a lifelong dog lover and personally have 10 dogs of my own. While my experience of taking care of dogs comes from a lifetime of hands-on, daily care rather than formal jobs in the pet care field, I know exactly how to handle, entertain, and love your furry family members as if they were my own. Hi there! I am a lifelong dog lover dedicated to giving your pets the ultimate care, playtime, and affection. I am a full time dog walker and I have an open flexible schedule! I believe creating a safe, fun, and cozy environment for pets is necessary so taking the right measures to ensure all of those are met is my mission while taking care of your fur baby!
About: I’m reliable, detail oriented and will treat your pets like my own! I provide very consistent communication and updates. I match each puppers energy whether that’s being chill or active play. I am currently a part time retail worker, graduating high school this year! I gravitate naturally towards animals and enjoy spending time taking care of them. I volunteer at shelters that help rescue and rehome strays. I care for pets in their own home by sticking closely to their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I treat your space with respect and will always send frequent updates/keep in close communication with you!
About: IMPORTANT: I only charge by the night, not how many pets you have. When I had to get MY dogs boarded, I was shocked at the cost of having multiple pets or getting them boarded at the vet. OMG!! So I vowed not to do that to other people LOL Usually it's $60 a night regardless of 1 pet or 3. If we get beyond that I would probably have to tack on some additional charges. For now I don't charge a holiday fee but once everyone in town wants me on the same day, hey, supply and demand baby! :-) I've had animals every year of my life since teenager, over 40 years. I've never been without at least one pet. My daughter works with me. We call her the "cat whisperer". She has an uncanny ability to gain an animal's trust. At the last customer we visited, they were shocked when she got the neighbors cat to come to her. They said they've seen anything like it, that the cat NEVER went to anyone other than it's owners. Normally we stay at your place 24/7 and between the two of us can provide around the clock care for your loved ones. I don't leave animals alone unless absolutely necessary and hate to put them in cages even more. So when their owners are away, I like to create as much of a comfortable and non-stressful experience as possible. In the future we will have a professional boarding facility but for now we can do pet sitting in your home or dog walking. I plan to enroll in animal CPR and first aid and am contemplating taking some dog and cat training courses that I have found. I have a no kill animal shelter. We currently have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I'm looking for some land to keep them at and that will be the beginning of my no-kill shelter facility. I plan to take in cats, dogs, horses and who knows what else? I can't stand to see an animal not have a family, a home. Our animals have all been strays or we adopted them. No pet store animals. There are enough strays without needing to go to a pet store. Strays usually end up being the best pets in the long run. We definitely have some characters! I'm currently unemployed (over a year) so I have all the time in the world to monitor the pets. The kids are home-schooled so they will also be around 24/7 to assist as well. The schedule is usually dictated by the owner as everyone has their own routine(s). Boarding in our home may not work right now but in your home works, we provide 24/7 around the clock attention for your pets, or we can just pop in a few times a day if you prefer. I can board pets in my home. I will just have to separate them from my pets to avoid any issues. They are all vaccinated and attended to regularly. Once we get our "real" facility, we will be able to properly board your pets. I'm hoping by Fall/Autumn, depends on my employment situation.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
