“They are so sweet and accommodating to my schedule. Brownie had a good time at their place, they also have a big backyard which is a huge plus. I would definitely recommend!”

“Amanda and her son were amazing with our dog Charlie! He's a big boy and can be a lot to handle but they didn't seem to have any issues. This was his first stay with them. He settled in almost immediately. It was just a short stay overnight and he actually ate a couple times. Often he food strikes for the first day or two so this shows he felt at ease with them. We will definitely be booking again for our future needs. Thanks Amanda!”

“Koka and her dogs were great! They were super accommodating to us when we had a roadside emergency and so understanding. Also took our booking in very short notice which was appreciated. Will definitely book again! Thanks for the cute pics, Daisy had a great time ❤️”

“Sandy is truly the best rover I've had for my little ones. She's so attentive & always takes pictures and updates me everyday! My boys truly love staying over there and love how amazing she is with them ❤️”

“Scott and his dog Lucy were a great match for Roo! I received multiple picture updates and he was great at communicating. We met up beforehand to ensure a good match, and it was clear Scott has a natural way with dogs. Would gladly rebook!”

“Ashlee was great with my dog, Sariah! She sent updates with pictures throughout the weekend, which was much appreciated. We will definitely book her again when we need a sitter.”

“Lacey was an amazing dog sitter! This was our first time leaving our 1year old lab and she handled him with such grace. We received so many updates and videos throughout the weekend. She took such great care of him - he came home as though nothing had changed. Dune was also such a wonderful pup companion. I would rebook again and again!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 25 years, from mice and rabbits to horses and dogs of all sizes. I'm the proud owner of an Akita named Yoshi, so I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including strong breeds. Working in healthcare has taught me to be dependable, attentive, and calm under pressure. Whether your dog is here for boarding, a walk, or a drop-in visit, they'll be treated like family with plenty of love, exercise, and personalized care. I am also experienced with senior dogs and giving medication. I work from home two days a week, giving me extra time to spend with the pets in my care. I'm available on Sundays for walks and drop-in visits, and I'm home most weekends for boarding. Need an evening walk between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.? Or a one time weekday overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. ? Send me a message—I may be able to fit you in even if my availability appears closed. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only care for one client's pets at a time to provide individualized attention. My friendly Akita, Yoshi, can interact with social dogs or be kept completely separate if needed. I have a spare bedroom, crates available upon request, and a calm, clean environment where your pet can feel at home. I'll also provide regular photo updates for your peace of mind.

About: My sister is veterinarian, so I always helped her in her job, taking care of the dogs and cats, mostly clean, help to collect some exams, take medicines, available their health and walking with them when the owners need to leave, or with they was in the hotel or day care for pets. I have a dog and just save some other dogs, this kind of job is really good for me, makes me happy, comfortable when I’m with the animals, I don’t have problems with the weight or size because I’m muscle, so eith you some funny and really energetic, that’s me! And I’m sure your pet will love spend some time with me because I’m love for animals and they put a smile in my face. I work full-time and fully remote, but I’m off work at 3pm and I have a lot of free time on the weekends. I live in a place with a dog park, which can be an option if you would like me to sit in my house. I’m also in school, finishing my last year in Master’s in Business Analytics. I live in an apartment with space for your pet but I have my own car to drive to your place. I would be open for any opportunity that would serve you better.

Max is accommodating and was happy go alloys my pup to relax on the furniture and most importantly sleep/snuggle up in bed at night. Would HIGHLY recommend anyone to Max gor dog sitting.”

About: I have worked fully remote for 10 years now which has given me the opportunity to devote lots of time to my own dog as well as friends and family! Experience in senior care and medications including oral and injection. Being home every day gives me lots of time for potty breaks, walks and treats. I have a dog of my own, Fern, who is a sweet and mellow 12 yo Bichon Frise. I also live blocks from the lakefront in a very dog friendly part of Bay View! I have staked leashes in both the front and back yard and am always closely supervising potty breaks and time outside. I also have a pet camera so I’m able to monitor when I’m not home for a couple hours.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Creek
Jennifer watched our 1 year old Cavapoo Mocha for over a week while we were on vacation. From the first time I met her, I could tell Jennifer loves animals. We got daily pictures and updates, which was great! Mocha seemed to fit right in with Jennifer and her family and pets! I know Mocha was in great hands while she was there. We will certainly use Jennifer again when we travel! Thank you Jennifer!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
