About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and pet sitting for families in my community for years. I grew up with cats, chickens, and very large dogs (mastiffs and shepherds), so I’m extremely comfortable with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. In addition to dog and cat sitting for neighbors, friends, and families throughout the Half Moon Bay, La Honda, and Pescadero areas, I also have professional experience working with animals. For three years I worked with horses in a therapeutic riding program, where I helped care for and rehabilitate former racehorses and support their training to become therapy animals. What sets me apart is how attentive and communicative I am while you’re away. I truly treat the animals I care for like my own, making sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. I also love sending photo updates and check-ins so you can relax knowing your pets are happy and well cared for. Caring for your pet fits perfectly into my routine, and I’ll try to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I work almost entirely from home, so I have a schedule that allows me plenty of time during the day for walks, visits, playtime, and check-ins. Because I’ve lived locally in the Bay and coastside all of my life, I’m also familiar with the area and can easily accommodate regular visits or longer stays. I additionally love to take pets out for hikes, shorter walks, and other outtings depending on their energy needs—I love looking after adventurers and home-bodies alike. I’m happy to build my schedule around what works best for your pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of your space and follow all instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medications to walk routines and house rules. I can’t lie, I’m a bit of a neat freak! I leave a home better than I found it. I’m attentive on walks, keep pets safely leashed, and make sure gates, doors, and fences are secure and locked upon leaving your home. I also believe communication is paramount while you’re away. I send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel confident they’re in good hands.

About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs of all sizes and breeds — from small terriers to larger dogs like pit bulls — and feel confident handling a wide range of temperaments. About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs over the last 13 years - from labradors to terriers and puppies to seniors. I would love to watch and care for your pup! I’m a product manager and Airbnb host. I currently work part time. My schedule is flexible and am happy to watch and care for pups as needed. I’m happy to follow the guidelines and rules provided. I usually make sure to watch, feed, and walk the pups as instructed and send photo updates throughout the day.

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and exotic animals for families and neighbors for over 8 years. This ranges from home check-ins, trips to the vet, and overnight pet sitting. About: A large grassy area in front of the property, several dog beds, dog-friendly neighborhood walks,...ideal for a fun pet overnight stay. I sometimes may have 2 dogs at one time, and 3 would be a rare occasion, though in the past I have had 3 from the same household. I study massage and dog psychology. Dogs who love touch or massages will get plenty of attention. This is a dog-friendly apartment complex with a dog run and a large lawn. Quiet dogs are also allowed on the balcony for fresh air, relaxation, and bird and people watching. About this sitter: I raised two Scottish Terrier litter-mates from puppy-hood and have cared for dogs and cats in their homes or mine for months at a time, and I enjoy walking dogs. I am soft-spoken and very patient. Shy, or sensitive/scared pets often feel comfortable around me pretty quickly. Pets should have joy in their lives so I enjoy giving them extra attention to help alleviate some of the stress when their owners are away. For overnight care at a clients' home, I like to stay as light and self-contained as possible. I'm in this for the love of pets and like to leave as little a footprint as possible! Experience includes: dog owner, cat owner, dog sitting for over 15 different dogs and 4 different cats (up to 6 dogs simultaneously or combo of 2 dogs/2 cats who were housemates). Why I love dog sitting: I made my first dog friend when I was 6 years old. Lalli was a seeing-eye school drop out and the sweetest dog I'd ever met. My aunt already had 2 cats that I loved by that point. I ended up helping a senior dog get past her separation anxiety and she and her folks gained more freedom. About my yard: Large grassy area in front of the house. Dog park nearby with well behaved friendly neighborhood dog regulars. My experience administering oral medication: I have done it and I will do it if a pet is not a biter or scratcher. I cared for 2 dogs during their hospice. I am open to doing that (for animals and humans) at least to help provide respite for the primary caretakers. I am free to spend time with your dogs and/or house sit anytime. Dogs that stay overnight with me will have a day sitter and dog company during the day. I am willing to accept stays longer than one week but we must discuss first to see if my system works for your animals. I live in a very walkable neighborhood with a park nearby and a large grassy area. I have an afternoon sunning deck, and plan potty breaks every 2-4 hours. Mini-massages and indoor play breaks are available throughout the day between dog naps.

Our cat is a pandemic cat so is accustomed to frequent attention and it seems she definitely got that while we were away - possible more than when we’re home! Devin sent regular photos and updates and Misty always appeared very content. The house was left tidy and Devin helped with extra tasks such as bringing in the mail and putting out the trash for collection.”

About: I started by taking care of my moms 4 dogs when she would go on vacations and needed a dog sitter. That really taught me how to feed them efficiently and when to take them outside to go potty. From there I learned how to hang out with them and play with them efficiently. I am a college student with classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I am available for the entire day and night. On Wednesday and Friday I'm available at night, Monday I'm not because I have a night class. Staying over night is not a problem, along with check ins during the days even on school days. I love dogs and am really good at feeding them, taking them outside, and playing with them. I'm not a trainer, but someone who is good at taking care of them while you are away. My mom has 4 small dogs so I'm very familiar with smaller dogs, but I have also watched bigger dogs as well.
