About: I’ve signed up for Rover in honor of my soul dog, Rascal, who crossed the rainbow bridge in June 2024. My grief seemed insurmountable and with encouragement and love I decided to sign up for Rover as a caregiver. Now, I am honored to share the love I would’ve given him, with your pets. Balancing pet care with a 9-to-5 work schedule requires careful planning, but it’s definitely achievable. My routine includes: • Morning Routine: I start my day earlier to ensure each pet receives attention, exercise, feeding, and any necessary care before I leave for work. This helps them stay comfortable and well-adjusted throughout the day. • Lunch Break Check-ins: If needed, I arrange to visit or take a break to check on them, particularly for animals that may need midday care or exercise. • Evening and Night Routine: After work, I dedicate quality time to their needs, ensuring they have adequate attention, playtime, and any evening feedings or grooming routines. • Weekend Care: I also make the most of my weekends, giving them extended exercise or activities to keep them mentally and physically engaged. About: I've taken care of cats my entire life and dogs since I was in high school. As a lifelong animal lover and horseback rider, I've learned to establish partnerships with animals. As a result, I've also learned how to pick up on subtle body language cues--it's taught me immense patience and has allowed me to bond with a diverse range of personalities. While my full time job can be demanding at times, I work mostly remotely and, for the most part, am able to step away from my laptop periodically. Plenty of time to check up on your baby or take them for a walk! As you've probably seen, I ride horses and spend a lot of my spare time at the barn where there are at three dogs, eight cats, and even some pigs and a goat. While it's a diverse range of personalities, I've loved learning about each animal's quirks and what goes into taking care of them, from cleaning up after them, to giving supplements, and everything in between!
