“Tony was excellent. We were out of town for 11 days, he sent us updates and photos. He is an amazing communicator. Our flight canceled coming home and I had my sister go pick up the dogs, she said that the dogs were so calm and happy. He also left my house spotless. I couldn't be more happy with Tony's services. We will be going out of town a few more times this year, Tony will be our FIRST choice, nd hopefully only choice. We couldn't be more happy with the respect and love he gave to our home and our dogs. Thanks Again Tony.”

About: I prioritize clear, timely communication with owners and provide honest updates, photos, and notes after each visit. I have taken care of several different pets such as cats and dogs. I will always ensure the best care for the pets under my supervision. I can also keep up with high energy pets, but also provide calm energy for the pets who like to just hang around. I am currently working part time and will be attending medical school starting in the fall. My weekends are almost always free and can frequently provide overnight care during the week. I will ensure to provide clear and frequent communication with host when taking care of your pets in your home or when visiting. Trust is a priority to me when taking care of your pets so I will ensure it is earned from both your pets and from yourself.

“Aileen was so good with my dogs. She sent lots of update photos and kept in touch. My dogs are on the shy side but they warmed up to her very fast. She is so sweet and my dogs loved her will definitely be booking whenever they need a sitter!”

I also use my animal science knowledge from college as I am an animal science student.

About: I’ve had dogs growing up big and small. I currently have 3 cats named Mylo, Mateo, and Madonna . I keep everything tidy and love to play with animals :) Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and can dedicate my schedule to providing attention, exercise, and companionship. I am able to plan my day around walks, feedings, playtime, and making sure each pet feels comfortable, loved, and cared for. Cats always hide in weird places so when I take note on their favorite spots and always have an eye on them. I’ll always have your pet by my side! I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide patience, supervision, and lots of affection.
About: Hello, I’ve walked dogs for two years. Friends and neighbors trusted me to make sure their pets get their daily walk and food. I fostered a dog for 6 months and have a cat named Naomi. Fun fact I rescued my cat as a kitten that was found in my backyard. Originally thought it was a girl but Naomi is a boy and the name has stayed! I took Sugar after one of my fathers friends was about to sender her. She is smart and I have trained her to be friendly with other dogs as she did not socialize before she met my family. Having a half lab half German shepherd means you have to have constant walks and high energy but it also keeps me in shape to walk and play with your furry family members. Currently I have open availability during the summer. During the school year I work as an avid tutor/ substitute teacher for FCPS. I’m also a student at Marymount university! I study accounting and finance. Classes are online and at night. I always check gates, fences, and doors before I enter and leave houses. It helps make sure that everything is secure. I like to have contact to make sure I know how I can enter the house and where to park. As well as know where the pets food, water, leash, toys, and bags are. I will update and send pictures to make sure you know your pet is in good hands.
“Celeste was amazing and made our vacation as stress free as possible. She took amazing care of our six fur kids. She sent status updates, photos and asked questions for things that arose during her stay. I would highly recommend Celeste should you need a sitter.”

“Eliana took great care of our babies and our home! We felt confident leaving them in her care based on her calm, kind demeanor and the insightful questions she asked during the meet and greet, which showed her knowledge and intuition for animal behavior. She kept in great contact and was even a great sport about some circuit breaker issues that popped up while we were away. Reliable, responsive, and very sweet with our precious pets!”

“Sarah took great care of our kitty and our home. Our cat can be skittish and anxious around new people, but she they immediately vibed so well! We could tell in our daily updates that she was having so much fun and bonding with Sarah.”

About: Hello, my name is Riley and I’ve been taking care of animals since a very young age. Since I was 6 years old I’ve been taking care of dogs and fish. Over my entire lifetime so far I’ve raised 7 dogs and helped take care of dozens more. I used to pet sit for someone who had 4 dogs and a cat I was a frequent pet sitter for her and was recommended to many more of her family. I’ve also taken care of livestock animals such as chickens, goats, and horses. I’ve raised 6 dozen chickens for a family member from the age of 9 years old. I've also helped care for the same family member’s 5 horses. In high school I was an FFA student for 4 years, a farmhand for that school specializing in goats and sheep for 2.5 years, and even took care of two of my own goats. I have worked with so many animals with so many needs and personalities so I have a plethora of experience outside of just species/breeds. I’ve dealt with animals who are young and hyper, old and mellow, anxious and wary, and such. I’ve helped dogs who were wary of people become great with others. I know how important it is to cater towards your animal’s personality and needs so they feel safe and loved around you. I have a very open schedule at the moment. I’m available for short notice appointments, any day, anytime, and anywhere. I’m also very flexible as well. I will make sure your pet stays out of where they shouldn’t be, make sure they’re supervised inside and outside, and I will make sure your pet stays out of danger. If there is any special needs or requirements such as a high energy dog needing playtime to avoid being destructive I’ll make sure your pup gets the playtime they need or if your animals need to be separated I’ll make sure to keep them apart. I’ll even make sure your animal gets the medication that they need. The animal’s safety and wellbeing is my #1 priority because I understand how important it is for owners and pet parents for their furry loved ones to be happy and well taken care of.
“Klarissa was absolutely wonderful. She kept in constant contact with us about our fur babies and kept us up to date on weird behaviors the pups may have been displaying. The house was clean and the pups were happy and healthy upon our return! She went above and beyond for our comfort and for our furry family members. We will deff be using her services again!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs, small and large ever since I was a kid. I am very trusted amongst family members when they need advice on their pets whether they are feeling okay or what they enjoy. I have watched over cats and dogs to either take them out to the bathroom, clean their puppy pads or change their litter. I can provide meals and bathroom breaks in a timely manner in order to satisfy furry friends! I know a lot about pets because of how much time I’ve spent over the years researching and learning pet behavior on what comforts or can discomfort them. I take pride in being a responsible pet owner/ caregiver because I know furry friends need just as much care as a child too! I’m currently in a college student looking for another fun job. I currently work a part time, so my schedule is often switched and random so I wouldn’t say that I can set a specific schedule for pet caregiving days but I do get my schedule 2 weeks in advance so I am always open to arrange meetings/ appointments those days! I clean up after every mess they make. I make sure to keep a steady schedule for meals. I make sure to brush and clean them as needed. And I always make sure they’re comfortable whether it be to play or relax.

About: Although I dont have any pets myself, I have had plenty experience working and taking care of cats and dogs. I am more than qualified to help because I am patient, and passionate about caring for pets. I have a flexible schedule I usually work weekends part time at a restaurant so I have the time to be able to walk or feed any cat or dog any day of the week. I dont have any pets myself so that would give me the time to be able to help take care of others. It depends on the standards of the owner, with dogs its important to walk them with a secure leash and make sure to let them walk around and sniff before doing their bussiness, I will always pick up after them to ensure a clean neighborhood. With cats and dogs you want to make sure to open the door slowly when walking inside and keep them indoors so they are safe.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Arrowhead Springs
We had a wonderful experience with our in-home pet sitter. They took excellent care of our dog, providing plenty of attention, affection, and reliable care while we were away. It was such a relief knowing our dog could stay comfortable in their own environment. We also returned to a spotless home, which was an unexpected but greatly appreciated bonus. Professional, trustworthy, communicative, and genuinely caring—we would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional pet care and will happily book with them again.
Jennifer was very responsive and attentive to detail. She was able to provide all the necessary compassion and needs for my 4 legged family members to feel comfortable for an at home overnight stay. I would both recocomend her to new clients and look forward to having her back. Thanks! 🙂

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Arrowhead Springs on Rover is $69.36 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,011 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Arrowhead Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Arrowhead Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Arrowhead Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arrowhead Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Arrowhead Springs. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
