I recently graduated with my master's from UMD and am looking for fulltime jobs either here in Baltimore or closer to DC, but I currently reside in the former and petsitting is my only job right now!

I am unable to watch clients' pets at my own home, however I am more than willing to go to clients' places to watch their fur babies. Before I leave a client's residence, I ensure that it looks the same if not cleaner than before I got there.

Please let me know of any special needs/behaviors/health issues that your dogs or cats have in advance. Anything you can think of - door scratching, reactivity, aggression, etc. I am very understanding and flexible and will accommodate your furbaby to the best of my ability! LGBTQ+ friendly :) Same day bookings are subject to an additional $20 last minute fee (new clients only). **I WILL NOT watch dogs that are not neutered, leash pullers or jumpers heavier than 50 lbs., and/or not potty trained.**

I love walking dogs around their neighborhood or playing with them in their house or yard! I also love giving kitties chin scritches or just hanging out with them in the same room if they're shy.

My favorite part about this job is getting to know your pets and treating them like my own! Each pet has their own unique personality and I love learning about their quirks and habits. I truly love animals and am so glad my schedule allows me to petsit! I had my first cat Smokie for 14 years and helped to take care of her since I was about 8. She lived with me at my college apartment for 2 years, so I was taking care of her pretty much independently. My family adopted Mango in September 2024, who we got a few months after Smokie crossed the rainbow bridge. I am comfortable administering medicine (orally) to both cats and dogs, as my cat had to take blood pressure medicine and my dog has been on medication before. Additionally, I have had my derpy husky Blu for the last 9 years and have taken great care of him. I have had several repeat weekly drop-in and housesitting clients in the past and actively have multiple clients who I housesit for regularly.

Karenna went above and beyond expectations- she agreed to meet and get to know my reactive dog who needs the time to get to know someone before being left alone. We schedule multiple drop ins prior to her house sitting and the weekend went very smoothly. Took great care of both our dogs and our home. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend Karenna, who took excellent care of our 2 large dogs and our elderly cat, including administering medication. Karenna consistently sent text and photo updates, which reassured us that all was well. Would definitely book again.
I would highly recommend Karenna! She immediately made my senior cat feel comfortable and loved. She was communicating with me throughout my trip and showed how much she cared.
Karenna did a great job house sitting for our golden retriever and a cat when we were away, she kept us updated with pictures every day and was very communicative. We found the house the way we left and our furry babies well taken care of. I will definitely book with her again!!
