“Sam B is a delight to work with. She was totally at ease with my pups and they took to her immediately. She communicated with me every step of the way and sent me a few pictures to boot. I can comfortably recommend Sam for all your pet care needs. Phil K”

About: Growing up on a ranch, I cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, horses, and exotic animals—so very little surprises me! 😊 Pet sitting was actually my first neighborhood “business” as a kid, which tells you this has always been more passion than side gig. Being away from home for school these past few years, I’ve dearly missed caring for animals— so this is my way of staying connected to something I love. I’m a naturally curious person and take the time to learn each pet’s personality and routines so I can give them attentive, enriching care while you’re away. 😊 I’ll be working remotely for the foreseeable future, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit pet care naturally into my day. I can accommodate different feeding and walking schedules, playtime, medication, check-ins, and plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Since my work travels with me, I’m also flexible with longer stays and can be around much more than someone working outside the home. I know how important it is to trust someone not only with your pet, but with your home. I take both seriously and will follow your instructions and your pet’s usual routine closely. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, or energy and always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and secure. I’m also more than happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands while you’re away😊
“Brian took great care of my girl, Lemon! He made sure the plan for Lem was super clear beforehand, which I especially appreciated since the schedule I gave him to complement my friend's visit schedule was not perfectly regular, and he didn't miss a visit! He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”

“Suzanne is an excellent dog walker. She is pleasant, punctual and dependable for giving our dog a great walk no matter what the weather is. We would definitely hire her if we. need a dog walker in the future.”

“If you need a dog walker, look no further than Marina! I have been using her weekly for almost 4 years! She is kind, attentive, sweet, and both of my boys love her. My one Aussie gets so excited when the Rover app makes a pop sound when she arrives. All I have to do is say “Marina is here”, and he runs to the door with excitement! If there is one thing I am grateful for this Thanksgiving it’s Marina! Thank you!!!! 💐💐💐”

“Elisha was wonderful! She last minute was able to pick up our dog walk request and was quick to communicate with me to set up times that worked best for us both. From the many pictures she sent of our pup on her walk, I can tell that she was happy and tired after! 10/10 recommend and I would definitely have her walk my girl again!”

“Absolutely fantastic! Reliable, caring, and our pups adore her. Always on time, great communication, and she goes the extra mile—literally. Highly recommend to anyone who wants peace of mind and happy dogs!”

“First time ever hiring a dog walker to check in on my pet while I was away, now I feel silly for always boarding my dog. Elise was incredibly professional, caring, responsive, and punctual. Got back to me same day to schedule a pre-meet to make sure I was comfortable before reserving the booking, took good notes to learn about my and my pet's needs, then did exactly what she promised to do. Even immediately checked in with me on the correct course of action when something happened I hadn't anticipated. I can absolutely see why she as such a high rating and star status! Will definitely try to book with her for any future pet care needs!”

I am grateful for Casey in caring for my beloved Labrador. you can't go wrong with her care.”

“Maria really helped me out with my two dogs on very short notice. She was responsive and kind. Maria provided several pictures during the walks with realtime updates. I'd definitely trust her again with my dogs!”

“Curtis is a delightful young man. He is a loving and energetic dog walker and enjoys greeting and interacting with the cats when he comes by. Bonus: he’s a lovely conversationalist. I highly recommend Curtis.”

We are so happy that we found Alicia! She is timely, friendly, super professional, and a fantastic communicator during her time with our pup who became a fan of hers very quickly! We will definitely be using her services in the near future and would recommend her to everyone!

Erin was fabulous. She was attentive during the meet and greet, was flexible on trying different combinations of walking and yard time, and gave excellent feedback- which I was able to share with another Rover sitter who was helping on additional days during our trip. I especially like the map of the walk. That is very helpful to me as the dog owner to gauge the level of activity. I highly recommend Erin

Jackie has been great with our dog June! Our regular dog walker moved away last minute and we were scrambling to find someone to help us out. Jackie has been a godsend! She is reliable, proactive, responsive, and takes our dog for long walks! We would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for a dog walker :)

We are so glad we found Emily! She has been a consistent dog walker for our pup when we’re both working in the office. Our dog is a bit anxious, but she warmed up to Emily quickly and now loves when she sees her for her walks! Emily is responsive, punctual, friendly, and even sends us photos from her time with our pup. Highly, highly recommend Emily!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
