“Max and his girlfriend took great care of my pup!! She loved having other dogs to play with. Max has a wonderful personality and vibe. He is very compassionate and you can tell has a spot in his heart for dogs. My pup had a ton of time playing outside, took walks and had a park adventure. Max is accommodating and was happy go alloys my pup to relax on the furniture and most importantly sleep/snuggle up in bed at night. Would HIGHLY recommend anyone to Max gor dog sitting.”

“Wonderful!! I have a 17 week old puppy and they actually accepted to watch him. Trying to find someone to watch a puppy who’s not potty trained is SO hard! I’m beyond grateful! I got updates and photos of my little guy throughout his stay. Recommend!”

“Bud came home happy and tired, which is the perfect combination! Thanks to Fernando for keeping Bud, Matteo and Roland out all day so they could play, play, play! Peace of mind and knowing my Bud is treated so well and accepted like a member of Mary and Fernando's family. Thank you all for another great week with you all!”

“Angela was great, our Penny had a lovely time and came home tired and happy. Angela was great with communication and pictures and very flexible about pick up and drop off. I would definitely bring our Penny back.”

“She was very kind and flexible. Phoenix was in great hands with Katrina, she had lots of fun and exercise. Katrina was great at communication and you could tell she loved watching dogs.”

“We searched high and low for the right place and people to care for our dog Stella, and we could not be more grateful to have found Carol and Steve. Carol and Steve were ideal people with whom we could safely leave Stella. They have an incredibly well-maintained (and absolutely gorgeous) property of which the backyard is completely fenced in, which gave Stella plenty of time and space to run around and sniff to her heart's content. My husband and I were certain while we were gone that Stella was getting as much exercise and outdoor time as she wanted. This was a wonderful reassurance as we had never boarded her anywhere else before and were nervous that she'd have to be stuck in a kennel or a room for most of our absence. Not so once we found this wonderful couple! Carol and Steve followed our instructions for Stella to the letter and it was clear they were both very comfortable and at ease taking care of our dog. No issues whatsoever and we have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about our experience with them. Possibly the BEST part about having booked with Carol and Steve is their impeccable communication. We never - at any point - had to wait long for a response, whether we were asking a question or just communicating logistics regarding Stella's stay. They also made sure to send along regular update messages with pictures while we were gone, typically twice a day. This factor alone made this the most relaxing trip we've taken as a family to date. It gave us complete peace of mind to read and see that Stella was not only doing okay, but was being well taken care of, snuggled, loved, played with, and included as a part of their home. What a treat to find people who will care of your pet the way that you would yourself. We can't recommend Carol and Steve highly enough. Do yourself a favor and hire them. They're exceptional!”

“Thank you for being so wonderful with our fur baby. She came home happy and loved and we are so grateful 💕 We truly appreciate your flexibility with our travel changes. The best part was our girl coming home freshly brushed, cleaned, smelling good and a little Valentine’s bandana ♥️”

“Finn had the besttttt time!! Kim took amazing care of our boy and kept us sooooo updated! I could just tell he had the most amazing time on their walks!! Thank youu so much again!!”

“My pup loves being sat by Daniel and all the other dogs. He eats well, plays safe and always has a good time. My pup returns home very restful and happy, I can tell he enjoys staying with Daniel. They provide a great sense of a home away from home for my pup.”

“Alana and Justen were great! They provided fast responses to messages, sent a lot of updates about what was going on with my dog, and provided a lot of pictures that showed how good of a time my dog was having. Their dog was super sweet with mine and I appreciated the extra attention my dog got from all members of their family. I will definitely book with them again!”

“I am so thankful for Joanne and the wonderful care she provided for our 16 yo pup, Ginger! Grateful for the wonderful home environment she welcomed Ginger into while we were gone. Appreciate that she works from home allowing her to be more available to tend to pups’ needs. Joanne kept in touch with us by sending occasional updates and pictures giving us peace of mind the entire trip. Thankful she was able to be flexible when we encountered travel related issues. I would definitely come back. Highly recommended!!”

“Melissa was absolutely amazing!! She always kept us updated. Max and Olive had the best time! She treated ours like they were her own! Definitely using again in the future! We had peace of mind being away knowing that our babies were in good hands!!”

“My baby boi loves going to see Tony's family and has been several times. What I love is that Thompson gets excited when we pull up as he wants to go play with his friends. I'll continue to rebook and only great things to say!”

“Katy and Dennis are a one in a million find! They take such great care for our high energy dogs, send daily photos, and our dogs are happy to visit them anytime! I highly recommend these two when looking for care for your pups!”
“I have a special-needs dog that is blind, and due to loss of sight struggles with other dogs only because he can’t see them coming. Tracy watch Dover Rocky and make sure he was OK with all the other dogs and then sent me some of the cutest pictures of him just relaxing little notes telling me he was getting along with a dog that barked at him earlier. I’m never left Rocky with any other person other than family. Tracy is not part of that family.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t be happier with Dawn and her husband! They were so welcoming at our Meet and Greet and made us feel very comfortable leaving Zeke overnight. She sent us updates and pictures of him having a blast in their back yard, so I could tell Zeke was having a great time. I highly recommend Dawn and will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Joe was amazing! He sent pictures at least twice a day while our family was on vacations. Picked up Koa and she was happy, looked great! Hands down the best boarding experience so far. Highly, highly recommend!”

“My boy had a nice time with Shannon, once again. She was able to keep him longer than expected due to flight cancellations and it was so appreciated. He is very comfortable with her and her pup and I know he is in good hands!”

About: As a dog lover my whole life, I wasn't able to get one of my own until a year and a half ago. Having our golden retriever Tommy has completely changed my life for the better! I absolutely love dogs of all kinds and enjoy being outdoors and playing with them. I work full time remotely, so I am extremely available and flexible to your schedule. I can accommodate any needs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and everywhere in between. Tommy has been professionally trained and gets along great with other dogs. We are able to keep dogs in our apartment if needed, and have lots of parks and sidewalks near by for exercise. I currently work from home full time, so I am very flexible for your pets needs. I currently keep our golden retriever active (as he very much needs it!) and would love to add another dog to the bunch if needed. I live in an apartment but have lots of access to local parks and walking trails. I am available for drop-in visits and walks as well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
