“My foster dog Baby had a wonderful stay with Tanya and her daughter. Their home is basically doggy heaven, and Baby enjoyed the huge lawn and tons of love and care accordingly. Baby looks forward to her next visit!”

“Joyce, Keith, and family took great care of Sunny while my partner and I were away on vacation for 8 nights. Joyce communicated well and sent pictures and videos to me daily. I’m grateful for all the love they gave Sunny during his stay in their home. I would definitely recommend to others who are looking for a dog sitter.”

About: Firm yet loving care for all dogs, specializing in puppy training, high energy, hiking/running, and managing complex medical needs like seizures, food sensitivities, and limited mobility. Currently working from home with flexible time which allows me to integrate training, walks, play time, and medical monitoring throughout the day, while weekends are dedicated to long runs/walks and trail hikes. My approach to pet care is rooted in structure, trust, and genuine affection. My services will be tailored to each dog's needs indoors or outdoors.
“Meerim was an incredible dog sitter. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She sent updates and pictures throughout the stay, and communicated how things were going so I didn't worry at all. So grateful that we found her! Will 100% book again xx”

“As was my experience previously, I could not be more pleased with Jennifer's care. It is clear that my pup is well cared for, and loved as if she was at home. Best doggy boarding experience we've had across our 20 years of dog ownership. SDS”

“Always feel happy leaving Omi with Michael. Omi is also keen to go inside and leave us to visit and find her friends. We enjoy getting lots of photos and updates. So glad we found Michael.”

“The best service you could possibly ask for. My puppy had some of the most fun of his life staying with Ivan! He got playtime all day, Ivan was super patient with him during his training phase, and I had zero worries. I absolutely recommend Ivan for a high-quality experience and second home for your dog.”

I have a well-trained, friendly companion dog and a large backyard for plenty of outdoor time and bathroom breaks. I enjoy long walks and trips to the dog park, and I’m happy to provide patient, attentive care, including basic training reinforcement and extra playtime. Reliable, caring, and committed to keeping your pup safe and happy. I work from home and make my own schedule, so I will be able to focus on your pup during their visit! I will be available daily from 9am - 6pm and can offer after hours or overnight if needed. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog of my own for company. My daughter is also an animal lover and loves to give belly rubs!
“This was Yogi’s first time away from home, and Cynthia made sure he was well cared for. She sent us lots of updates (which we requested) and Yogi looked so happy the whole time. We weren’t sure how he’d do since we only adopted him a few months ago, but he seemed to have such a great time! Would book again!”

“My pup spent a few days with Kelly, and came back happy and healthy. Kelly was very responsive in her communication with me and sent a couple updates during his stay. Good job!”

“Stacey is wonderful. She took great care of our dog, and we could tell from the photos she sent that our dog was having a great time with her. She was also very responsive to messages and great to work with. Highly recommend!”

“We asked Siobhan and Guillermo to watch out two dogs for a weekend. This was the first time away from home for one of our dogs since her adoption. They both did well. Right after arrival at their house, my dogs started to enjoy the scent of different dogs in their fenced yard under the redwood trees. It was like going to a dog park and socializing with different dogs. At pick up time, we asked Siobhan and Guillermo if they can care for them again on our next trip away from home.”

“Kora had a great stay! Photos and updates were provided daily. Kora, bring an older dog, needs medications daily and help with stairs. She came home a happy dog! Would highly recommend Matthew and Kate!”

“Karla was great watching my dog while I was away. She spent extra time to learn more about my dog so she could provide a better care for him. She also kept me posted so I could be sure he’s enjoying staying with Karla ☺️”

About: Dogs have been a big part of our lives. We adopted Bruno, our beloved Labrador Retriever, with whom we spent 11 years until he fought bravely with cancer but could not win. Bruno socialized me to his friends like Mastiffs, German Shepherds, Corgis, Golden Retrievers and many more and helped me understand that each dog, irrespective of his breed, has a unique personality and temperament. Thus, please do tell us about your dogs unique traits and his phobias so that we can make him feel at home. This is important for us to know as dogs undergo huge stress to be away from their home. After Bruno passed away, we adopted Rex, Labrador Retriever, who has helped us heal and made us realize how important dogs are in our lives! Both, me and my wife WFH and have flexible working schedule. So one of us will be at home to take care of the pack. We have Rex, a Labrador Retreiver, who goes on walks 2x times a day for 2-3 miles everyday. If the dog is staying with us, based on his needs, he can join us on our walks. Plus, we have a fully fenced backyard for dogs to play and run freely. Often, we take break from our work and play with our dog in the backyard or go for a small 5-10 min walk outside our home. For everyone’s safety, the dog should get along with kids and other dogs. Please let us know if there are any health issues and/or food allergies. My wife and I have experience caring for senior dogs, and both of us are comfortable administering medications as needed.
“Sofiya took amazing care of our senior Heeler Mix, Toby, while we were in Europe for two weeks! He had the most amazing time at her place, made sweet new doggy friends, and was showered with love and attention. Honestly, I think he had it better with Sofiya than at home! 🤩 Sofiya was not at all deterred by his medication regimen and he slept better at her place than at home! He returned to us squeaky clean as well!! 🛁 We were grateful for Sofiya’s regular updates and photos since we were so far away. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!!! 🐾”

“Cordigen D always is super flexible and is able to come at specific times to make sure my cat is in the house. She’s kind and my cat clearly loves her. I always get her when I travel. She’s the best.”

“Esmeralda did house & cat sitting for us while we were away for 2 weeks. She was terrific! She saved our vacation when we had a truly last minute kitchen faucet leak. She took care of emptying out the bucket we placed under the pipe on a daily basis and even took out all the wet items from under the kitchen sink cabinet and dried them off for us. She even got a bigger bucket from her own home to help with our situation. She made our kitty, Uli, very happy, playing with him and petting him. We could see how happy he was. We feel very fortunate to have found Esmeralda on Rover just in time before our vacation when our previous sitter told us he couldn’t make it. Thank you very much, Esmeralda, for all the attention and care you gave to Uli and our home!”

“Kristine was so wonderful when we had family in town. She was very flexible on timing and showed up exactly when she said she would. Kristine was so kind and helpful to our pups who had to get fed at dinner time. Would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to book her again!”

About: I'm home for the summer and love taking care of cats. I grew up with two of my own back in Texas—Anastasia, a Chartreux, and Dimitri, who is a sweet orange cat. I completely understand everything they need, from feeding routines to keeping them entertained. I've also babysat cats for several neighbors over the last two years, so I know exactly how to keep them happy and comfortable while you're away!
“Caroline is amazing! She was able to fill in for an emergency sitting request and take care of my boys. They love her, and she takes great care of them, and provides great updates and pictures throughout. I fully recommend her!”

“Aidai took great care of our cat for a week. She was very caring and communicative, sent us updates and pictures on a daily basis. I highly recommend her if you need help with your cats.”

“Thank you so much for taking good care of my cat! Friendly, good communication, and a real love for pets! I could tell Kit was happy and content with you. Thanks a million!”

“Chelsea is AMAZING! She is so great with our cats—they love her and always come out to greet her despite being very shy. She also accommodated us over a holiday weekend last minute which we will forever be grateful for. She is very communicative, attentive, and considerate. Could not recommend more!”

“Silvana did a great job with our 2 cats! Came back to happy and well taken care of furbabies. Communication was prompt and smooth and we didn’t worry while we were gone. Thanks Silvana!”

“Taryn was awesome! We were traveling to Pescadero for the day, with my daughter, son in-law and grandpuppies, but didn't want to leave them in the car while we had lunch and walked the town. Taryn met us at the restaurant and took the dogs to a nearby play area. She was on time, professional, and so caring with the pups. There human mommy was nervous to leave them, but felt comfortable with Taryn. We had a relaxing lunch, and the pooches came back happy and tired! Thanks Taryn for your professionalism, it added so much to our special day.”

“Shannon was great! She did drop in visits to feed and socialize with my cat. She played with him and sent great pictures from each visit. She was attentive to instructions and everything went very smoothly.”

“Evan was great! He took great care of our 3 fur babies. I felt totally at ease and knew that I could trust him to be there for my dogs when they needed to be cared for. He has been easy to communicate with and reliable!”

“John was so kind and attentive with Max everyday during his stay. He was absolutely flexible adapting his apartment for Max big size and all his belongings (litter, scratchers, food containers, carrier, blankets, toys), so Max would have a less stressful stay. John was effectively communicating with us, and always willing to do his best to ensure Max will have a great time and we will know as much as possible about Max’s last updates. We are really thankful with John for taking care of Max, following his food and water routine over the heat wave, for cleaning his eyes and for sending us all the pictures and updates every day, so we will enjoy our short trip knowing Max was safe and happy. Thank you so much John, we’ll see you next time! Blessings from the 3 of us!”

“We have used Renz several different times and he’s always been great! Pepper loves he and his partner and their sweeeeet dog, Whiskey. Renz is very easy to coordinate with, follows all my instructions, troubleshoots intelligently, is skilled in obedience training, and seems to really enjoy learning Pepper’s needs. He has access to a variety of dog parks and trails, including agility structures, so I know Pepper is always going to have fun and be stimulated. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you so much Florence and Wen for taking such great care of Sunny and Prince! We were nervous for their first ever time in daycare, but you both did a fantastic job taking care of them and reassuring us with plenty of adorable photos! We especially appreciated their ability to roam freely in the fenced in backyard, and the several walks you took them on! We will not hesitate to book you again!”

About: Hi, I'm Lexi! I'm a registered nurse from south Louisiana, currently working a travel contract here in the Bay Area. Taking care of people is what I do for a living, and dogs have had my heart even longer. I grew up surrounded by dogs and my parents have four back home, so I'm comfortable with a full house, big personalities, and everything from the anxious ones to the ones who think they're lap dogs at 80 pounds. On my last few contracts, I've cared for several doctors' pets while they traveled. Overnight stays, feeding schedules, medications, walks, and plenty of couch time. I'm detail-oriented by training, so I'll follow your instructions exactly and send photo updates so you're never wondering how things are going. Caring for something someone loves is a real responsibility, and it's one I take seriously. I'd love to do that for you and your dog. I work Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5, and I'm free every weekend. I can board or house sit any time outside of those work hours. Weeknight overnights and full weekends both work well. During the week I'm also available for early morning and evening walks, drop-ins, and feedings before and after work. I live nearby with a fully fenced backyard, so there's plenty of room to get outside and play. My schedule is set and predictable, so once we book, you can count on me being there. At my place, your dog has a fully fenced backyard to run in and free rein of the house. No crating unless that's what they're used to and you'd prefer it. I check the gate and fence line before letting anyone out, and dogs stay leashed anytime we're beyond the yard, no matter how good their recall is. In your home, I follow your routine exactly as you've laid it out. Feeding times, walk routes, which doors stay closed, and any quirks I should know about. I ask a lot of questions up front so nothing is left to guesswork. I'm comfortable giving medications and I pay close attention to how a dog is acting; if something seems off, you'll hear from me right away rather than after the fact. I leave the space the way I found it and send photo updates throughout so you always know how things are going.
“Our puppy had such a great time with Ying! She was super attentive to all our puppy’s needs and sent lots of pictures. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. Her dog has also been a great playmate for our puppy, so they get lots of energy out too.”

“Kuma had an amazing time with Crystal. She took Kuma out for several walks and was quick to respond if I had any questions. Kuma didn’t want to leave when I came to pick her up. Would definitely recommend Crystal!”

“Thank you so much to Christina and Joseph for accepting my last minute request. They hosted my puppy in their home and she had such a fun time that she would cry every time we would leave. I also appreciated your flexibility with pick up times. Thank you for allowing my puppy to explore, play with your pup Laker and for taking such great care of her!!”

“We needed to drop off our puppy for daycare for one day when visiting the Bay Area and found Anna through Rover. She took care of my 10 month old puppy and kept us updated about our puppy through messages and pics. My puppy didn’t eat food that morning so I requested Anna to offer her the food again, she was kind enough to offer and ensure she ate her food. Thanks Anna.”

About: Our family consists of my husband and me, along with our 7-year-old Labrador. Over the years, we've raised three rescued dogs and a cat. We have also served as a foster family for guide dogs and as a temporary shelter for rescued Labradors; we truly believe in destiny and love helping animals. Since we work from home, we spend all day with our dog and would love to have other dogs around to keep him company. Since we work from home, you can expect all-day companionship for your dog, whether it's for daycare or boarding. Plus, since we have a dog of our own, your pup is guaranteed to have a blast and be super happy here! We live in a single-story, single-family house with a secure, sturdy fence all around. We like to keep the backdoor open to the backyard, and since we have a dog of our own, our home is absolutely a pet-friendly environment.
“Chelsea was lovely. She took such great care of my dog, Lula, who has IVDD. She listened all the small details I gave her about caring for a dog with a walking disability. We’ll definitely book her again. Thank you, Chelsea.”

About: Hi! I’m Taryn! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals — especially rescues. Over the past 13 years, I’ve owned three very different dogs (a chihuahua, dachshund mix, and shepherd mix), so I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. I’m comfortable adjusting care based on your dog — whether that means a short, gentle walk for a senior pup or a long, active outing to burn energy. I also have hands-on experience with dogs who have leash or food aggression, and I always approach care with patience, awareness, and respect for each dog’s comfort level. As of 6/1/2026 I have a Certificate of Completion from the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid (online) In addition, one of my dogs, Shadow, has seizures, so I’m familiar with staying calm in high-stress situations, monitoring for symptoms, and providing attentive, responsive care when it matters most. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a pet who has extra needs. I’ve also have my own mini crew of farm animals including chickens and ducks and have some experience looking after goats and horses. I’m happy to provide: • Walks tailored to your dog’s energy level • Feeding and routine care • Medication (depending on type) • Baths and brushing • Calm, attentive care for anxious or special needs pets • Plenty of love and companionship Beyond dogs, I have 20+ years of experience with cats. I’ve volunteered with Homeless Cat Network and fostered for Coastside Feral Care. Fun fact: Every animal I’ve cared for or owned has been a rescue — I have a special place in my heart for them and understand the extra patience and care they sometimes need. ________________________________________ 🐾 Why pet parents choose me • Experience with multiple breeds and temperaments • Comfortable with reactive and special needs dogs • Firsthand experience with seizure care • Cat care expert with volunteer/foster background • Calm, patient, and highly attentive
About: My Pet Care Experience Growing up, I had the joy of sharing my life with a variety of pets, each teaching me something unique about responsibility, empathy, and companionship. Over the years, I’ve cared for hamsters, cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, and turtles, and every one of them left a lasting impact on me. As a child, my hamsters taught me patience and attentiveness through their delicate care needs. Feeding them the right diet and cleaning their habitat were my first lessons in responsibility. With dogs and cats, I learned the importance of building trust and providing unconditional love. They showed me how meaningful the bond between humans and animals can be. Bunnies and turtles required different forms of care, from maintaining specific diets to creating environments that matched their natural habitats. These experiences taught me how to adapt and tailor my care to meet the needs of each pet. Even caring for fish required a level of diligence, as maintaining a clean tank and balanced water conditions was essential for their well-being. Now, as an adult, I deeply appreciate how much these experiences shaped my understanding of what it means to care for animals. Pets aren’t just companions; they’re beings that rely on us for their health, happiness, and safety. This realization drives my dedication to providing the best care possible for my current and future pets. Whether it’s ensuring they receive proper nutrition, regular vet check-ups, or just spending quality time with them, I believe that having pets is both a privilege and a commitment. Caring for animals has not only made me more responsible but has also brought immense joy and fulfillment into my life. Pet care is an important part of my daily and weekly routine, and I always make time to ensure pets are happy and healthy. Currently, as a student on vacation, I have plenty of free time during the holidays to dedicate to their care, including playing with them, grooming, and keeping their spaces clean. During the semester, I usually have classes in the mornings, but my afternoons and evenings are free. This gives me a flexible schedule to provide attention, exercise, and care for the pets. I enjoy creating a balance between my responsibilities and spending quality time with them, as I believe this is key to building a strong bond and keeping them content. I am very responsible when it comes to caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s home. I always prioritize building trust with the pet, creating a bond that ensures they feel safe and comfortable with me. The place where I live is fenced and quiet, making it a safe environment for pets. However, I understand that pets often feel more comfortable staying in their own home, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. For this reason, I am more than happy to care for them at their place if that’s preferred. Regardless of the location, I make sure to follow their specific routines, provide plenty of playtime and attention, and ensure their needs are met with love and care.

About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while i’m home for the summer. I’m vegan, I live alone, and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule so I'm more than happy to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, daily walks, and make sure everything is taken care of. I'll always send plenty of photo updates too so you know they're doing great. I've taken care of dogs and cats for neighboring families and friends for many years, so I'm super comfortable handling pets with various different personalities and needs. I’m home for the summer and my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now. Since I don't work a job, I have plenty of free time during the week and on weekends to hang out with your pets, stick to their routines, and make sure they're taken care of as if they are my own. Safety is the main thing for me. I always double-check locks and gates, follow whatever feeding or walking instructions you leave, and keep a close eye on them. I've watched dogs and cats for family and friends for the past two years, so I know what kind of things can go wrong and how to keep everyone happy and safe.
“Esmeralda is wonderful with our golden retriever! She is calm, attentive, and engaging, gets in sync with his personality, and lets him enjoy being outside for an adventure, read the daily doggie news or just hang out listening to music. She is a professional when it comes to her canine care so we are confident when we leave our pup with her. Thank you Esmi!! 😁”

“Amber was awesome! She was super friendly and Ziggy took to her right away. I really appreciated that she kept track of his pee and poo breaks, which made me feel at ease. Even though it was wet out, she made sure Ziggy came back completely dry. I'd definitely recommend her if you're looking for a walker who genuinely cares about your pet.”

“Aylia was extremely communicative, catered to our shy dogs needs, and responsible. I could tell she is used to working with skittish dogs and is willing to give them the space they need to feel safe. She did have an unforeseen emergency arise during our scheduled walks but she notified me quickly and Rover actually gave a credit for the trouble of finding a second sitter last minute. I would definitely rebook her if we need another walker!”

“Anastasii is fabulous with our dogs! She is very punctual and reliable. We trust her very much to care for our two dogs and she always goes above and beyond.”

I continue to care for dogs and cats, dog sat, dog walker for friends and family. I have a passion for dogs, cats, horses. They are extraordinary beings all different all beautiful all special with unique characters!! They bring happiness to my life they bring the best in me I LOVE CARING FOR THEM THEY ARE LIKE ANGELS!!❤️

“This was our Great Dane's first walk with Yesenia. Our pup appeared to be very comfortable and responsive to Yesenia. Yesenia was very reliable and punctual. Looking forward to more walks!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and exotic animals for families and neighbors for over 8 years. This ranges from home check-ins, trips to the vet, and overnight pet sitting. I have two cats at home and share custody of an English lab with my ex-boyfriend. I enjoy treating others pets the way I treat my own. I keep things as routine as possible for my clients, reduce stress, and create fun experiences for them too. I understand that a pet's home and environment are crucial. At home, I make sure my cats always have access to their food and water, litter boxes, and places for them to lounge :)
“An awesome and trustworthy dog walker! My dog normally is wary of strangers but loves going out with Jhonathon, he’s is very communicative and organized as well! Would recommend!”

About: I love dogs, but can't have any of my own. I took 5 years of dog care and training classes at the 4-H club and have cared for and groomed them at every opportunity since then. I am mostly available to do dog walking and feed your pet, but I would consider overnight stays if I am needed. I can't wait to hear from you! Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I structure my days with regular walking, feeding, and check-in windows, and I’m used to building my schedule around animals’ needs rather than squeezing them in. Because I already care for my own dog and take on Rover bookings, things like timely walks, consistent routines, play, and attention are part of my normal day, not an interruption. I’m reliable with schedules and flexible enough to adjust when a pet needs a little extra time or care. I care for pets by following their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. Most of my bookings are drop-in visits and walks rather than overnights. During visits, I handle feeding, fresh water, walks or litter care, playtime, and light grooming as needed—making sure pets get real attention, not just a quick check-in. I’m respectful of your home and attentive to your pet’s individual needs, and I always aim to make visits feel calm, familiar, and comforting. I share thoughtful updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Ulysses was very understanding and helpful when I was trying to figure out the app while teaching and trying to arrange a same day dog walk! Thank you, Ulysses! And most importantly he was great with my 2 big dogs! They both felt instantly comfortable with him, had a great walk and were happy and tired all day afterwards!”

“My foster dog Baby had a wonderful stay with Tanya and her daughter. Their home is basically doggy heaven, and Baby enjoyed the huge lawn and tons of love and care accordingly. Baby looks forward to her next visit!”

“As was my experience previously, I could not be more pleased with Jennifer's care. It is clear that my pup is well cared for, and loved as if she was at home. Best doggy boarding experience we've had across our 20 years of dog ownership. SDS”

Good job!”

“Peanut had his trial day with Shannon today and everything went great. She took wonderful care of him, kept us updated with lots of photos, and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. We could see that he was happy and well cared for. We will definitely book with her again in the future”

“I’m very glad I chose Ghazal to look after my dog Grace during my trip away. Ghazal provided multiple cute pictures everyday of Grace, updates of her activities, and was an excellent communicator throughout the week. She went above and beyond. Highly recommended and would schedule her services again.”

“Ying took such amazing care of our dog, Bailey! She sent frequent updates, photos, and videos! He seemed to really enjoy her pup and met a few more friends at her place too! She followed all of our instructions, and truly got to know him and listen to his cues. Thank you!!!!”

“They were both so awesome and helpful. Extremely organized, they had a checklist to make it easier to be sure that everything was packed. They went above and beyond, grooming my long haired poodle, giving her a cute bandana and a packet of goodies. Ana, my dog, had a great time, and I can't say enough good things.”

“We love Manli! She is communicative, has accommodated us at the last minute on multiple occasions, sends regular updates, and is fantastic with our pup (who adores her!).”

“Chelsea was absolutely wonderful! She made the Rover experience so easy and gave us complete peace of mind. She was caring, communicative, reliable, and clearly treated our pup like family. We got great updates and came home to a very happy dog. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely recommend Chelsea to anyone!”

“Catherine and her husband are so sweet and communicative! We received daily updates on Gale’s behavior and lots of cute pics! They spoiled our dog with two walks a day (I normally only give her one!) and have a fenced in yard for play. I could tell that they really cherished having our dog’s company instead of just dogsitting for the additional income. Their heart is in it for sure!”
