“Marwa and Casey are amazing! Marwa is detail oriented and ensured Beanie felt at home as much as possible. They supplied us with updates throughout the day and were very responsive all times of the day. They took care of Beanie very well, 1000% will be booking again!”

“Melissa was great with Lilly and very accommodating with our small change in the number of days that she was needed. She sent pictures so that I could see that my pup was getting along well with the other dogs that she had which I was worried about. It was clear that she loves dogs and had a good command of discipline them. I will use her again and recommend her to others. A big thank you!!”

“Steph took great care of Jill and kept us in the loop on the great time she was having with her two dogs. Jill was very happy and very tuckered out from a great couple days of playing when we picked her up.”

“I received a photo of my dog about 10 minutes after I dropped him off with Makhayla. He was already looking all comfy and cozy in a bed. That’s the fastest he has taken to a new home of all of the Rover people I have used. I had no doubts that he was in very good care and I won’t hesitate to have her watch him again.”
“Marissa is extremely caring and flexible and treats the dogs she watches like family! I consider her house to be a second home for my dog. Unlike a kennel I always know Marissa will be there to snuggle and play with the dogs and the dogs will get tons of time to play together.”

“Holly had a very nice stay with Barb, Mark and Charlie. They were very welcoming to her. She is looking forward to staying with them again. I felt very comfortable leaving her in their care.”

“Emily was a great option to board our dog with. She was very interactive and communicative. She sent us pictures regularly. She was very warm and welcoming, and made our dog feel at home from the beginning. We will definitely be boarding our dog with her again.”

“Halimah was a great sitter for my dog. Despite it being a longer stay, she took the time to meet with my dog and I, decide if we were a good fit, and reassured me of any concerns I may have while away (pictures/videos sent, very communicative). Zada is a great dog as well and I wish them the best of luck on future endeavors, a very nice pair!”

About: I have taken care of various friends and families cats over the years and have two family cats. I love playing with them and providing a friendly face for them. I have also taken care of friends and families puppies and young dogs as well. I always treat everyone’s animals as if they were my own and strive to make sure they feel safe and loved while they are with me. I’m currently working part time so I have time to watch and attend to your animals any time of day. I am also available for boarding and sittings at houses when needed. I have a fenced yard in a family friendly neighborhood with no other pets in my home. I can crate your dog if needed at my home for boardings and they will have a comfortable space to be in.
“Reynaldo was great! I was so happy to leave my dog with him, would definitely book again. It’s such a relief to find someone nearby who’s trustworthy. He sent regular picture updates and was super responsive throughout. Even when I was running late, he was understanding and communicated really well. Highly recommend!”

“Shruti did an awesome job taking care of our dog Nala while away on our honeymoon. She updated us and let us know how Nala was doing every day. Since we head back home pretty late, she did us the favor of dropping off Nala right at home before we arrived. It made such a big difference in our travel experience. I really appreciated her adaptability and flexibility. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Theresa did an amazing job with our Laceigh! We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for dog sitting! She is very attentive and kept us posted on all the fun Laceigh was having. We will definitely use her in the future.”

“Demetrius was an absolute God send. I had to extend my trip and my usual sitter was unavailable. It’s extremely nerve racking to leave your pup with someone new especially if you’re not there to acclimate them. Demetrius made the transition so smooth and put my mind at ease. He gave multiple updates and sent pictures/videos. My dog had the time of his life w long walks, treats and cuddles. Thank you again Demetrius”

“Amanda was wonderful! She took great care of our dog, Theo, for a week while we were on vacation. She was always available and kept us updated throughout our trip, including sending pictures of Theo, which we really appreciated. We can’t thank her enough for the communication, attention, and care she showed him while we were away. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Theo was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone they can trust to care for their pet!”

“Baaz LOVED Shakiyla, when we arrived to pick him up he was hanging out on her porch like he was apart of the neighborhood. She kept us updated with how he was doing and maintained his same routine/schedule as if he were home. She sent videos and reassured me Baaz would be ok after he was feeling a little homesick the first night. She was always in communication and incredibly friendly. I would def book Shakiyla again! Thank you so much!”

“Our little dog is older and has special needs. Lisa took good care of him and stepped up when he had a seizure. She kept in touch with the vet and with us and we returned 11 days later to a happy, healthy dog. She was flexible and quick to respond. I'm sure our little guy will be having sleepovers in the future with Lisa and Honey.”

“Extremely friendly and reliable. I felt completely comfortable leaving Reagan there. We had a bad experience where a different sitter took us off of the app and then ghosted us after we paid and 30 minutes before drop off so we are wary of the sitters now but Rich has always seemed completely professional and calm. Great person and Reagan was very happy on the way in and out :)”

“Sarah was so kind. I really felt great about Yani’s care with periodic pics and updates from Sarah. She showed really good care for Yani and I would certainly recommend!”

Katarzyna did a great job looking after my dog. I had to book her last minute and I’m glad I went with her. I got regular updates. She kept an eye on my dog when she became picky with eating and made sure she ate. She really looked after my dog like she was her own. After the meet and greet, I felt reassured that my dog would be safe and looked after with Katarzyna. I would definitely use her as a sitter for my dog again.

Jennifer took wonderful care of our anxious cavapoo for her first ever boarding at age 4. She sent me pictures and updates regularly and Rosie was in great shape when we picked her up. She was very flexible about drop off and pick up times, also. We will definitely be having her board Rosie again in future!

We felt so lucky to have found Amy on Rover! She was wonderful with our 4-month old puppy who LOVED playing with her dog as well. She was a great communicator and we received frequent photo updates while we were away for the week. We will definitely use Amy again next time we have to travel.

Our family had a fantastic experience with Cayleigh! Setting up everything was a breeze. Communication was always fast, professional and friendly. She was flexible with scheduling, and it was clear she loves dogs. I know my dog Lucy had a great time and was really well cared for because she usually acts like I've abandoned her when she's stayed with other people in the past--nervous and jumping all over me. She was completely chill like she had been on vacation. I highly recommend Cayleigh!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She was very polite and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. I really appreciated the frequent updates, especially the pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my dog was well cared for, and I’d be happy to book with her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Riderwood home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Riderwood.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Riderwood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
