“Julie is a very kind and reliable dog sitter! She walked my dog Ivy every week this summer and boarded Ivy in her home for a weekend. She is very responsive to messages and provides detailed Rover card walk recaps. Ivy seems to love her time with her. Thank you, Julie!”

“Jordana was amazing! We have a 6 month old puppy and she took amazing care of her and went out of her way to help us feel confident leaving our puppy home. She is extremely accommodating and you can tell she adores animals. We will definitely be reaching out to her again when we have pet care needs!”

“Aiden is the best walking companion for our doggo! Amazing communication and also very accommodating when schedules change. Our dog had surgery and Aiden was so wonderful keeping him company, in addition to feeding him and giving him medication. We’re so grateful for Aiden’s help!”

About: I grew up with pets and have been dog and cat sitting since middle school for friends, family, and neighbors. In high school, my mom started doing Rover, and I loved coming home after school to a new friendly face every day! I’m happy to go on walks, cuddle on the couch, play in the yard, or simply hang out—whatever makes your pet happiest. I work full-time, but I’m happy to carve out time before work, during my lunch break, or promptly at 5 p.m. to give your pet some love and attention. If you work long hours, need a midday break for your pet, or need help on evenings or weekends, I’m flexible and happy to work around your schedule! I’m happy to follow any guidelines you provide to keep your pet comfortable and on their normal routine. I can accommodate walks of any length, carefully follow feeding and medication instructions, and pay close attention to your pet’s individual needs, quirks, and preferences. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away!
“Grace has been a God send. I am new to Rover, but after meeting her my anxiety lessened & then after the immediate updates & pictures I know Lula is in good hands. There aren't enough words to describe Grace & how much she is helping me. I highly recommend her!”

“Dakota was friendly, flexible, and reliable. Sam always enjoyed his time with Dakota. Dakota interspersed neighborhood walks & trips to the dog park with visits to Barnes & Noble and other places. We will use Dakota again without reservation and highly recommend him to care for your pet.”

“Abby was great. Came over the week before to meet my dogs. She came over on time to play with the dogs in the backyard (it was too hot for a mid-day walk). The dogs looked happy in the pics and were happy when we arrived back home!”

“I had surgery & needed an evening dogwalker for my 75 lb hound. Tracy agreed to the 2 weeks of walks & weekend afternoon extra walks. She’s been fantastic! I highly recommend her. She’s on time and great with my dog who is an enthusiastic fellow.”

“Lissette is the best, most reliable, most considerate, most thorough sitter of all time. I’d made a mistake in the booking and she caught it and helped me sort it out. I wouldn’t trust my dog with anyone else.”

About: Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a 21-year-old nursing student originally from South Carolina. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm raising and caring for many different animals, so caretaking has always come naturally to me. As of now, I have 4 dogs back at home and 1 pup currently residing with me. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with all types of animals, my reliability, and how much I truly love caring for them. I understand how important it is to find someone to trust with your pets. I'm very communicative, respectful of each pet's/owner's unique needs, and can confidently handle anything from a laid-back walk to giving medications or handling multiple pets simultaneously. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I'll treat your pup like family! Pet care is at the center of my daily life! Rover is my full-time job, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to the pets I care for. I am currently a nursing student in my third semester, but I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time to focus completely on your pet’s needs. I live near the college campus, surrounded by hiking trails and parks which is perfect for daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. Making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for is always my #1 priority. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, whether it’s relaxing at home, going for walks, playing in the dog park, or exploring nearby trails. In my home, your pet will also have the opportunity to socialize with my own friendly dog, who loves making new pup friends. I always keep a close eye on behavior and health to make sure they are happy and stress-free. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for while you’re away!
“I'm very thankful to have found Emil. I work in retail and consequently work almost every weekend. Emil walks my little chihuahua for me every Saturday and Sunday. He's very reliable and I never worry that he won't be able to make it. He also responds to any requests or questions very quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend Emil if you need someone to help care for your pups!”

“Christian was an amazing caregiver for our pup while we were gone. She's extremely thoughtful and thorough about getting to know each animal before beginning her time with them, and as a rescue owner I really appreciated that! Will definitely be using her again.”

About: I grew up in a house full of dogs in Nigeria, more than 20 over the years, and helped raise and train them from the day they were born. I taught basic commands, cared for newborn puppies, and handled everything from playful escape artists to protective mamas. Dogs have been part of my daily life for as long as I can remember. Now I’m a fourth-year at UVA, and since my apartment doesn’t allow pets, Rover lets me keep dogs in my life while giving owners reliable, attentive care. I treat every dog like one of my own because for most of my life, they were. I’m a fourth-year student at UVA with a flexible schedule. I’m available most early evenings, and weekends, and I keep my calendar updated weekly. If there’s a time you need but it’s blocked out, feel free to request anyway; I’m often able to accommodate. I live near Grounds, so I can easily do midday drop-ins and walks. Your home, your rules! I follow your existing routines and safety instructions exactly, keep doors and gates secured, always leash up for walks, and send photo updates every visit so you have total peace of mind
“Amy was a fantastic friend to our 10-year old Husky while we were out of town. She frequently went “above and beyond” to assure that She was calm and settled. Our reports were detailed and thoughtful. Additional, she was extremely responsive to us and our dog. We are grateful and recommend her as a thoughtful, caring pet partner!”

About: I have my own dog that I’ve been training since he was a puppy. I have experience potty training, giving oral medication and more. I grew up with dogs and have been pet sitting for friends and neighbors since I was in middle school. I have experience with large and small dogs as well as young and older dogs. I just graduated with a bachelors in biochemistry & Nutrition and Exercise at Virginia Tech. I’m now home living with my parents and have a very flexible schedule! I currently live in a house, there’s plenty of open grass, walking areas and even a fenced in back yard for any dog to run around in! I’m happy to assist you with your dog care needs in your own home as I know that’s where they’re often most comfortable!
