About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned and cared for three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs of all sizes and breeds — from small terriers to larger dogs like pit bulls — and feel confident handling a wide range of temperaments.
