“Vivian was the perfect match for our dogs/fish sitting needs! We've been looking for quite some time to find someone that we felt comfortable with! And our Leila loved her! We'll definitely be asking her back!”

“Jess was great! She came and did a meet and greet prior to staying with my girls. She sent me photos of them all, she even took care of my little piper when she was sick from eating something she should not have ate! 10/10 recommend”

“My puppy is very shy and has some silly habits So I was a little nervous about leaving her but Robin was very sweet about everything and read my notes and when I came home after a few days Vienna was curled up in her lap And completely content. In fact after greeting me she kept going back to Robin for more kisses. Robin is wonderful!!”

“We just moved to Grand Junction, so finding a new sitter is always a little nerve-racking. Karen is amazing. About five days before our trip, our dog came into heat and she handled it like a pro. Our cat is a bit mischievous, and she also took that in stride with lots of laughs. I will most definitely rebook her for any travel I have to do at anytime I need a dog Walker as she is so wonderful with my animals.”

“She was accommodating and took good care of our pups. She watched our 2 dogs for the weekend and had great communication, and sent update pictures so we knew how things were going. She even cleaned the house, leaving it cleaner than it was when we left.”

“Eleshia was absolutely wonderful. She did everything we asked her to do and then some. She sent pictures. Her Communication skills were awesome. Would highly recommend her to watch your dog.”

About: Mom and daughter dog-loving team! We have years of experience caring for dogs-large and small. We will give your pets all the love and care they need while you are away. Working from home means we can care for your pet throughout the day. My 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son love to help care for animals and will give your pet extra attention, walks, and playtime. We can provide playtime, walks, medical care, food and water refills, or just potty breaks while you are away! We will gladly follow all guidelines you give and provide consistent training/commands that you request.
About: I grew up with horses, dogs, cats, and even goats and cows at different times. I have always "had a way" with animals and even have an associate's degree in equine management. I am retired with a flexible schedule, and care for my 87-year-old mom, my husband (as needed, ha!), and a friendly, spoiled beagle. I love to hike in the local area and would be glad to take your dog on walks in the desert or on the many paved trails nearby. We have a fenced yard and a dog door that can accommodate up to a medium-sized dog. Our dog (Tucker) is part of our family, and your dog would be treated the same way. I am retired and have a very flexible schedule. I have a garden and care for my elderly mom, but your pet can tag along for those activities, or stay crated in our house, depending on the pet parent preferences. I have a fenced yard and a friendly beagle to keep your fur baby company. I am home all day, so will be here to let them in and out for potty breaks. If pet-sitting in someone's home, I would not bring my dog along (unless requested).

“If I could give 10 stars I would ! Jacob was absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have asked for anything more. He had a tough job and we almost cancelled a family reunion we had been planning for months. Our Bernese Mountain dog tore her ACL 2 weeks before we were set to go. She had surgery one week before we left. She had to have a lot of attention. And she got the best care from Jacob. Our Bernese had to have medication 3x a day, PT exercises 2x a day and had to wear the Cone of Shame :-( .. And she had to have her surgical sight cleaned, check and medicated everyday. She had to wear a sleeve on her leg and have it adjusted just right so it wasn't too tight or too loose. Jacob also had to take care of our old finicky cat and water indoor and outdoor plants. Like I said , we couldn't have had a better person to handle all of this than Jacob. He would lay on the floor with her and give her belly rubs several times a day and hold and carry around our cat, who is very particular of who can even touch him. We highly recommend Jacob to house sit, walk your dogs, take care of your pets etc. He was GREAT !”

“Aubrey was fantastic while house sitting for us. We have a high-energy mini Aussie, and she handled her with ease and care. She kept us consistently updated, communicated clearly, and sent photos, which we really appreciated. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog and home were in such good hands. We highly recommend her—thanks again, Aubrey!”

About: I’ve had cats and interacted with dogs my whole life. I have been house/pet sitting for friends and family since I was 12 and have cared for many different pet households. I have bathed and medicated multiple different dogs and cats and walked dozens of dogs. I’m currently available 24/7 for visits, dog walking, and house sitting. My schedule is very flexible and i’m willing to work odd hours if needed. I love meeting new animals and am always careful with nervous pets. I am great at following instructions and always respectful of pets and belongings.
About: I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I’ve been providing personal pet care for the past two years. I get along with dogs of all ages and breeds. I can keep up with any energy level your fur baby has. I currently only have my schedule on Rover filling my time so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets needs and give them the playtime and/or walks they need daily. I will follow and maintain daily medication and feeding schedules of any complexity. I will follow all instructions given to ensure your furry friend gets the care they need. I just need to know what they can and can’t do and will make sure they are on their best behavior while I care for them.

“Our experience with Amelia was excellent. She took such great care of our pets and paid attention to every detail. She was very responsive and sent us plenty of pictures of our pets. She took great care of our house too. I would definitely recommend Amelia as a pet sitter/house sitter and will rebook with her again.”

“Laura cared for our two dogs, and if I could give more than five stars, I would. From the moment we met, I knew our home and pets were in excellent hands. She went above and beyond, providing exceptional care, and thoughtful attention that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It is clear that Laura genuinely cares about the pets and homes she looks after, treating them with the same care and respect she would her own. Reliable, trustworthy, kind, and highly professional, Laura exceeded every expectation. In addition to caring for our dogs, Laura also fed the fish and watered our plants and flowers. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone seeking a pet and house sitter, and we have already booked her again!”

“My pitty is very high energy and tends to scare people without understanding why. Lainya just rolled with her energy and took perfect care of her while we were gone. I'm so greatful to her, we will absolutely be booking her again”

About: **I’ve got you with the photo/text updates ALWAYS** I’ve taken care of ALL types of animals (pets, exotic, farm, reptiles, birds) since I was a little kid! I partially grew up on a farm, and have lots of experience handling and caring for animals. I have no issues with breaking up animal conflict, administering medication, and am hardworking individual. I currently am the proud mother of one leopard gecko and cat! Please reach out for any pet needs! Let’s set it up! Let’s communicate! I am an athletic trainer at the university. My schedule can be a bit chaotic, so jobs that are requested at least 1-2 weeks in advance will work the best for us. I have a flexible day to day schedule, but would NOT be appropriate for families who need constant care/oversight. I would love to talk more about setting up dates/times that work for us and your pet!!!! When I am housesitting, I make sure to try and maintain as normal of a schedule, environment, and atmosphere as possible. I maintain respectful boundaries to the animal — as it is their house too!

Ariana is one of a kind. We are new in town and will be in Moab for a while Ariana stepped up and took care of our English cream golden 5-year-old boy Rio while we attended a wedding out of state .We couldn't be more pleased the way she cared for him like if he was her own. She stood overnight with him for four nights took care of him throughout the day Fed him let him out spent quality time and made sure he had everything he needed so he did not stress while we were out of town . She kept in constant communication day and night sending pictures and updates we are so pleased and thankful to find her. She is someone reliable trustworthy and has a compassion and great knowledge of dogs . We will use no one else in Moab.⛰️ ❤️❤️🙏🙏🐕🦺👋 Thank you Ariana ❤️🙏👍

Erin recently housesat for us on several occasions and did an excellent job! We have a dog and two cats and she took such great care of them. She took our dog Archie on his daily walks and threw the ball to him. She was very reliable and the house looked great when we came home. We will definitely contact her again in the future when we need her help!

This was the first time we used Jack for our Rottweiler and cat. He stayed in our home. Our pets were very happy when we returned - it was obvious that they had been lovingly cared for. The home was left spotless! We received updated & pictures throughout the stay. Will definitely use him again!
Annie did an absolutely fantastic job watching our 2 kitties and home while we were away. She was respectful of the instructions we provided, and took wonderful care, staying in close communication, and sending updates for our peace of mind. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Redlands on Rover is $37.74 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redlands walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redlands maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redlands choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Redlands. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 86% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
