About: My name is Sarah and I'm a dog lover. I work full time as a nurse and on my days off I like to be active and go on walks or hikes. I'm excited for the weather to get warmer and for the flowers to start blooming. I love to throw the frisbee or playing tug-of-war. I am also happy to sit on the floor and watch TV or study while my new furry friend takes a nap. I have experience with overnight housesits and also cats if you ever need additional feline care. I currently have two cats of my own. I love to explore new neighborhoods and local parks on foot with a new furry companion. Message me with any questions that you may have!

“Jillian is so great with Taft! She always provides the best updates and pictures of him while I’m at work. Very grateful! Would recommend her to anyone in the PDX area.”

About: I have been taking care of friends, neighbors, and co-workers animals on and off since I was in middle school. If I put all of the time I've cared for animals together it would be about 10 years =^). I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, and I specialize in taking care of senior cats. I'm currently working four days a week at a popular local store, and I have time for pet care before and after my shifts on work days, and almost anytime during the three days that I'm off work each week. I'm happy to provide care for your fur babies in their own home, and I look forward to learning and then kindly leading their training, walking, and rest time routines.

“Christopher did a great job I would hire him again and again. I can tell when my dog has done a brisk walk or has had a stroll. Each time Christopher walked my dog she was tuckered out in the evening. He went above and beyond. Christopher had great communication and came on time.”

About: I’ve care for pets of all sizes and temperaments, bringing a happy, reliable presence that animals and their humans quickly trust. With hands-on experience in pet sitting, walking, I prioritize each pet’s routine and well-being as if I were their mom. I’m currently working part-time in a tech and good job so I have flexible schedules on both weekdays and weekends. Happy to help with taking care of your dearest family member! I have a Shiba Inu girl (3-year-old), nice and well-behaved, she loves furry friends and gets along with them well. Let’s have a quality pet time together!

About: I am an avid pet lover! As a pet owner with two cats and a dog, I am well versed in hands on animal care! I have a variety of professional experience with animal care at a cat cafe (Seattle Meowtropolitan), my university's biology department (caring for tortoises, iguanas, gila monsters, and cockroaches!), and as a veterinary assistant! These experiences have developed my understanding of animal behavior and communication and taught me so much about how to genuinely care and respect animals from all walks of life! These experiences have also genuinely taught me about how to care for animals that are high demand (those that need special aides, medications, or supports) and have really expanded the love and understanding I have for all types of animals! My experiences as a pet owner have profoundly changed me and developed my confidence and care and I believe that they have taught me how to genuinely respect any pet's autonomy and boundaries. I strive to give the animals in my life (not just my pets but animals I encounter in my day-to-day life as I have many beloved street cats in my community!) not just love and care but enrichment and fulfillment! I've learned a lot about animal communication in my experiences with my own pets and hope to offer a wealth of enthusiasm, knowledge, and care to your pets as well! I work as an academic tutor at a learning center so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and would happily take on a regular schedule for pets that may require more structure as well as see pets that may have some more sporadic scheduling needs! I look forward to helping make your animal care dreams come to fruition! I follow a philosophy of respect and gentle care-I let the animal lead and learn their cues to help promote their feelings of safety and comfort. As an owner of a few rescues, I have a soft spot for shy/cautious pets that need more of a soft approach to come out of their shell and absolutely love helping pets learn to trust and feel comfortable being their true safest self! I adore senior pets as well! I work as an academic tutor at a learning center so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule and would happily take on a regular schedule for pets that may require more structure as well as see pets that may have some more sporadic scheduling needs! I have fairly open availability as my summer hours are a bit reduced so I have availability in the early mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. I am fairly flexible and happy to accommodate if we're a great fit so if you need me for hours that don't fit in the aforementioned schedule-please don't hesitate to reach out still-I'll do what I can to see if we can work a schedule that fits for everyone! I care for pets in my home by prioritizing their safety and comfort. I maintain secure spaces for my dog (keeping him in a fenced yard or making sure that if we're walking outside he has a harness on) and my cats (they are indoor only cats who enjoy walks with their cat backpack to get outdoor enrichment), I maintain cool temperatures in the summers and warm temperatures at night to make sure my animals don't overheat or overcool, and I clean and sanitize my entire home daily including washing food dishes, providing fresh food, and cleaning litterboxes multiple times a day and then washing and sanitizing the litterboxes at least once a week. I also do my best to follow a structured schedule for my pets by following a set feeding schedule, allowing for plenty of exercise and playtime periods, and listening to my animals' cues when they need rest periods. I also practice pet care hygiene daily by cleaning my pets' ears, brushing their teeth, brushing their fur, and cleaning their paws to best maintain their health and safety. For my clients, I follow a similar practice of maintaining their pet's comfort and safety by establishing secure spaces for pets at all times and following hygiene and care preferences that are tailored to each pet's individual needs (dietary requirements, exercise habits, medical supports, specific routines). I also do what I can to help address common concerns with my client's pets like using familiar toys, offering reassurance, and a calm environment to help with separation anxiety. I also prioritize bountiful communication with my clients and am very happy to provide detailed updates and photos regularly to help inform my clients and reassure them that their pets are in safe, reliable hands (as a pet owner myself, I absolutely understand the need for regular, detailed updates!)!

I would recommend Gabriela for anyone’s pet needs! But especially for someone with a very active dog. Gabriela always brings our dog on long walk and they enjoy time at the park together. She is also very reliable and you can tell that she generally cares for our dog.

Danny is wonderful with my dog. I was out of the country and felt comfortable knowing that my dog was in good hands. Sadly (for me) he is moving away but he will make other pet owners very happy in his new city. Reiji will miss you!

James was wonderful to work with! First, his response time was quick which made for easy communication. James asked many question about Huey prior to taking care of him to ensure that everything would be the right fit during Huey’s visit. He went above and beyond by taking him to the local dog park and running with him during walks (Huey is an active young puppy so he needed the stimulation!). Moreover, James sent photos and updates throughout the day which really brought me a sense of security. Overall, I would highly recommend James as a sitter/walker. His knowledge and experience with dogs really shows in his care and devotion to your pet!

Jillian is the best! Always on time, so kind, and is great with my pup. My dog doesn’t tend to like other people very much but has been so eager and happy with Jillian!

Kelsey was great! I needed someone on short notice and they came through. Prompt communication and accommodated my requests.

3yrs on/off with Matt. Best ever! Attentive, reliable, kind.Grateful for his care of my THREE Mini Aussies. One very senior, one with behavioral issues, and the other just a talker. Gives each of them individual attention and gets to know them. Great walks, gives meds, does drop in, house sitting..Truely the best pet sitter!!!

Jeri is so great with my dog! She is super attentive and caring and truly cares for my dog. She always makes sure my pup is well taken care of and is very proactive for eg refilling water bowls, turning the fan on when it’s too hot. She also leaves detailed notes on rover card on how the walk went and takes photos which is always appreciated esp when I’m missing my pup from afar!

Brook takes such good care of my boy. She is a great communicator, always timely and follows all the hand commands (my boy is deaf). Would highly recommend her!

Audrey was able to help with short notice and was so good about communicating with us about how each walk went.

Shannon is fantastic! She has been incredibly loving and patient with our reactive dog, Maddie. I really appreciate her flexibility and excellent communication. We’ll definitely be requesting Shannon’s services again as needed. I highly recommend her!

Angela is awesome! I trust her completely with my 95lb Lab! He’s very sweet, but has lots of big dog energy, and she handles him very well.

Megan is the best. She has been one of our go tos the last couple months with dog walking and house sitting. She is quick to reply and does a great job communicating. She is so thoughtful and always goes above and beyond whether it is bringing in packages, taking out the trash or helping clean up puppy accidents. We so appreciate, Megan!
