“Alana has been amazing! I often foster dogs and she steps in willing to help with mid day walks with them whenever I need, and that’s on top of walking own dog! She follows directions perfectly and my dog (and foster dogs!) love her. It takes a village, especially as a solo dog mom, and I couldn’t do it without Alana! Looking forward to continuing to use her services!”

“Kennedy was amazing with our 2 chihuhua-mixes! She went above and beyond with her communication and care. Will definitely be reaching out again when we need someone to walk/care for our 2 pups.”

“Amanda was amazing! She was the first dog walker I ever booked on Rover, and she completely exceeded my expectations. She was so sweet and patient with my dog, Charlie, and even stayed with him for five minutes after the walk just to make sure he felt safe and comfortable before being left alone. It really meant a lot to me. I could tell she genuinely cared, and Charlie absolutely loved her. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and attentive!”

About: I am a professional cat lady as I am active in TNR feral colony control in the neighborhood so i have mostly cats as pets right now. I love dogs and love walking them and playing etc, and I can't wait to meet and care for yours. Any size or breed welcome. The app has me available until 10 but am unavailable past 6 pm. I am a seamstress by trade and set my own hours most weeks. I prefer mornings but if needed, I can fit in an evening visit. I am very mindful of tidy pet places and of pet and owner needs. From scooping poop to bagging poop, I do it all! I can water plants, feed fish and grab your mail for you while you are out of town complete with lots of pet pics!
“Shanon is a kind woman and we had such peace with her being in our home and taking care of Pebbles. She even brought our mail in and made sure Pebbles had plenty of water. I will definitely call on Shannon in the future. Thank you!”

“Genevieve was awesome! She was on time, quick to respond and pays attention to the details and little things that matter! She sent pictures and made Reese feel loved and safe! I hope we can have Genevieve back again!”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have a deep love for both dogs and cats. I’ve owned four dogs over the years and currently have three rescue pups of my own—including one foster “fail” (lesson learned: don’t foster puppies 😊). I’ve taken basic dog training classes and have worked with trainers over the years, so I’m comfortable handling different personalities, energy levels, and behaviors. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, care, and lots of love. I have volunteered at animal shelters and have fostered many dogs over the years. I've learned a lot about dog behavior through that experience. I have given cats and dogs oral medication and have administered insulin shots to dogs. I require at least a week notice for all NEW client boarding and doggy daycare requests to allow for a meet and greet. I work from home most of the time. I am usually not away from home for more than 4 hours. During the fall semester, I am away on T/R for about 8 hours a day. I have a large fenced yard and 3 dogs at home. Two of my dogs are seniors and one is almost 3 years old with lots of playful energy. I also have a large finished attic space that I use for doggy play, especially when it's super hot/cold outside.
About: I’ve cared for pets for many of my friends and family over the years, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m patient, dependable, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I’ll also be adopting a dog soon, so caring for your pet is a great opportunity for me to continue gaining hands-on experience while providing them with the love, attention, and care they deserve. I work from home Mondays and Fridays and I’m off weekends so I have four days to watch pets uninterrupted but I am flexible to do weekdays if folks don’t mind the dog roaming the house while I’m out I have a yard and live in a large gated community so I can walk dogs with no issue and I live across the street from west side park so they have plenty of space to roam.
“Hope, Thank you so much for walking Trixie, she absolutely loves seeing you. Thank you for your attentiveness, responsiveness, and flexibility. It’s truly been the best for us both and we hope to have you for many more walks to come! If you’re looking for a dog walker/sitter, Hope is your girl! Couldn’t ask for anyone better!”

“Natalia loves dogs! I could tell since the first day she met Elvis. She has been very responsible with Elvis Walking schedule, always on time, very communicative and very respectful when inside our house. I can tell Elvis loves his walks with her. Thank you so much Natalia for all your help with Elvis!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember—cats, and a very energetic Dalmatian who definitely kept life interesting. My love for pet care started early, and I began pet sitting around age 12 for both dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Since then, I’ve never really stopped. I’ve either had cats or dogs in my home my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Today, I share my home with my two pups—a 6-year-old Maltipoo and a 2-year-old Schnoodle—who keep me laughing, active, and constantly reminded of how unique every pet’s personality can be. I’m happiest when I’m around animals, and I treat every pet I care for like one of my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, snuggles, or just keeping their routine consistent and comfortable, I focus on making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously—while still bringing plenty of love, patience, and fun to every visit! Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I’m currently not working a traditional job, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I’m able to provide consistent attention, care, and companionship throughout the day, whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company and making sure they feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in your home, I focus on keeping them happy, safe, and comfortable in their familiar space. I follow your routine closely for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions so your pet feels secure and cared for. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and adjust my care to match—whether that means active play, calm companionship, or extra cuddles. I also treat your home with respect and make sure everything is left clean and as you left it. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for you, and care you can fully trust while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of animals for many years, and love spending time with them! I recognize that every pet has their own personality, needs, and schedules, and I am comfortable meeting them where they’re at. Whether that’s lots of playtime and long walks or more subtle play time and a quieter environment, I don't mind adapting! I would be more than happy to take them to the dog park, on walks, or play at home, and I will dedicate my time to making them feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. I am currently home full time and am available for drop-ins or house check-ins as needed! I am also pretty flexible and am happy to work with your scheduling needs. I base my care on you and your pet’s usual routine including schedules, preferred walk spots, etc. I like to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible by not disrupting what is familiar to them.
“Carolina is amazing! I really appreciated that she was available for a last minute drop in request, she was quick to respond and sent great photos!! I could tell Sam had a nice walk and that she treated him well. Would 100% recommend having her watch your pet.”

About: Hi! My name is Kaitlynn, and I am a program manager for an Atlanta based non-profit! I have served as a volunteer for Walton Animal Guild and foster mom for rescued dogs with a group based in Atlanta, Angels Among Us. I am stationed in the Atlanta/Westside area. My family has always had dogs, and we have experienced many breeds and sizes of pets. I am a kind, compassionate and loving individual, with a sincere appreciation of what dogs bring to humans. I am a pup momma and have a great deal of exposure to various breeds of dogs! I am a previous educator (both middle and high), so I have a great deal of patience and enjoy the company and presence of animals. I also have experience fostering higher needs dogs, so I understand that some dogs need much more than others. Why I love dog sitting We have had pets since I was an infant, but the love first began with our Sheltie, Sox, when I was 5. We have always had a dog in our home and we consider them members of our family. After the death of our long-time family member Chester in 2012, I decided I needed to have pets in my own apartment again, and began to foster for a rescue in Atlanta, Angels Among Us. My most recent foster was adopted into an amazing home in John's Creek with a wonderful and loving family and I miss him EVERY day. My first love of my very own into my home is my sweet Luna. We also have a little fur queen named Scarlet, who is feisty and energetic. I have done pet sitting for family members, friends, colleagues, and through Rover for several years and we have had a variety of size and breeds of dogs: sheltie, dachshunds, labs, corian terriers, west highland white terriers, bernese mountain dogs, pit bulls, hound mixes, swisser mixes, shih-tzu mixes, mutt angels and pit mixes. My experience administering medication I have experiences with administering medication in a pill form and on a tight schedule. A family friend had a very sweet epileptic border collie that has a strict schedule and a specific diet that we follow, so I am accustomed to "higher maintenance" dogs (we know they can't help it!). Luna also takes medication twice daily, so I'm pretty crafty at getting furbabes to take things they don't care for. Right now, I work mostly from home. My office is located less than two miles from where I live, so mid-day opportunities are perfect, as well as right after work (5PM-6PM) walks or drop ins. My schedule is relatively flexible. My goal is to take care of your pets how YOU take care of your pets. In our home, Luna is free to roam (with gates up to both bedrooms due to anxious licking), and our small one gets crated. We pick out TV shows or movies for them to watch during the day while we are gone, or put on some classical music. We make sure the home is well-lit if we'll be gone after dark.Scarlet, our smallest, is an incredibly picky eater, so I don't mind specifics around meal times or medications, either. As long as I have clear instruction, I'm happy to meet the needs of your babes.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockdale
Shannon has been our regular weekly dog walker for over a year now and is absolutely incredible. Completely reliable, highly communicative, and meticulous about ensuring the pups get their meds. Our girls absolutely love her and her dependability means I can be flying around the country or downtown in a high stakes meeting with no worry that she'll complete a walk as scheduled or that our babies will receive absolutely stellar care. Could not possibly recommend more highly. A+++
Anika seriously goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! She was so sweet to my BIG and hyper Weimaraner! She gave him all the attention, took him to his favorite park, provided multiple videos and pics and she even crammed us in to a busy schedule last minute!!!! Will be reaching out to Anika first for all future walks!!! Made my day so much happier and easier!
