“Danielle was amazing! She gave my mom great peace of mind while we were away on our trip, taking care of a senior cat who was newly on oral and topical medication to help with digestive issues. She even brought in a couple of packages that were delivered while we were gone. We would definitely use her again!”

“Absolutely amazing service. I reached out on short notice and Lettie was amazing about getting back to me and doing a meeting with the dogs before my trip. The updates were great and Lettie really went above and beyond on this. I highly recommend Lettie to anyone who needs pet sitting.”

“I needed someone to check in on my cats every few days while I was away on a long trip. Samantha was so kind and did exactly that. She even stopped by beforehand to meet everyone and get a tour. I also loved the photos she shared with me from her visits, they were wonderful and very reassuring that everyone was doing okay.”
“Karlee is a great sitter! She’s super friendly and responsive to visits. She’s done a great job at doing house visits for my puppy to tire him out and keep him engaged when I’m busy. Would definitely recommend!”

“Julia did an amazing job taking care of our crabby tabby over the holidays. She was very communicative and even provided photos every day. Will definitely keep her min mind for future pet care!”

“Emily is the BEST! This was my first time using Rover and Emily popped up first. Which I’m so happy I clicked on her. She has helped me learn more about my Lucy. I can’t wait to book again!”

“Very communicative, sent us lots of photos of our fur babies, & very accommodating. Loved that she also was willing to do a meet & greet first. We would totally use Amy for her services again!”

“Cleopatra visited our cat Paisley on alternate days of our vacation. Paisley is very shy with new people, but she learns to trust visitors that feed her wet food, clean her box, and talk to her sweetly. Cleopatra sent us reports and photos of Paisley every visit. We could tell that the bond between Cleopatra and Paisley grew stronger with each visit. Paisley misses her family when they vanish so a good care giver is important. Cleopatra did a wonderful job of caring for Paisley, and we would hire her again.”

About: Hello everyone! My name is Paige and I am currently a student at UVA and part of the Virginia Polo Club where I help take care of our ponies and play polo! At home, I help care for a Pitbull Mix and a large Australian Shepherd, both weighing around 75 lbs. I am confident in my ability to understand their body language and handle them effectively. Growing up with dogs, barn cats, and horses has equipped me with a diverse skill set when it comes to animal care! I have experience administering medicine, cleaning up accidents, managing reactive dogs, and caring for animals of all ages. For years, I have been doing drop-in visits and overnight stays caring for dogs, cats, and even goats! I’m organized, reliable, responsible, and adaptable to your pet’s specific needs. For the Fall 2025 semester, I am consistently busy Tuesdays and Thursdays, but am available in the mornings and every other day of the week. If you have any concerns, questions, or clarifications, please feel free to reach out–I’m dedicated to ensuring the best care for you and your pet(s)! I’m currently a student at UVA but have a flexible schedule during the week and would love to help take care of your animals! I can do overnight stays everyday of the week. Unfortunately, I can’t board any pets where I’m living but am more than happy to come to you! Back at home we have 2 medium-large dogs that weigh in at 75 lbs that I can walk, crate, and otherwise manage. I’m able to notice changes in body language and what they mean. I also have experience feeding and giving medication to livestock and am comfortable dealing with larger animals.
“Megan has been amazing. My cats connected with her very well. Even my older cat who is standoffish with strangers sat on her lap. She came to my rescue when I needed her for another day and I appreciate her so much!”

“Ed did an amazing job watching my dog Jack for a Saturday and Sunday while me and my girlfriend were out of town. We started off with a Meet and Greet, where Ed was super attentive to Jack's schedule, taking note of his feeding and walking windows. Every visit Ed made sure to leave a nice little comment on how Jack was doing with pictures attached. Super easy booking, good communication, and a great job! I will definitely book with Ed again if I need a sitter. Highly recommend!”

“Josephine is excellent, very reliable and caring. She sent me detailed reports and photos every day, so I could relax knowing my dog and cat were in good hands while I was away.”

“Marty is so kind and responsive! My dog loved meeting her, and both of our cats, one of which is pretty shy, wanted to be her friend immediately :) Unfortunately, we had to cancel on Marty at the last minute because our dog got hurt and plans changed, but I will absolutely rebook her services soon!!”

Main-Starr Hill pet parents share their Rover experiences
Absolutely amazing service. I reached out on short notice and Lettie was amazing about getting back to me and doing a meeting with the dogs before my trip. The updates were great and Lettie really went above and beyond on this. I highly recommend Lettie to anyone who needs pet sitting.

Yana did an awesome job with our two very shy cats! They always hide from new people, but Yana took the time to find them during each visit and spend time at our house so they grew accustomed to her. By the end of the week, they were coming to her for treats and cuddles (they don't always warm up to everyone!). Yana was also an excellent communicator and shared lots of great photos, so we knew our pets were well and in good hands. When we got home, our kitties seemed relaxed and happy, and our house (including their feeding and litterbox areas) was very clean. Would definitely recommend Yana to other pet owners!

Nettie was very responsive throughout the booking process and routinely kept us updated on Toby. We loved the pictures that she'd send daily. Toby seemed to really enjoy having her come and visit. Toby has some past medical issues and this was our first time using Rover so we were worried but that quickly went away the first day that she visited him.

Mackenzie took amazing care of my cat, Ellie, while I was away at Christmas! She is detail-oriented and reliable, and most importantly, very caring. Ellie can be shy, but she warmed up easily to Mackenzie. I knew that my girlie was in very safe and capable hands.
