About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also have my own mini crew of farm animals including chickens and ducks and have some experience looking after goats and horses. At the same time, while I was away from home for my military obligations, communication and updates stayed consistent. Aicha even double-checked to make sure I was receiving her messages. I was in a very isolated area doing mountain warfare training, and at the same time studying for tests to advance my career. Just saying, I could have been more responsive if I wasn't so busy. Aicha still went above and beyond to ensure I knew Chief was well taken care of. This fact was reinforced upon my arrival home. Chief actually seemed kind of sad that he wasn't seeing Aicha every day!! Aicha is amazing and will provide your pet with more than enough love, care, and affection.
