“Deanne is awesome, she cared for our Buddy like her own pet! Very nice feeling when you’re away from home! We will use her expertise again, and again!! Thanks so much Deanne!!”

“Rachel was absolutely wonderful with Dottie. Being new to the area and having to travel for business, I was very nervous finding a new sitter as Dottie has some extra needs in her older age. I appreciate Rachel’s updates and willingness to help in a time of need. Thanks again, Rachel!”

“I couldn’t be happier, Veronique was a great sitter. My dogs seems very happy and she took very good care of them. She gave them complementally bath before I picked them up. She sent me photos and videos every day to let me know how they were doing and how they interacted with her dogs and cat. Her house, back porch and backyard are really clean, well taken care of and super nice environment for dogs to run free.”

“If you want your pet to feel like they are home - this is it. Can't say enaugh good things about Melissa. Not only she rescued me with last moment stay but gave my dog most amazing care!”

“We cannot begin to say how accommodating and wonderful Brianna was while she was boarding Cali. She made sure that Cali's routine/ schedule was followed and kept her busy throughout the day. She integrated Cali into her family and made sure "our baby" was given the attention and love she's used to. We highly recommend Brianna to anyone wanting the best care for their pet...”

“Alyssa is amazing. She LOVES pups and takes care of them like they were her own. She cuddles them, plays with them, walks them, and does whatever you ask her to do. She is a delight to deal with, so positive and loving. I received photos, videos and puppy updates periodically every day. I highly recommend Alyssa. You’d be lucky to have her caring for your pup!”

“Valeria is a wonderful dog sitter! She picked up my dog from my cousin’s house nearby and had him while we were traveling overseas. She sent photos of him inside, on walks, and playing. At least 3 a day. She had very specific questions about him and asked permission for types of treats. She was always available to message back and forth about my dog and was very clear about how he spent his days. My dog looked very happy and very well cared-for at her house. I definitely recommend Valeria and will absolutely re-book with her!”

“Ryann is absolutely AMAZING! She was extremely reliable, attentive, and patient with my in-training pup and my delayed flight. She took Enzo to the dog park, sent me pictures/videos daily (which I loved), and had other pets for him to play with. Could not have asked for a better dog sitter! Everything about this past weekend was perfect and went super smooth all thanks to her. She’s at the top of my list now!”

“Francine is very professional, a true dog lover and immensely kind with every one and every special needs. I had my little one taken care for 4th July weekend in a very short notice Francine was very eased very much our meet and greet appointment at her place. I received plenty of photos and I was relaxed and very happy during my dog’s stay. I would definitely book her again!”
“Meagen and her family are awesome!!! The really put my mind at ease. Meagen was very attentive to the needs of Olaf and myself. Pictures and daily updates were definitively appreciated. Will be using her again for short and long stays. BTW, Bastian is wonderful as well.”

“Christy communicated really well. I had a family emergency at the end of Kali's stay and needed to extend her stay. Christy accommodated and wished us well. She even let me pick up Kali for a "sleep over one night since I was going through Kali withdrawal. It meant she had to get up an hour early the next day so I could drop her off again on my way back to the hospital. AMAZING team her and her daughters.”

“Rusty was a great match for our Frankie. At the meet and greet he asked many questions to get to know Frankie's personality. We left him for 10 nights and had daily pictures/movies of Frankie. Frankie is a senior and in the hot days of July his comfort was considered. It was nice to leave him in good care.”

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve had the joy of raising two dogs from puppies, giving me firsthand experience with everything from potty training and basic training to the high energy and patience that young dogs require. I have been dog sitting for friends & family in Michigan & Illinois for 3 years now. In my professional life, I’m an Occupational Therapist who works with older adults. I regularly help residents safely care for and enjoy time with their beloved pets, so I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behavior, adapting to individual needs, and providing calm, attentive care. I’m also comfortable with senior dogs who may need a slower pace. Because I’m young and active, I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and adventures that help energetic dogs stay happy and engaged. Whether your pup wants a long walk, a game of fetch, or just lots of cuddles and companionship, I’ll tailor my care to their personality and routine. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re safe, loved, and having a great time while you’re away! I work a normal 9-5 Monday-Friday. Therefore I prefer to do Friday afternoon-Sunday evening stays! This way I am available 24/7 for the pet. I have a fenced in yard (that is also dig proof). I currently have one very friendly dog who would be eager to any pups companion. My dog is allowed on furniture/in beds. We have a lot of sidewalks & trails within our neighborhood for walks. I have multiple security cameras.
“Mary and Norman were wonderful. They sent photo updates each day and let me know how things were going. I could tell that my dog was very comfortable with them and will definitely use them again!”

“Joe and Elizabeth took a great care of Weddy when we were out. They are lovely persons and truly enjoy being with dogs. We received several pictures of Weddy during our stay out and were sure he had a great time! We´ll contact them again in the future for another great time!”
“Koka wasvjust great! She provided me with almost daily feedbacks about Lulu. I could see that Lulu was getting to be comfortable with her and her family and I even told my husband that she may not want to return home with us. I finally found acdog sitter who Lulu loves and loves Lulu in return! A million thanks Koka!”
“Jordan is wonderful! She is so nice to work and I will definitely use her again. Our Luna was super excited to see her after staying with her once before - which is really a comfort when leaving her. Knowing we'll use her again says it all!”

“Hannah is probably one of the best dog sitters I’ve met. Piper would rather stay with her than come home! Without a doubt will be using Hannah as much as possible. She sends daily updates and her timely replies and flexibility is unmatched.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
