“Byron and Martha are the best. They took really good care of our dog Noki. They followed up each day with photos and followed all instructions for care. Will be reaching out again for his service thru Rover. For sure a 5 star sitter. Thanks again!”

“Rachel is great! She will love yours as her own. Stays updated and sends pics of your fur babies. Sets up a meet and greet which is wonderful so you know you’re in good hands. Definitely recommend and will definitely use her services again!”

“Our 11 month old vizsla puppy is a handful and Debbie handled him beautifully with training experience, understanding, and love. He received dedicated one on one care for the 6 days we were away on vacation and we couldn’t be more pleased. Her daily photo updates were comforting and thoughtful. We would love to have Debbie host our pup again in the future!”

“Shyla is the best! So attentive and knowledgeable about cats. She kept us informed about any behavior she felt might be out of the ordinary, and sent photos and videos periodically so that we could see how he was doing. We were able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about Calvin- We knew he was in good hands!”
“Danielle was perfect! She was great with communications from the initial request up to pickup time. We were confident our pup was in great hands! We highly recommend Danielle and look forward to working with her again!”

About: Hi there! My name is Jamie and I am a very active dog lover!! I love taking dogs for walks and runs, playing fetch, playing tug-of-war, and playing any other kinds of games that your dog may enjoy! I have 3 years of paid experience in caring for both dogs and cats. I love spending time with furry friends and will make sure that I take care of your pet as if it were my own! My husband and I have two English Cream Retrievers and we love them more than anything in the world! I know that puppies, dogs, and all other animals require a lot of time and attention, and I am more than willing to provide the care that they need! My husband and I are both Firefighter/Paramedics, and know first-hand how difficult and anxiety provoking finding a reliable pet sitter can be. I am committed to walking your furry friend when needed, dropping in to visit them while you are away for the day, and we are open to hosting your furry friend in our home if you need extended care. We have a small, fenced in backyard where your furry friends can play with ours, and we live near the lake so extended walks are always available!! I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you and your fur-babies!! I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and work a rotating schedule. I know my schedule in advance, so scheduling should not be an issue! If we are boarding your dog in our home, someone is almost always home between my husband and I! We also walk our own dogs daily, so we are used to daily walks and exercise! If your fur-baby is spending time at my house, I have two very loving and playful doggos that can keep your dog company! I live near the lake, so there are plenty of places to walk and explore! I am also willing to take your dog to the dog park at Pets Park if that is something your dog would like! I am very active, so long walks/runs are not an issue!
“Another happy pup! Thank you, Dimond for watching our girl Nala again. I thought it was so cute that she remembered you and seemed to miss you as well! You took great care of her with lots of walks, love and play time. Until next time!”

“Tyler is great! Very communicative and helpful with all my dog’s special needs and quirks. He has great dog energy and my dog is always soo happy to see him ☺️ I will always recommend Tyler to any friend needing a dog-sitter.”

“Laura did amazing with Romeo, she updated us everyday on how he was doing and was very responsive. Romeo was in very good hands. We would definitely use her again!”

About: As a dog lover my whole life, I wasn't able to get one of my own until a year and a half ago. Having our golden retriever Tommy has completely changed my life for the better! I absolutely love dogs of all kinds and enjoy being outdoors and playing with them. I work full time remotely, so I am extremely available and flexible to your schedule. I can accommodate any needs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and everywhere in between. Tommy has been professionally trained and gets along great with other dogs. We are able to keep dogs in our apartment if needed, and have lots of parks and sidewalks near by for exercise. I currently work from home full time, so I am very flexible for your pets needs. I currently keep our golden retriever active (as he very much needs it!) and would love to add another dog to the bunch if needed. I live in an apartment but have lots of access to local parks and walking trails. I am available for drop-in visits and walks as well.
“Becky was so great with everything! She explained everything during the meet & great and made me feel very comfortable leaving my puppy in her care, especially on short notice. During my puppy’s stay she sent daily updates that kept me at ease. Lastly, she was very accommodating when my return flight was delayed. So professional and kind, 10/10”

“I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I was sick to my stomach worrying about what we were going to do with Daisy during my daughter's wedding. We were staying overnight by the venue so I needed someone to take her until the next day. Sadly, Daisy has epilepsy and needs medication twice a day so I can't just take her anywhere. I was also concerned that the stress could trigger a seizure. Samantha wad great at putting my mind at ease. Her veterinary background made me feel so much better about it and she sent pictures and videos, too. Daisy is in love with Caliber and played the entire time. She slept for 2 days after she came home! If I need a sitter in the future, We will go back to Samantha, for sure!”

About: I have 15 plus year of experience caring for pets! I am also a current foster for our local humane society. Willing to clean yard/litter pans and administer medications. I have very flexible availability and am looking to stay busy! I have time during the day and most evenings to walk and care for your pets. I have a fenced in yard and my pets get free roam of our house. While caring for your pet, I will treat them as one of my own. They will get lots of snuggles!
“Karen is so great! She is very kind and caring. Our dog, Angel, received so much love and attention during her stay. We got several pictures every day which gave us so much reassurance while being away from our dog for an extended period. We could tell that Angel was very happy there and made to feel right at home. Thank you Karen!!!”

“Katrina was very accommodating and took wonderful care of our dog while we were away! We appreciated the update and ease of communication with her. Thank you!!”

“Joseph was so kind as to take our Labrador very last minute. She is fearful of men in general, but immediately went with Joseph without any hesitation. Joseph sent us pictures of our dog playing with his dogs, which was awesome to see, as well as other updates that she was doing great. We already have plans for our dog to stay with Joseph again!!”

“Amanda was a wonderful sitter for our dogs - we loved receiving photos of them while on our vacation. She was super flexible with our travel schedule and will absolutely use her in the future!”

About: Looking for a reliable dog sitter? Look no further! I am a passionate animal lover with years of experience taking care of animals. Your furry friend will receive the best care and attention while you're away. Rest assured that your dog will be in good hands with me as I provide a safe and loving environment for them. Hire me as your dog sitter and give yourself peace of mind knowing that your pet is well-cared for in your absence. As a caregiver for people, animals hold a special place in my heart. I see them as little humans without voices who also require care and attention. Incorporating pet care into my daily or weekly routine is a priority for me. Whether it's feeding them, walking them, or simply spending quality time together, I ensure that their needs are met just like I do for the people I care for. It brings me joy to provide love and support to these furry companions who rely on me for their well-being. Taking care of animals is not just a task - it's a meaningful part of my daily routine that enriches my life in countless ways. Providing a secure and comfortable space for the pets to roam and play. Ensuring that all doors and windows are properly closed and secured to prevent any potential escape. Keeping harmful substances and objects out of reach of the pets. Following a feeding and exercise routine tailored to the pet's needs. Being attentive to any signs of distress or illness in the pets and seeking immediate veterinary care if needed. Overall, caring for pets in a secured environment requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure their safety and happiness.

“Tony was great with Archie. He sent photos and videos which I really liked to see. Archie looked like he really enjoyed himself. Would highly recommend Tony. Thanks again for having Archie in your home”

“This is the second time Wolfie stayed with Kim while we visited Great Wolf Lodge. Although he is nervous and doesn't like strangers, he had an easy time warming up to Kim. She sent us many updates of them going on walks, enjoying her outdoor area, and (his lap dog favorite) keeping close while she worked. When he wouldn't eat his usual dog food, she prepared him special food (with our blessing). We always knew he was in excellent hands and will be back for another visit if we head to Great Wolf Lodge or Great America!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
