She was patient, kind, attentive and diligent in her pursuit of a friendship with Marvel, our 4-year old Frenchie. Marvel is a rescue who lived a very difficult life ahead of finding our family. Because of this, he is very distrusting of new people. Her generosity was overwhelming. As she realized his deference towards her would require more wooing. She committed to winning him over, even purchasing him a huge pack of his favorite toys– tennis balls. She even refused reimbursement. 10/10 I will book with Amika again and again!”

We took our dog on multiple meet and greets with different sitters before making a selection. He connected the best with Julie. About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). I’ve taken basic dog training classes and have worked with trainers over the years, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. I have volunteered at animal shelters and have fostered many dogs over the years. I've learned a lot about dog behavior through that experience. I have given cats and dogs oral medication and have administered insulin shots to dogs. I require at least a week notice for all NEW client boarding and doggy daycare requests to allow for a meet and greet. **during the fall semester (Aug 24-Dec 13), I am on campus for 8 hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Those days dogs get a 15 min break midday while I am away from my dog sitter. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.

“Andrea was amazing! Teddy can require special attention and treatment due to his epilepsy but Andrea immediately made us feel so comfortable about her watching Teddy. She sent pictures multiple times a day and Teddy truly seemed to enjoy his stay. We are more than happy with Andrea’s care for Teddy and would recommend her to anyone! We look forward to having her keep Teddy in the future !”
