“We are so happy that we found Alicia! She is timely, friendly, super professional, and a fantastic communicator during her time with our pup who became a fan of hers very quickly! We will definitely be using her services in the near future and would recommend her to everyone!”

About: Thank you for considering me. I’ll treat your dog as a member of my own family. I have experience with dogs who have medical or speacial limits. I have lived with dogs my whole life. I have experience with other pets such as cats, snakes, rabbits, lizards, and fish. I love sending you photo updates on your pet. I do understand that the pets decide whether or not to accept someone as a sitter. I hope to get to know your amazing pets, just as well as you do. Thank you. I have a very flexible schedule. I am currently investing myself in education, and preparation for an apprenticeship. Giving time to pet care would be a highlight to my day. Although this was originally created for sitting I am more than confident in walking your dog. I would love to know what training your dog may already have so that I can work with it, rather than against it. If your dog has no training, perhaps we could practice some walking skills together
“Sam was highly reliable, showing up on time or texting us if she thought she might be a little late. Our beagle mix can be challenging on a walk because of her tendency to stop and sniff so many inviting smells in the grass. Sam just took it in stride. She obviously has a lot of experience walking dogs.”

“Brian took great care of my girl, Lemon! He made sure the plan for Lem was super clear beforehand, which I especially appreciated since the schedule I gave him to complement my friend's visit schedule was not perfectly regular, and he didn't miss a visit! He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”

About: I have over 15 years of experience in pet care, starting from dog walking in my neighborhood as a kid to continuing petsitting and volunteering at the Humane Society. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I’m comfortable with both energetic pups and older dogs needing special care. I tailor my approach to each dog’s needs, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and happy. I work from 3:00–10:00 PM, which gives me plenty of availability during the day for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. I’m available before work, throughout the day, and after my shift, and I’m off every Tuesday through Thursday, giving me even more flexibility for walks, daycare, overnight stays, or extended visits. I also offer cat sitting and have experience caring for cats of all personalities, from playful and social to shy or senior cats, and I’m happy to accommodate special routines, medications, and individual care needs. My flexible schedule allows me to provide reliable, attentive care and make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have an extremely dog friendly neighborhood. Although I live in an apartment I live right next to multiple parks! Making it easy to take dogs on long or short walks!
“Christine is great with the dogs. I needed help because I had foot surgery and can’t walk them, and she walked them when my husband went on a business trip. The pups were so excited to see her each day! We would request Christine again in the future”

“My Zeus is so happy with Dimitri that when he arrives he grabs his leash and refuses to let us say hi! We are extremely happy with Dimitri he is on time and communicates very well with any changes or updates. I would highly recommend him just not on my day and time.”

I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, axolotls, you name it! I am able to accommodate all types of pets- senior pets, young energetic pets, social pets, nonsocial pets, etc. Shoot me a message! I work part time and have a very flexible schedule. I usually can be available, so feel free to reach out. Early mornings, late nights or just mid day and evening walks are all good! I am committed to giving your pet the best experience and to being as accommodating as I can. I have dealt with many types of pets, such as aggressive ones, hyperactive, shy, skiddish, etc.

About: My name is Bob, and I have been a dog owner for over 8 years, currently owning two energetic pups, Ellie and Watson! My wife works from home, so someone is almost always home, unless we all go ot in the evening! Our kids are 12 and over, and we all love spending time not only with our dogs(and cats!), but meeting new ones as well. Our rescue dogs, Ellie(18 month old female Australian Shepherd/Catahoula) and Watson(1 year old male Schnauzer/Terrier) enjoy spending time playing in the yard together when weather is nice, or horsing around together inside. They love socializing and playing at the dog park too, so having a 'play date' would be good fun for them! We have free access to water at all times, toys to play with, and healthy treats, if allowed by visiting pets' owners. Feedings for our dogs happen twice a day at 8 am and 5 pm; arrangements could be made regarding your pet's feeding needs, depending on time of day, and length of stay. Walks, playing, and lots of attention guaranteed! We can be flexible to meet your needs; please ask.
“Marina is very very good with dogs - and with dogs of all ages. At one point I had 5 dogs in my house and she was fantastic. She walks and trains or she plays with them when doing a drop in!”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and since I was 11 or 12 I spent years pet sitting for cats and dogs all around my neighborhood. I love animals so much, and I'm so excited to meet your babies and give them the love and care they deserve! I'm currently in school part time after getting my bachelors degree, so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to accomodate most requests - your pets comfort and safety are my top priorities! I do not offer services in my home, as my cat is not very friendly with other animals, but in my own home I have fully enclosed outdoor spaces for my cat, multiple litter boxes, high quality food, and endless toys and cat trees. My cat's health and wellbeing are the utmost importance to me, and I will bring that same level of care and attention to your pets, however their routines and environments differ from our own!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
