About: Hello! I am Woody’s Owner ( 2 yo, m, Aussie, 55 lbs) and you got a friend in me! I am communicative, positive, and flexible with your needs. I am high energy, loving, and helpful. Here’s a little about my pet experience: I have volunteered at animal shelters since I was fifteen years old. I have experience with reptiles, birds, cats, and dogs. I enjoy backpacking, hiking, trail walks, and simply crocheting at home with the tv on. I like to watch the next Netflix drama hit, obviously. I have activities to do with high energy dogs and even low energy ones. See you’ve got a friend in me. I’ve got you through the highs and lows. I have open availability most of the week. I am open to any routines owners would like me to continue for their pets. This can be related to food, exercise, medication, and so on. My dog is kennel trained, so he can be separated from any other dogs I’m sitting if the dog I am sitting is not socialized. However, my dog is socialized and will be happy to have a playmate. I can take your pet out as often as you require and I can transport dogs to the dog park if that is okay. I also have extra feeding and water bowls, as well as toys and treats for any dog I am sitting. I also have a fenced yard.

Rachel was absolutely amazing from start to finish! She was very prompt with her response to my initial query, quickly scheduled a meet and greet, and came prepared with questions. She is very professional, reliable, and absolutely loves animals. Buster had a great time with Rachel! She stayed with him for three days and I came home to a spotless home and a happy dog. She reviewed all the instructions in depth and consistently provided me with updates and cute little videos of Buster. I will absolutely be using Rachel again in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend her to others.

About: I’ll love your pets as deeply as I love my own🐶💕 •Lifelong dog owner, with experience as a trainer, wrangler, pet sitter, foster, & caregiver. Worked in dog boarding facilities & with private pet owners, while volunteering at shelters, rescues, ranches, and stables. • Home 24/7 – Your pet will always be in my care and never left wondering where I am. • Single story home with a secure yard for safe play and relaxation. • Two friendly dogs of my own who love making new friends & can provide great companionship if your pup enjoys socializing. (can be definitely separated, if needed) • Experienced with animals of all sizes, ages, personalities, puppies, seniors, and those with special needs. My animals have always come first.. they eat before I do, every single time. Their happiness, safety, and comfort are my top priorities. Working with animals has taught me patience, situational awareness, & how to understand the quiet, nonverbal ways they communicate. I believe every pet deserves to feel loved, safe, and understood while their family is away. I would be honored to earn your trust, care for your furry family member like my own, and hopefully become their new best friend. This is more than just a “hustle” to me, it’s my passion. 🥰 -I work from home, and have a very flexible schedule to attend to your dog's needs. - My home is completely fenced in - safe for your dog to roam and run around supervised. -Can easily crate or separate the dogs if needed. - Neighborhood is safe and dog-friendly - No kids or cats in my home - Have my A/C on constantly (necessary with the summer heat!) - Usually only book 1 client at a time to ensure I give your dog the best attention. I have a fully fenced yard, and two very friendly dogs. If needed, my pups definitely can be separated, or crated. In my client's home, I follow every rule and expectation they imply. I take extra precautions being in the client's home, as I dont want anything to happen to any of their stuff or their furbaby.

Eliana took great care of our babies and our home! We felt confident leaving them in her care based on her calm, kind demeanor and the insightful questions she asked during the meet and greet, which showed her knowledge and intuition for animal behavior. She kept in great contact and was even a great sport about some circuit breaker issues that popped up while we were away. Reliable, responsive, and very sweet with our precious pets!

About: It's been my honor to have fostered and rescued many dogs and cats over the years. Depending on the season, I can board dogs at my comfy house with a large fenced yard to explore, lots of grass for playing, and a safe suburban neighborhood for walks. I value new places and experiences so I enjoy hanging out with critters in their own home environment too, so I do pet sitting throughout the states and abroad! I’ll keep your pets, plants, and your home safe, clean, and pampered! I serve just one dog family at a time, so I can give lots of one-on-one attention. Additional fees may apply for special services. We ask that our visiting pups be friendly and housebroken; up to 30 pounds. Larger dogs may be an option depending on temperament, training, and availability. Happily, I don't have typical work commitments. I can go wherever and whenever! I recently left a teaching career and it's nice to live without a set schedule! I have a reliable car so I can be there when you need me! I like to follow you and your pet's routine. I'll make sure they feel safe, have fun, and get lots of love and attention. Whenever possible we want to use their familiar blanket, bed, or crate. I'm a responsible homeowner myself so I know how to care of your home, your yard, or anything else that comes up!

About: I’ve sat for many different dogs since I was 13. Family and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and apply any needed medications to their dogs. I’ve looked after small Chihuahuas to big Rottweilers, from ages 13 and under. I’m currently taking community college courses on Mondays and Wednesday after 4:00 pm. I’m available all day on weekends and weekdays to look after your amazing dogs! I think it’s best that a dog stay in their own environment so they can feel more comfortable. I will follow the rules you give about your house and pets to make sure they feel safe and your house stays clean and secure.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Running Springs

Alexandria went so above and beyond during this stay at our house for 6 days. She cared for our older cat who did not give her much in return and yet Alexandria persisted with love and sweetness and companionship. Last time I left the cat for many days under another persons care, my cat lost a significant percent of her body weight out of stress. But with Ali, I came home to a fat, happy cat!!! Ali cleaned my house before she left, did laundry, and took the garbage for the week with her when she left. I was quite nervous to trust a stranger and the Rover app to vet someone to live in my home for 6 days. But all my doubts and worries were a waste of energy because Ali was so very responsible, lovely, communicative, and she took care of the house and cat in unexpected and very thoughtful ways. Can’t say enough positive things about Ali. Thank you Alexandria!!!!

Alexandria and her boyfriend are really sweet. One of our dogs is typically fearful of men, but she warmed up to him immediately. They were both very attentive and clearly knowledgeable about dog behavior and nutrition. We felt very comfortable leaving our girls in their care.

FAQs for House Sitting - Running Springs

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Running Springs on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,443 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Running Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Running Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Running Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Running Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Running Springs. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
