“This was our first time having a dog sitter in our house and melanie was great! Our dogs loved her and had no anxiety during or after our trip, which was a nice break from the stress they have at the dog kennel. She took our german shepherd outside to play in the snow storm almost every hour during the day and played with our Chorkie inside so she was happy as well. We came home to happy dogs and they were honestly kind of upset that we didn't continue giving them the 24/7 attention that melanie did! Definitely recommend and will use again!”

About: I've had pets my whole life. I grew up with several dogs, and I raised 3 cats on my own as a teenager. Throughout my childhood I saw and helped all walks of life from puppy births to medications for various health conditions. When I met my husband as an adult, we came together to raise his dog and my cats. From puppies/kittens to senior and end of life care, we built our family with our pets. We currently have 3 cats, with a senior one that requires daily medical care. With my background, I know how important that pets are treated as family, as I have seen ours as children. I currently am managing a small business, but I only sell on weekends every once in a while for markets and conventions, so I have a large amount of flexibility to help on your time. I want to provide a comfortable and safe environment for everyone ultimately. For your pet, I try to gage what their personalities and preferences are to create a comforting and safe space for them when I enter their home. For the owner, I want to provide open and consistent communication, as I know from my own experiences how important updates can be when I'm feeling anxious about being away from my cats.

She has worked with two different rescue groups and an animal grooming service. She has babysitted (because let's be real - they are our babies), animals for several friends, neighbors and even an old boss when they have gone on vacation. About: I am athletic, nurturing and patient. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for over 15 beloved years and I look forward to taking care of your fuzzy friends. I work from home so having pets gives me the opportunity to go out for a walk and get exercise myself. I can board dogs for the night. I have a spare crate available if your dog prefers it, whereas I usually have dog beds in every room that my dog likes to use.

About: I not only grew up with dogs, cats, goats, chickens and other farm animals but I have cared for numerous other small and large animals. I have studied extensively on service dog training and canine diets- you could say I am passionate about canine care. No dog is too difficult to train and I not only care for animals but love to engage with them whether that is testing their memory skills or keeping them entertained with playtime. I usually go on long morning hikes, a mid day walk, and an evening hour long walk. My flexible and remote work allows for me to care for additional pets. I enjoy caring for animals in addition to my own dog as my dog loves having company over. Providing attention and care for your pet is of utmost important. I know the importance of getting updates and photos of our loved dogs so we would make sure to do that.
