I have dogsat at someone's house up to 5 dogs at a time, with varying food needs and medications. From walks, to watching them in my home, I am here to help you remain confident in your dog's care. For boarding, I do have two dogs that live in residence and would be available for a meet and greet prior to booking. I work a hybrid schedule, so some days I am fully working from home and other days I am in the office and usually pop home in the early afternoon to let my dogs out and finish the day working from home. Dogs get fed before I start work and dinner when I finish. If I work from home I usually take a break outside at some point to play with the pups and after work we can do walks or dog park or hanging out in the yard. I have a fenced yard and two other pups in the home who are relatively chill. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and get lots of snuggles. My own dogs are crate-trained but rarely use them. They are often left on the living room couch when I leave, with a baby gate keeping them in. Can use crates if needed, I own a size small and a size large. My dogs are 25 and 12 pounds. The smaller of the two is a rescue and is extremely chill and friendly to all other dogs. The bigger dog can be sensitive with other dogs sniffing his butt but the most he does is bark at them to move away. He usually minds his own space and doesn't play with other dogs much but also doesn't bother them.
About: I have experience in cat sitting with clients, some of them had anxious cats that were more on the spicy side. I gained their trust and surprised their owners when they found out how close and cuddly they got with me, that's my quality. I don't expect every cat to open all of their boundaries and I respect doing what they want. 😸 I am known to socialize with the cats outside of just feeding them and cleaning their litterbox. I have had 3 cats of my own, 2 which have been elderly cats who needed medicine and careful care. 💊 I am very good at administering meds and staying consistent. I have had two dogs which both crossed the rainbow bridge from elderly age (a malamute and a newfoundland). I am an equal cat and dog lover! I would love to have a dog again one day. I walk with a cane so I am comfortable walking small dogs. 🐶 I have a very flexible schedule since I work from home. I can stop by any time in the mornings, afternoons, and also early evenings. When going to a client's home, I am very careful when entering and exiting the home when the door opens. I also do a head count of any cats including my own before leaving a house. I know from my own pet that they like to get curious and can suddenly go into a bathroom or closet and can get closed in. Just like my teaching days - taking head counts is important! I also watch the pets as they eat especially if there are multiple in a house so that they don't overeat by sneaking snacks from their pet buddies food.

I specialize in customized care for dogs with behavioral issues such as not getting along with other dogs. Since my dog passed in 2016, I have been able to devote all my time to your pup when they're in my care. They will be carefully cared for and pampered, with every need catered to. The only thing I won't abide is a pup who isn't house-trained. If your dog/pup has never been left with a sitter before and you'd like to ensure they're a great house guest, I do suggest booking a 1-2 night stay much in advance of your trip so we can see if your pup has any specific issues to call out, and if I'm a good fit for them/you. I have found this to be of great benefit to you and me! I charge a cleaning fee IF your pup has "surprise" issues with incontinence, as this behavior can happen; however, I don't take on dogs with this issue unless we have a solution, like a doggy diaper or pee pads (for puppies). Severe separation anxiety can also be challenging, as my own pup had this issue. If there are situations such as this, I ask that you bring a crate, and the pup must be trained and be OK to be in their crate as needed. If no issues like these exist, they need to have their own bed or spot where they like to sleep. I don't allow dogs to sleep upstairs with me. Snuggling up on the sofa with a couple of pups is one of my favorite things to do. I know most dogs like a comfy bed. As noted above, please bring a fresh bed for your pet, either a cleaned dog bed from home or a new one. I have blankets for the floor and a lovely sofa that I cover with a blanket for the occasional daytime snooze. If you have an elderly dog, I know just what to do to provide the best care. As my dog Bella aged, I learned how to adapt every year. Listening to your dog and providing the best care is my priority. I realized that leaving an ailing or elderly pup in another person's care can be stressful. I would treat your dog like my own and hope to put your mind at rest. I welcome all questions as part of our meet + greet. I only sit for dogs I know or can meet during our meet + greet (unless out-of-town circumstances or timing prevail). I can sit at the last minute only for pups I've sat for previously or know well. If you are traveling from out of town and cannot sync up for a meet + greet, please reach out to discuss your situation. As far as breeds go, I have experience with an extensive range of breeds—larger breeds with special needs like an elevated dog water/food bowl due to how they process food or other breeds that are great with humans and not so wonderful with other dog breeds. I've had great results with training. I have experience with smaller breeds as well. As mentioned, I only sit for house-trained and well-behaved dogs in the home. About: I have 4 of my own fur babies all under 20lbs. I have a fenced yard and love watching them run around and play. I live in a safe neighborhood where walks are easy and fulfilling. I have recently helped neighbors with their dogs and realized how much I enjoy playing with other dogs. I know how much it means to me when my dog sitter really pays attention to my dogs while I'm away and hope to bring that comfort to your fur baby when your away too! About: Have administered specialized medicine to senior animals for ongoing diseases such as kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. Was very diligent nursing my senior kitty before he passed. I work and go to school so my schedule varies but I always have some nights and mornings free each week that I would love to use on animals. Constant Care policy: if you are needing constant care that would require me to not leave for more than 4 hours, please book atleast 2 weeks ahead of whatever dates you need so I can accommodate that. I would also need to adjust my rate to reflect the lost income. I understand and respect animals boundaries and try my best not to encroach them. I've also mastered the "foot as barrier" approach when opening doors.

She helped me be familiar with giving oral medication and needing lots of naps and low-key play times! Besides Chance, I’ve had dogs whose ages range from 5 months to 10 years of age, and a variety of different breeds and sizes! I am comfortable with tug of war, playing fetch, or a good snuggle and belly rub. Currently we have two kitties and a doggo that just turned a year and an half (we’re working on behavioral needs with her so I’m very patient!) Are walks your furry best friend's favorite thing to do? Just leave me a note or give me instructions (if needed) in case they are really energetic or have a bigger than life personality so I know what they need. I know that their mom or dad is the best, but it’s my hope to help them not miss you as much while you're gone so I will make it a fun time for them and love them and care for them like they were my own. As far as how pet care fits into my daily routine, I would be available to walk or do check ins any time after 1 pm Monday-Thursdays and on Fridays anytime after 9 am as I am currently working summer school so have more flexibility in my schedule. Weekends are mostly free for the above mentioned as well as house sitting, I do like to keep some weekends free for a better work life balance though but of course still reach out and we can chat! For house sits I can do up to 4 days unless we’ve spoken of other arrangements; due to family/work life balance I will no longer do more than stated above unless I’ve already had you as a house sitting client prior. With doing house sits during summer I of course will be out of the house still for about 5 hours for working at school so I like to be up front about that but besides running a quick errand I would be back at your house so you can make sure your furry friend is receiving the best care while you’re away! I will care for your pets as if they were family. I will be as hands off or hands on as needed depending on what they like or need. :) I also do have my husband come with me to all meet and greets due to safety reasons. He will not come to the walking or drop ins when being done.
About: I have one dog and one cat that tend to stay upstairs. I absolutely love animals, So I hope to have my own little hobby farm one day. If your pet is in my home, please know they’ll always feel loved, safe and most likely tired out from all out walks. I believe humans and animals benefit from exercise which helps with behavior, same for humans. So bring your pup to me, and they’ll be tired for you:) Also, I have a special place in my heart for special-needs animals that need a little extra love and patience. I have been doing dog-watching for the past four years, in addition to working part-time for 10 years. I work at a school right down the road, which is perfect for dog watching. I leave at 7am, and I’m back by 11am each day. I do boarding, play dates, pickups, drop-ins, and trips to the dog park. I have a fenced-in yard, so your dog may play, run, or simply get some fresh air. I spend my time walking dogs, feeding them, playing, cuddling, kisses, relaxing on the porch and constantly opening and closing the door so they can go outside. Ha! It’s my life, and I truly love it.
