About: Growing up, I walked and dog-sat for my friends and family. I also provided dog-walking services to residents in my neighborhood, occasionally helping out with training exercises. I'm a full-time student with availability in the evenings and on the weekends. I also occasionally have time in the middle of the day, depending on the booking time and my work schedule. I'm very conscientious, and I abide by the concept of leaving a place cleaner than how I found it. This means establishing clear locational boundaries and ensuring that the pet's safety takes priority, but also making sure that your home stays clean.

At home, I help care for a Pitbull Mix and a large Australian Shepherd, both weighing around 75 lbs. I am confident in my ability to understand their body language and handle them effectively. Growing up with dogs, barn cats, and horses has equipped me with a diverse skill set when it comes to animal care! I have experience administering medicine, cleaning up accidents, managing reactive dogs, and caring for animals of all ages. For years, I have been doing drop-in visits and overnight stays caring for dogs, cats, and even goats! I’m organized, reliable, responsible, and adaptable to your pet’s specific needs. For the Fall 2026 semester, I am consistently busy Tuesdays and Thursdays midday and for a few hours in the evenings, but am available in the mornings and every other day of the week. About: My name is Kailyn, and I cannot wait to get to know your pet! Having grown up with 3 dogs and 2 cats throughout my childhood, I have been grown up to be a huge animal lover. As an adult, I am lucky to be a cat mama to two beautiful boys, Tito and Cosmo, that I found as strays and have raised from ~6 weeks old. I have 7 years of experience in dog and cat care outside of my home, including puppy, kitten, and senior care, as well as pets that are a bit more anxious (or spicy!) than others. I am convinced that there isn't an animal on this planet that I can't win over. I am well-versed in understanding cues and body language and take pride in my ability to earn an animal's trust through slow and thoughful first interactions. My sister, Avantae, and I also co-own a pet care business and have over 15 years of combined petsitting experience, along with over 10 years of veterinary experience that Avantae brings to the table. Booking with me will always guarantee that you have a relaxing travel experience knowing that your fur baby is in loving and caring hands. Who knows, your pet might have a new best friend by the time you return! Pet care is currently my full time job outside of Rover as well. I have full flexibility to accommodate your pets daytime needs like midday potty breaks, medication administration, etc., as well as plenty of time together in the mornings and evenings. My weekends are typically very relaxed, giving your pet and I extra time to spend getting to know each other. I keep your pet's day-to-day life as normal as possible while you are away. I will collect a detailed schedule prior to booking to make sure we are adhering to what your pet knows best.

I've been surrounded by animals my whole life, and have spent many years fostering, volunteering for rescue organizations and leading dog walks and hikes. When I'm not caring for your pet babies, I'm in the kitchen working as a private chef here in Central, VA! Because I'm self employed with a flexible schedule, your pet won't have to spend long hours alone. I focus on low-stress, individualized attention—no overcrowded group walks or forced interactions. I'm comfortable following strict feeding schedules, giving oral medications, keeping up with active routines, and showing lots of affection, kindness and respect to your animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness is always my top priority! I'm self employed as a private chef and make my own schedule, so I have the time and flexibility to accommodate your pet needs! About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.

About: I have had pets in my house my whole life - dogs, cats, chickens, horses, etc. I am very comfortable with all animals and I LOVE spending time with them. My family and friends have trusted me to take care of their animals, and I am always up for the task! Additionally, my mom was a vet tech for decades, and I often helped her take care of our animals’ medical needs. I am petsitting on Rover while attending medical school at UVA. I have class 8-12 M-F, but my classes are often recorded and are only sometimes required. I do have required class 1-5pm on Thursdays, so if you need house sitting on Thursdays please keep that in mind. I would love to hang out with your pets and do some studying during down time :) I will not be taking your pets to my home, but I am happy to take care of them in their own! My biggest priority is keeping your animals safe and comfortable, which I feel is best accomplished in the place they call home.
