About: Growing up in South Africa, going on safari was a significant part of my culture, and my love for animals has been ingrained in me from a young age. After the loss of my beloved 20-year-old cat, I found joy in walking and playing with a neighbor's Husky, helping to fill that void. Currently, I don't have any pets of my own, so your furry friend will be my top priority and cherished companion until you return. I moved to the mountains five years ago and work primarily from home, allowing me to provide plenty of attention and care. I am very hands-on, with a wealth of love to give, and I have a natural knack for connecting with animals. My cat used to snuggle with me every night, and I can't wait to welcome more little fur-balls into my life to cuddle. My standard nightly rate includes up to 2 pets. In addition to my passion for animals, I have completed a cat and dog CPR certification course through the Red Cross, ensuring that I am prepared for unexpected situations that may arise. I also hold my own liability insurance underwritten by Lloyds of London, separate from Rover's insurance, giving you peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Furthermore, I have successfully passed an enhanced background check by a third-party provider. Animals are my passion, and I feel incredibly grateful to live in the mountains, surrounded by all the beautiful wildlife. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member/s! Pets need love, security and re-assurance when their human parents are on vacation. That is why I prefer to house sit. I can also just drop in for feedings and walks if you are more comfortable with that. I will treat your fur babies with love and respect and give them lots of play and cuddle time! Your wish is my command and I will follow any special instructions or routines you may have.

About: I love hiking, running, walking with a companion, I don't mind staying home or walking while holding your elderly dog. Ive owned dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, reptiles and amphibians my entire life, i am currently getting my BA in health science so i can become a Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine. Animals are my passion. I have certs in pet psychology and dog training. I have experience with young healthy dogs as well as older dogs with medical needs including diabetes. I have adopted elderly dogs to make sure they have a home for the time they have left as well as younger dogs one having allergies, seizures, blindness and diabetes. Being able to help you and your pets stay healthy and happy is my goal. If you have other animals besides cats and dogs I do watch them as well or I can go to your home to care for them.

About: Your pup will always be in my company, since I’m always at home. Lots of outside time and walks through my neighborhood’s local forest trail. Your dog(s) will have their own space in my kitchen, separate from my dog’s personal space. I am a responsible homeschooling mother of an easy-going, 6 year old daughter ( she loves animals). I am a ‘Stay at Home’ Mom, currently homeschooling my 6 year old daughter through a fantastic charter school. I make my own schedule and can easily accommodate your pet’s schedule into my own. My daughter is very well-behaved, with an easy going disposition, which makes animals love her. My husband also loves all animals, but will not be care-taking for your animals, as he is works full time. I will be the full-time caretaker of your beloved fur-friends. I have 2 portions to my property . One side is fenced on a hillside with a small astro-turfed area for potty breaks. The other side is open with a small water fall and full Astro turf. This gives dogs lots of time outside. I will also keep your dog in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time cooking and teaching my daughter kindergarten + computer work at the kitchen table. Your pup will also enjoy the walks around the neighborhood, which includes a lot of trees and nature.

About: I have a lot of experience under my belt, but also formal schooling. I have received a bachelors degree in animal science and just recently finished up my masters degree. Every since I could remember I was caring for dogs, cats, goats, pigs, donkeys, lizards, hamsters, fish, and emus! Yes, even emus! I have taught children at a farm animal kids camp, worked at multiple cat/dog shelters and have experience dealing with larger dog breeds. I will always work around animals, and want to provide pet owners with a piece of mind when leaving your furry family members in my care. I have had my fair share of animals and I completly understand the stress that comes with leaving them, keeping them healthy, and keeping them happy! I am very flexible so if you have special requests please ask away and I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as I can! My number one priority is your animals and their safety. I constantly watch out for hazardous objects and choking prevention! I have an extremely flexible job that allows me to wiggle around work hours, with this I am able to choose time frames that work best to my schedule. Luckily for me, this compounds with Rover bookings quite nicely! At this time, I am no longer offering any boarding services in my own home environment. Check back at a later date for any updates!

Calvin can be a bit anxious but took to Karina right away. It was comforting to know that we could count on her to take Calvin out at the prescribed times and didn't have to worry. This was Calvin's first time with a dog walker (he used to go to a pet boarding facility) and we felt he would be more comfortable staying in his own home - with Karina's help, that turned out to be just the right thing to do! I am open to drop-in visits for potty breaks & cuddles, playtime, & walks around the neighborhood. I have a genuine love and appreciation for all pets and understand the responsibility of caring for your fur babies. I can promise you that I will love on them as if they were my own! Currently, I work part-time from home and set my own hours, so I am hopeful & excited to fit some pet care into my routine! Because I have my own babies at home, I will not be providing pet care in my home at this time. However, at client's homes I typically will let your pet out to go potty, play with them & give cuddles and treats (if allowed).

About: I have taken care of pets since I was a child. I grew up with 5 dogs, 9 cats, and several small animals. I have experience taking care of pets of all ages, puppy to elder! Now at the age of 24, I have a dog and a snake that I look after. My family relies on me to feed, bathe, walk, and care for our pets. I have a strong love for animals, your pets will be in great hands! ~My Schedule~ It has become a daily thing for me. Having to walk my dog and take care of my snake is a weekly duty that has worked it's way in-between my morning yoga and breakfast. ~Creating a Safe Environment~ I walk my dog, clean up after her, share the love when I can, feed her, and bathe her. I clean my snake's cage, feed him, and tend to his needs. He has regular vet visits.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and had dogs of my own throughout the past 40 years. I treat all dogs and cats as if they are my own and am affectionate, kind, and playful. I work for myself as a handyman throughout the San Bernardino mountains and can set my own schedule. I’m currently training to be a dog trainer as well. It’s important animals feel safe and secure in their environment and the care taker is available to them on the animals timeline. I’m incredibly patient and kind and make a concerted effort to gain their trust as well. Ensuring they always have food and water, get ample bathroom breaks, and have access at all times to their creatures of comfort such as toys and bed. I’m very tall, and as a result often get on the ground or at the level of the animal to see them at their level. I walk quietly, I don’t slam doors, don’t smoke or consume alcohol that could be disruptive to their senses, and am highly aware of their need for affection, play time, or being left alone.

About: Hello my furry friend lovers!! I have cared for many different kinds of animals in my life, some of which include dogs,cats,birds,mice,rabbits,guinea pigs,fish,snakes,goats,chickens and now pot belly pigs. We love making homemade treats in our house so I am currently taking some pet nutrition classes to safely make special dietary treats. I am comfortable with all ages and sizes. I would be more than happy to meet you before any final decisions are made so that we can discuss everything there is to know about your pet. I have experience with different illnesses and medications from working with a rescue where I adopted my own angel with a neurological disorder. We absolutely adore pets and I can promise you that you and your baby will be treated like family. I am a stay at home wife that is taking pet nutrition and business classes so I could someday open my own pet boutique where everything is homemade. I promise no potty breaks will be missed and your baby gets all the love and cuddles they can handle. 😊 We have dogs, cats and pot belly pigs for your pet to play with in our fenced yard but we also have big crates for separation if needed. Your baby will be allowed on our furniture to sleep and get cuddles unless you say otherwise lol we do love our snuggles.

About: Hii! My name is ileanna, and I have been taking care of dogs for about 6 years now. Growing up, my neighbors would trust me to feed, clean, walk, cuddle, and give medications to their dogs. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs that required me to physically pick them up in order for them to move due to their mobility issues. I don't shy away from difficult tasks such as those. I have experience training puppies of all breeds, from little Poodles to German Shepherds. I am currently a student at a community college, but I am taking all of my classes online. Therefore, I am free Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I am very flexible regarding my hours. I am very attentive and will not take my eyes off the dogs I care for unless they are in a protected safe space like the inside of their home. Depending on how much the pet drinks, I will refill the water at least 3 times a day. If I am provided with a list of instructions, I will follow it to a tee, and of course, I never get tired of playing with them, or turn away a good cuddle!

About: Hi! I'm Aileen, a 20-year-old who's always had a special place in my heart for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter in my neighborhood, and I've spent many hours caring for and bonding with both. I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I helped with feeding, socializing, and walking the dogs, and I've fostered a few kittens, too. I'd like to think that i'm a calm and gentle person, friendly but a little reserved, so I tend to connect really well with animals. About: Hello, I’ve walked dogs for two years. Friends and neighbors trusted me to make sure their pets get their daily walk and food. I fostered a dog for 6 months and have a cat named Naomi. Fun fact I rescued my cat as a kitten that was found in my backyard. Originally thought it was a girl but Naomi is a boy and the name has stayed! I took Sugar after one of my fathers friends was about to sender her. She is smart and I have trained her to be friendly with other dogs as she did not socialize before she met my family. Having a half lab half German shepherd means you have to have constant walks and high energy but it also keeps me in shape to walk and play with your furry family members. Currently I have open availability during the summer. During the school year I work as an avid tutor/ substitute teacher for FCPS. I’m also a student at Marymount university! I study accounting and finance. Classes are online and at night. I always check gates, fences, and doors before I enter and leave houses. It helps make sure that everything is secure. I like to have contact to make sure I know how I can enter the house and where to park. As well as know where the pets food, water, leash, toys, and bags are. I will update and send pictures to make sure you know your pet is in good hands.
