About: We have had family dogs since I was a young girl. Since moving out on my own, I wanted to get a dog, but was not home frequently enough, initially with work & school obligations. I got 2 cats in the summer of 2023 & am wanting to help others care for their pets, as I find myself missing engagement with dogs & other family pets 💛 I am going to be working part-time and going to school part-time, which will be a reduction in my current schedule load. I am excited as this presents me with the opportunity to spend more time with pets! ❤️ This will also allow me the opportunity to “try on” the responsibility of caring for a dog and workshop any “need areas” before getting my own dog ☺️ I have a fenced-in yard and 2 cats live in my home. I have plenty of space to share in my townhouse & my neighborhood is conveniently walkable. There is another dog who lives next door, who is friendly & can keep your doggy company if you desire. I can easily crate your pup in an uncarpeted area, if necessary.

About: I grew up with pets, I have 3 dogs my oldest one is 11. I watch over a friend's dogs as of right now. I'll be able to walk your dog however long you would need me to and make sure they have water and are fed if needed. If there's any messes I see around I'll clean them up. My friend has a cat and I love going over to his house to pet her. she's grown a liking to me and I have to her as well, I give her treats time to time and pet her a lot. I don't know how to clean a litter box. but I can definitely give your cat some quality time and play, feed the cat and make sure they have water. I always make sure my pets have water, especially after a walk or if it's a hot day out. Love to play with my dogs and lay with them in the couch.

About: Stephanie developed her passion for dog training after adopting her third dog, Lance from a local shelter. He ended up having many behavior issues, leading Stephanie down this path. She read as many books and attended as many seminars as she could about dog training and behavior in order to help him. He made such wonderful progress and went from a scared, highly reactive dog to a confident NW2 dog before ultimately losing him unexpectedly in 2017 to lymphoma. He was one of those life changing dogs. Stephanie started nose work in 2010 and was hooked from day one. She is a CNWI who recently retired her original nose work dog Logan and is now competing with her third nose work dog Leena and working on her fourth dog Livvy. Along with nose work, she is our reactivity specialist. She is always eager to learn and gain more knowledge about dogs. She is currently being trained by her adorable pups – Leena, Leevi, Livvy & Lynzi. Stephanie is a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine (CBCC-KA), Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI). She also has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.

About: I’ve taken care of French bulldogs since I was 16 years old. I tend bond quickly with animals and have patience with animals that are aggressive or overly anxious. I’ve good with cats and dogs, as well as exotic pets like ferret's. I am currently working a full time job, and am also a college student dispite this I am quite good about time management. I care for my own cat and frequently help out with my sisters dogs that need to be walked and watched. When previously working for her I take the dogs for average of 3 walks one in the morning, then afternoon, then night. When it comes to pet care I will be able to do basically anything needed. If an animals needs to be put in the crate I am easily able to do so. If a pet were to get dirty I am good with cleaning if needed. I am a very determined individual who can cut stubborn animals nails if needed, but I also am good with animals who have issues. As I have experience with owning an aggressive dog myself.

About: I'm Julie (Jules), a graphic designer and creative director. I own a design and branding company in the Chicago/Milwaukee area that services clients locally, nationally and globally. I love all creative pursuits, including writing music for piano and singing. I've always loved all dogs, especially larger breeds (though the smaller pups are super cute and sweet and steal my heart equally!). My pup, Bella, a black lab mix, was a very kind, sweet and gentle dog. She passed in 2016 at age 14, having had a very nice life. I would love to help other fur babies who need caregiving while their humans are away or need a daily walk or check-in. I'm at home working during the week and have access to a wonderful backyard, an amazing neighborhood, and parks nearby. I love all outdoor activities, especially hiking and swimming. Would love to take your pups to the beach or on any sized walk they desire!! :) I offer these services because I love dogs, not to make a living. It's a great win/win to have a sweet fur baby around from time to time. Yes, it's nice to have some extra cash to work on the house, but my primary career more than covers my income needs. I share this info so you can be sure no other dogs will share your pup's time with me.* I keep to a strict policy of one-on-one care and up to two dogs from the same family... if you have more than two, please reach out, and I may be able to make exceptions. My rates reflect this customized care and focus for your sweet puppers! *In mid-2024, I started pairing up dogs that requested having another pup present from a different family. Please let me know if you are open to having a playmate for your pup. If you prefer no other dogs in the home while yours is here with me, I strictly adhere to your preferences and take this quite seriously. I specialize in customized care for dogs with behavioral issues such as not getting along with other dogs. Since my dog passed in 2016, I have been able to devote all my time to your pup when they're in my care. They will be carefully cared for and pampered, with every need catered to. The only thing I won't abide is a pup who isn't house-trained. If your dog/pup has never been left with a sitter before and you'd like to ensure they're a great house guest, I do suggest booking a 1-2 night stay much in advance of your trip so we can see if your pup has any specific issues to call out, and if I'm a good fit for them/you. I have found this to be of great benefit to you and me! I charge a cleaning fee IF your pup has "surprise" issues with incontinence, as this behavior can happen; however, I don't take on dogs with this issue unless we have a solution, like a doggy diaper or pee pads (for puppies). Severe separation anxiety can also be challenging, as my own pup had this issue. If there are situations such as this, I ask that you bring a crate, and the pup must be trained and be OK to be in their crate as needed. If no issues like these exist, they need to have their own bed or spot where they like to sleep. I don't allow dogs to sleep upstairs with me. Snuggling up on the sofa with a couple of pups is one of my favorite things to do. I know most dogs like a comfy bed. As noted above, please bring a fresh bed for your pet, either a cleaned dog bed from home or a new one. I have blankets for the floor and a lovely sofa that I cover with a blanket for the occasional daytime snooze. If you have an elderly dog, I know just what to do to provide the best care. As my dog Bella aged, I learned how to adapt every year. Listening to your dog and providing the best care is my priority. I realized that leaving an ailing or elderly pup in another person's care can be stressful. I would treat your dog like my own and hope to put your mind at rest. I welcome all questions as part of our meet + greet. I only sit for dogs I know or can meet during our meet + greet (unless out-of-town circumstances or timing prevail). I can sit at the last minute only for pups I've sat for previously or know well. If you are traveling from out of town and cannot sync up for a meet + greet, please reach out to discuss your situation. As far as breeds go, I have experience with an extensive range of breeds—larger breeds with special needs like an elevated dog water/food bowl due to how they process food or other breeds that are great with humans and not so wonderful with other dog breeds. I've had great results with training. I have experience with smaller breeds as well. As mentioned, I only sit for house-trained and well-behaved dogs in the home. I book up early... sometimes six months before a planned trip. Please plan ahead to secure your desired dates. I look forward to meeting your amazing pups soon!! Jules I'm home most of the time. About: I have taken care of dogs, cats and birds since I was 12 years old. Neighbors, friends and family relied on me to walk and feed their pets. I also worked for a veterinarian for about 2 years and I am currently going to school to become a veterinary technician. I have a 1 1/2-year-old dog that I am currently training her to be a therapy dog. I am available 7 days a week while working full-time Monday thru Friday. I’ll be able to pet sit in your home. About: I have one Chocolate Lab named Coco at home I’ve taken care of for about 13 years or so. There is also a small dog my roommate has I have taken care of before. My parents also have 2 cats at home I’ve cared for over the weekends. I am always willing to learn new things and help animals! I have college classes and get done by 2 so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I also come home to a little dog everyday that my roommate has so I’m used to seeing pets around me! I can clean up accidents from dogs and cats, have a great deal of experience with leash walking and supervise pets to avoid any harm happening to them.
