About: We have had family dogs since I was a young girl. Since moving out on my own, I wanted to get a dog, but was not home frequently enough, initially with work & school obligations. I got 2 cats in the summer of 2023 & am wanting to help others care for their pets, as I find myself missing engagement with dogs & other family pets 💛 I am going to be working part-time and going to school part-time, which will be a reduction in my current schedule load. I am excited as this presents me with the opportunity to spend more time with pets! ❤️ This will also allow me the opportunity to “try on” the responsibility of caring for a dog and workshop any “need areas” before getting my own dog ☺️ I have a fenced-in yard and 2 cats live in my home. I have plenty of space to share in my townhouse & my neighborhood is conveniently walkable. There is another dog who lives next door, who is friendly & can keep your doggy company if you desire. I can easily crate your pup in an uncarpeted area, if necessary.

About: I have one dog and one cat that tend to stay upstairs. I absolutely love animals, So I hope to have my own little hobby farm one day. If your pet is in my home, please know they’ll always feel loved, safe and most likely tired out from all out walks. I believe humans and animals benefit from exercise which helps with behavior, same for humans. So bring your pup to me, and they’ll be tired for you:) Also, I have a special place in my heart for special-needs animals that need a little extra love and patience. I have been doing dog-watching for the past four years, in addition to working part-time for 10 years. I work at a school right down the road, which is perfect for dog watching. I leave at 7am, and I’m back by 11am each day. I do boarding, play dates, pickups, drop-ins, and trips to the dog park. I have a fenced-in yard, so your dog may play, run, or simply get some fresh air. I spend my time walking dogs, feeding them, playing, cuddling, kisses, relaxing on the porch and constantly opening and closing the door so they can go outside. Ha! It’s my life, and I truly love it.

About: I've been around animals my whole life! Family and friends have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets, both cats and dogs. I also worked for Wag, which I thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much about caring for pets. My schedule is extremely flexible and I only work part time, so I can care for your pets at almost any time of day, especially mornings and afternoons. In a client's home, the pets are in a familiar environment with an unfamiliar person. So, the first thing I do is give the pets a chance to get used to me! Let them sniff me, let them approach me at their own pace.

About: I have had dogs my whole life, have helped train family pets, and am certified as a Comfort Dog handler. I have watched dogs from the wee size of a Chihuahua to big fluffy Newfoundlands. I love using patience and kindness to ensure your pups safety and well-being. I agrew up with the high energy of Border Collies, both young and older. I have dogsat at someone's house up to 5 dogs at a time, with varying food needs and medications. I try my best to be flexible and up for anything you need to ensure your furry friend is taken care of the same way I would care for my own. From walks, to watching them in my home, I am here to help you remain confident in your dog's care. For boarding, I do have two dogs that live in residence and would be available for a meet and greet prior to booking. I work a hybrid schedule, so some days I am fully working from home and other days I am in the office and usually pop home in the early afternoon to let my dogs out and finish the day working from home. Dogs get fed before I start work and dinner when I finish. If I work from home I usually take a break outside at some point to play with the pups and after work we can do walks or dog park or hanging out in the yard. I have a fenced yard and two other pups in the home who are relatively chill. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and get lots of snuggles. My own dogs are crate-trained but rarely use them. They are often left on the living room couch when I leave, with a baby gate keeping them in. Can use crates if needed, I own a size small and a size large. My dogs are 25 and 12 pounds. The smaller of the two is a rescue and is extremely chill and friendly to all other dogs. The bigger dog can be sensitive with other dogs sniffing his butt but the most he does is bark at them to move away. He usually minds his own space and doesn't play with other dogs much but also doesn't bother them.

About: I have experience in cat sitting with clients, some of them had anxious cats that were more on the spicy side. I gained their trust and surprised their owners when they found out how close and cuddly they got with me, that's my quality. I don't expect every cat to open all of their boundaries and I respect doing what they want. 😸 I am known to socialize with the cats outside of just feeding them and cleaning their litterbox. I have had 3 cats of my own, 2 which have been elderly cats who needed medicine and careful care. 💊 I am very good at administering meds and staying consistent. I have had two dogs which both crossed the rainbow bridge from elderly age (a malamute and a newfoundland). I am an equal cat and dog lover! I would love to have a dog again one day. I walk with a cane so I am comfortable walking small dogs. 🐶 I have a very flexible schedule since I work from home. I can stop by any time in the mornings, afternoons, and also early evenings. When going to a client's home, I am very careful when entering and exiting the home when the door opens. I also do a head count of any cats including my own before leaving a house. I know from my own pet that they like to get curious and can suddenly go into a bathroom or closet and can get closed in. Just like my teaching days - taking head counts is important! I also watch the pets as they eat especially if there are multiple in a house so that they don't overeat by sneaking snacks from their pet buddies food.

About: I'm Julie (Jules), a graphic designer and creative director. I own a design and branding company in the Chicago/Milwaukee area that services clients locally, nationally and globally. I love all creative pursuits, including writing music for piano and singing. I've always loved all dogs, especially larger breeds (though the smaller pups are super cute and sweet and steal my heart equally!). My pup, Bella, a black lab mix, was a very kind, sweet and gentle dog. She passed in 2016 at age 14, having had a very nice life. I would love to help other fur babies who need caregiving while their humans are away or need a daily walk or check-in. I'm at home working during the week and have access to a wonderful backyard, an amazing neighborhood, and parks nearby. I love all outdoor activities, especially hiking and swimming. Would love to take your pups to the beach or on any sized walk they desire!! :) I offer these services because I love dogs, not to make a living. It's a great win/win to have a sweet fur baby around from time to time. Yes, it's nice to have some extra cash to work on the house, but my primary career more than covers my income needs. I share this info so you can be sure no other dogs will share your pup's time with me.* I keep to a strict policy of one-on-one care and up to two dogs from the same family... if you have more than two, please reach out, and I may be able to make exceptions. My rates reflect this customized care and focus for your sweet puppers! *In mid-2024, I started pairing up dogs that requested having another pup present from a different family. Please let me know if you are open to having a playmate for your pup. If you prefer no other dogs in the home while yours is here with me, I strictly adhere to your preferences and take this quite seriously. I specialize in customized care for dogs with behavioral issues such as not getting along with other dogs. Since my dog passed in 2016, I have been able to devote all my time to your pup when they're in my care. They will be carefully cared for and pampered, with every need catered to. The only thing I won't abide is a pup who isn't house-trained. If your dog/pup has never been left with a sitter before and you'd like to ensure they're a great house guest, I do suggest booking a 1-2 night stay much in advance of your trip so we can see if your pup has any specific issues to call out, and if I'm a good fit for them/you. I have found this to be of great benefit to you and me! I charge a cleaning fee IF your pup has "surprise" issues with incontinence, as this behavior can happen; however, I don't take on dogs with this issue unless we have a solution, like a doggy diaper or pee pads (for puppies). Severe separation anxiety can also be challenging, as my own pup had this issue. If there are situations such as this, I ask that you bring a crate, and the pup must be trained and be OK to be in their crate as needed. If no issues like these exist, they need to have their own bed or spot where they like to sleep. I don't allow dogs to sleep upstairs with me. Snuggling up on the sofa with a couple of pups is one of my favorite things to do. I know most dogs like a comfy bed. As noted above, please bring a fresh bed for your pet, either a cleaned dog bed from home or a new one. I have blankets for the floor and a lovely sofa that I cover with a blanket for the occasional daytime snooze. If you have an elderly dog, I know just what to do to provide the best care. As my dog Bella aged, I learned how to adapt every year. Listening to your dog and providing the best care is my priority. I realized that leaving an ailing or elderly pup in another person's care can be stressful. I would treat your dog like my own and hope to put your mind at rest. I welcome all questions as part of our meet + greet. I only sit for dogs I know or can meet during our meet + greet (unless out-of-town circumstances or timing prevail). I can sit at the last minute only for pups I've sat for previously or know well. If you are traveling from out of town and cannot sync up for a meet + greet, please reach out to discuss your situation. As far as breeds go, I have experience with an extensive range of breeds—larger breeds with special needs like an elevated dog water/food bowl due to how they process food or other breeds that are great with humans and not so wonderful with other dog breeds. I've had great results with training. I have experience with smaller breeds as well. As mentioned, I only sit for house-trained and well-behaved dogs in the home. I book up early... sometimes six months before a planned trip. Please plan ahead to secure your desired dates. I look forward to meeting your amazing pups soon!! Jules I'm home most of the time. I work days and some evenings but make my own schedule. I'm available as needed for all types of customized care. I have a lovely yard for dog play. About: I’ve taken care of French bulldogs since I was 16 years old. I tend bond quickly with animals and have patience with animals that are aggressive or overly anxious. I’ve good with cats and dogs, as well as exotic pets like ferret's. I am currently working a full time job, and am also a college student dispite this I am quite good about time management. I care for my own cat and frequently help out with my sisters dogs that need to be walked and watched. When previously working for her I take the dogs for average of 3 walks one in the morning, then afternoon, then night. When it comes to pet care I will be able to do basically anything needed. If an animals needs to be put in the crate I am easily able to do so. If a pet were to get dirty I am good with cleaning if needed. I am a very determined individual who can cut stubborn animals nails if needed, but I also am good with animals who have issues. As I have experience with owning an aggressive dog myself.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for years, but done it more seriously the past three years. I do overnight stays with my friends/families dogs, and a lot of dog walking! I’ve done everything from administering medications to cleaning up accidents. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible! I don’t have time constraints (for the most part), so I can take my time caring for your pets. I would like to say I’m very good at being aware of my surroundings. I’ve taken care of dogs that aren’t dog-friendly, so I know how to handle those situations when on walks, etc. I also realize that growing trust with animals is extremely important.

About: I've been watching and caring for pets for over 8 years. My friends, coworkers and bosses have relied on me to walk their dogs, pet sit and care for their pets for several years. I'm more than happy to take your pets out for as many walks as needed at various hours of the day and I'm also ready to accommodate all of their needs, including feeding, playing with them, ensuring that they're happy and comfortable and spoiling them with toys and treats. Their safety always comes first. I usually go for a walk or run once or twice a day so I'm happy to take them out with me whenever possible. I have a fairly flexible schedule where I can pop in from time to time or work from home when needed. I have an entire bedroom that's unused that I'm happy to use as a pet room. I have plenty of space in my apartment for the pets and I have an entire field/track behind my apartment. I don't let the pets out of my sight, I ensure that they're always in a safe environment and I will always follow the owner's instructions. If any issues ever arise I will always contact the owner and consult before I make any decisions. I can always provide the right nutrition and keep them on schedule if needed.

About: Stephanie developed her passion for dog training after adopting her third dog, Lance from a local shelter. He ended up having many behavior issues, leading Stephanie down this path. She read as many books and attended as many seminars as she could about dog training and behavior in order to help him. He made such wonderful progress and went from a scared, highly reactive dog to a confident NW2 dog before ultimately losing him unexpectedly in 2017 to lymphoma. He was one of those life changing dogs. Stephanie started nose work in 2010 and was hooked from day one. She is a CNWI who recently retired her original nose work dog Logan and is now competing with her third nose work dog Leena and working on her fourth dog Livvy. Along with nose work, she is our reactivity specialist. She is always eager to learn and gain more knowledge about dogs. She is currently being trained by her adorable pups – Leena, Leevi, Livvy & Lynzi. Stephanie is a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine (CBCC-KA), Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI). She also has a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University.
